Quoted from neverahighscore:

I know from your posts that you go thru games very quickly. But if you want to start resolving issues like with your BSD, the manual can be your best friend. If you don't have a manual, they are easily available. Everything from description to location of parts, boards, etc. are in the manual. Even if you're new at process and repair, this is a great way to get your feet wet. Good luck!

This is great advice. You can learn so much by reading the manual and working through your problems with a little bit of patience. Always good to ask for help too, but you should do some research so you know what people are telling you to do.
That's how i have learnt so much about my pins. Hopefully you can work out your problem.

Just did this dark crimson for a customers BSD

That looks great! It's what i eventually want to do when i restore my BSD too!

#4912 6 years ago

I finally joined the BSD club. She is a striaght container pin with lots of dodgey fixes and things that need to be fixed/replaced when i start the rebuild but for now i can enjoy playing it.

Has anyone gotten Joes newest Topper for their BSD yet?

#4929 6 years ago
Quoted from marksf123:

Micro confirmed he will be making BSD playfields soon - great news

That's great news! Can you post a link please?

#4933 6 years ago
Quoted from marksf123:

Where do you pick it up? How much is it?

You can get Joes new BSD topper from the below link.
They added it to the store today.

Quoted from mollyspub:

Looks great but man they are expensive !

You should try living in Australia with the exchange rate and then adding the postage on top of it.
Will look great once it arrives though.

#4937 6 years ago
Quoted from marksf123:

Not sure what you mean by posting a link? I sent him an email asking the question and he sent a quick note back that said "it is one of the next to run on his machine".
I didn't ask him but I don't think he would mind me posting his response - figure he does want to sell them once he makes them.

Sorry, i meant a link to where the playfields will be available to buy.

Does anyone make a BSD translate?

I did a bit of searching last year and couldn't find anything.

It would be nice if someone did as i need a new one also.

I offer this finish for anyone looking. It looks mostly black but has a great red flake

I like that! I'll have to see if my local guys can do it.

Looks like they are on a wait list. These guys have them in stock i think but has anyone ever used them?
http://www.pinballspareparts.com.au/parts-by-machine/williams-parts/bram-stoker-s-dracula/31-1744-14.html

I have purchased a lot of parts off of Mark and the team at pspa. They are great to deal with and always up for a chat about parts if you need help with anything.

Hello, this is my very first post ever on Pinside....and I am happy to join this awesome BSD members club . I am currently finishing BSD restoration and want share with you how I approached my BSD topper mod which I made during wait for restoration parts. It is still kind of wip, but you can already take a look[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That looks pretty cool! I would be keen if you made some to sell.

Today I finally updated BSD with my home made coffin and headstone mod. I tried to make it little bit visually closer to other playfield plastics. Headstone lights will get an update probably too if time allows
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

That looks great!
Sign me up if you make anymore of them! I would love to have that on my game.

I just scrolled back up and realised you were the same bloke who made that great looking topper! What are you working on next for BSD?
Hopefully you are looking at selling a few of your mods in the future.

Quoted from wugly:

quick question. I have had my bsd for a short time and have just finished replacing the ramps. I have noticed that occasionally I have a ball drop into the castle lock even though the diverter is up and the ball doesn't hit when I have a slow moving ball. is this normal or should the ball continue past if not diverted if moving slow?

This is normal for a slow moving ball. Every BSD I have played has had this happen while playing.

Back in the Club with an amazing SP. Won't be letting this go Ever. Missed it so so much.
Paid up for the SP in amazing condition. No fade on cabinet.
Working on Magnet issue now but should have that ironed out sooner than later.

You won't. BSD is not friendly for a family setting or with casual players.

If set up correctly it isn't that bad. It is still a hard game that will kick your ass though.

Some new art is available. Comes bloodied or non.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Now that looks cool! I would be keen if you made some sets.

#6531 4 years ago
Quoted from Trident:

Not sure who designed this art but they did a hell of a job.

I would assume since Pinstein posted all the images that he designed the new art that looks awesome!

Have you got any pics? I'm keen to see what it looks like with the blue powder coating!

#6729 4 years ago

As above, that blue powder coating looks great! Do you happen to know what the colour is called by any chance?

#6736 4 years ago
Quoted from wcbrandes:

The seller got back, it's from pinballcoating.com and is called candy blue. 6 to 12 months and 2k cost as apparently quite the process. I feel bad now if this gets scratched lol

Thanks for finding out! It looks so good but damn that is expensive.

Quoted from Darscot:

Classic Arcades is the seller I got them from, do not recommend. I ordered them months ago but just got started on the project, if it wasn't so long ago I would be trying to get my money back.

Classic Arcades sell some pretty rubbish repros. A lot of their plastics are the wrong colours.
