Well, the interest list ( here and PM's) has already exceeded my build target, lol! Just knowing there are passionate OG owners further validates the special nature of this game....btw...this mod will NOT disappoint

I would have been in, given the way that my MK6 Apron turned out, very thorough!
But I have my own Hypersleep thing that I'm already doing. Just a One off, but it's already planned out though and underway.

No worries at all, Pinbud! This is an area that really needed to be addressed proper. Mine is unique in that it also leverages the other underutilized area of the game.. the playfield screen!
I tend to take a robust, themed approach for my games, paying attention to the luttle things, and this will be no exception. The apron truly turned out how I'd wanted it, complementing the vibe, not just throwing a bunch of blinky shit at it.
Such a great, unique game deserves this, imho...looking forward to a few in the community to share this with...

Well I really thought that pinball owners were a nice group of people well that is until I came in this thread, I have never seen such a bunch of stuck up nancy boys who complain at the slightest thing, boo hoo they won't update my game for free. I was the one who came up with the mini beacons and posted it saying that i am making the mod package for them for everyone, who several people then promptly stole my idea and packaged it and sold them all over without giving me a single ounce of credit or anything, including PB with my idea, who tell us OG owners to f off but literally took all our mods WE made and then slapped them in another machine to sell as a "special edition". I also was the one who got everyone that credit with new PB that got screwed over by heighway. Those coupons PB did for us owners was all me, and I even got a C&D over it due to pushing them. So what the heck did you ever contribute besides steal a mod/design from us and then try and sell us it back for double the price?!?!?

Let me "enunciate" for you. There are amazing people in here, and you have zero clue or care as to why the PB story adds further salt. Haven't shed a tear for something I knew would never materialize. Your wise insight and name calling/comments have cut so deep though, crying as I write this....
(lost $75.00 per unit on my LIMITED run of aprons that were shared with a few in the community. It WAS done for the better of the community, don't give a shit if you believe it or not).
Most know the history of "your" apron very well.....post anytime you feel like it.....public forum.

He's not going to know what you're talking about when you say "Original Game" Lol. They have a complex where they call the Heighway Alien the "Prototype", when really the case is that they own a Sternified Knock-Off . . . just some of them seem very passionate about their new "ALIEN Pro Vault Edition" while they can't seem to comprehend what or Whoms first made the game something Worth Copying (badly). Or why PB gets resentment; there are a multitude of factors right. I remember listening to all those PB interviews, and all the Dickish statements, and retarded 'decisions'.
The Waste, and for what; spite?. The Cabinet Factory story is a sad one. Andrew H is just as much of a C$%T as PB are, they are worthy competitors. Money slu+s.

Pinside Post Of The Day for me, couldn't help but share an eyeroll and a chuckle Lol
PB thread: "I have tried to get direct capture and haven't got it to work using the LVDS-hdmi boards. I would LOVE to get direct video for streaming and add an apron screen. I never remember to look up at the LCD"
It lives! For the first time since March 2018, tonight I was able to play my OG Alien, SN SE0110. Lots of irritation involved:
* Replaced IO board #3 (Thank you, Mr. Pinball!). Started game - no right flippers. 
* Tried coil test. No coils worked, even though some worked in game mode. Yes, the interlock switch was pulled out.
* Updated firmware to V1.4. Still no working coil test.
* Decided to try a switch test. No right flipper button! Traced wires, found connector unplugged.
* Right flippers work! But no sound.
* Noticed speaker wires unplugged from amp. Pushed terminal, and button & spring fell out. In trying to reinstall it, another button fell out. Finest Chinese quality. Had to insert a punch to bend the metal tabs to hold the buttons in. Reinstalled amp, reinserted speaker wires. Still no sound.
* Noticed amp had no power. Traced wires, found they weren’t plugged in. Plugged in, still no power. Wiggled wires, and amp intermittently came on.
* Took back plate off of amp, expecting a cold solder joint on the power connector. Nope, it looked good. Dug up a 12V wall wart with a compatible jack and plugged it in - solid connection.
* Dug around in my junk pile for similar connectors that I’d cut off dead wall warts. Found one that fit the amp tighter than the original. Clipped original and soldered in replacement. No intermittence. Glorious stereo sound.
* When I was in switch test mode, I noticed the target to the left of the right ramp could not close. Loosened up screws and pushed left, but target still rubbed against ramp guide. Removed target, reamed out holes, tightened screws with target as far left as possible. Works!
* Still no coils fire in coil test mode with interlock switch closed. What am I missing?
Anyhoo, I’m sad it took me so long to get around to fixing it, but happy that I can play it again. It’s not one, but two amazingly well done adaptations. It’s too bad Heighway didn’t survive to do more.

I think you have to close the door, yeah, then firing the Coil to Test we have to hit the Start button?. Was a while ago since test coil firing for me, but some intricacy of the test menu took me a bit to work out how to operate Coil Tests there. Doesn't work like WPC tests.
