I played the GB premium a bunch this weekend at the Rocky Mountain show. It's really nice, but that game is hard. It has a few narrow shots shared with the pro. I'm still considering a pro or just waiting. Tough call at this point. I really like the game overall, I'm just not sure I must have it now. For now, the manga slings are just okay. I'm sure they will get better with time. The big ramp and subway are definitely cool. So are the ecto goggles. The moving slimmer is neat, but not a deal breaker. Just as I am complaining about it being hard, Henry (9) puts up 94 million on GB Pro and 114 million on GB Prem a few minutes later.
He has his moments, but he's every bit a 9 year old. He gets frustrated, mad, sad etc. Some games he doesn't even pay attention. It's those moments when all the lights turn on that I'm happy for him. I hope he sticks with it and can enjoy pinball for many years to come. I'm not a good practice partner for him.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Yep, and it will be here on Monday!!! Can't wait for you guys to come by for a visit next!!!
It looks beautiful, but very expensive. Let me unburden you with a slight geographic relocation of SafeCracker...
Yeah it's a fun game. I like banter about it, but really I can wait until one finds me. I really enjoy the coming and going and I've already had a good bit of traffic for 2016. I need to chill a little and enjoy.
BTW, I'm heading down most likely the day after the tournament on the 17th for a swap with Jody.
Quoted from KingNine:Some Father's Day fun at the Mafia Headquarters.
I'm a big believer in a little father and son Novus time.
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Game room looks great man. Just doing a little rearranging before the tournament. Also I sold the pool table so now plenty more room for pins.
Collection is looking great. Man you have moved a lot of games in and out in the last few years! Sorry to miss your tournament. I'll be in LC the next day.
I'm thinking September for a Shreveport Tournament. I will propose a few good dates for me and see what works for the largest number of players. It will be on a Saturday. I will likely need a tournament director as I have not previously hosted or directed one.
Available roster for play
GoT Pro
LOTR LE
ST LE
AMH
Full Throttle
Banzai Tun
Centigrade 37
Big Bang Bar
Possible Undecided new game (if below sells)
Maybes (if they don't sell to a local operator first)
Ship Ahoy
JM
For the non-Facebook. Currently looking at Sept 17 or 24. I have some local guys that I need to hear from.
Working on a deal for a game. If I make the deal while in Mexico, but the game is in the USA, is that an international purchase?
Sept 24 looks like my best day for a tournament in Shreveport. I'm going to reach out to a few folks to nail down the format and time.
I'm looking forward to it.
Quoted from Nevus:Sept 24 looks like my best day for a tournament in Shreveport. I'm going to reach out to a few folks to nail down the format and time.
I'm looking forward to it.
Jodester will be the TD for the gathering. We will set the format and time to best accomodate the group. I'll put this on the FB page as well.
A nice addition to the tourney!
I'm trying to come up with a few surprises for the Red River Replay. No spoilers will be provided!
Quoted from TigerLaw:We play tested Varkon last night. It will be a tournament game, set to three balls, it's playing really great.
I don't know if IFPA keep records, but thats got to be a first. Varkon in a Tournament.
You should see if you can add a high score at Twin Galaxies, who would be able to beat it?
Quoted from fumbleflippers:I'm picking up a pin in the gulf coast area tomorrow morning and I was gonna try and come over for the tournament but the flooding is looking pretty bad. I'm going for the pin anyway so I'll check the road conditions when I p/u and still try to make it if possible
Flooding is over rated. Go meet tithe gang!
John has a nice Congo in the market. It will be here at the tournament on Sept 24. I believe he's willing to make a deal if someone wants to take it home from the tourney. Just send him a PM.
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Im looking to trade my X-Men LE Wolverine. Id trade down a little for the right pin. id also do 2 for one deals also. im open for suggestions if anybody is interested.
Mudflaps might be in the market.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Anyone here getting in on the new Batman?
No way. This PF stuff has got to be addressed. Games are flooding the market and I have a lot of old games still on my list. I think my next new game will be an Alien Kit. Other than that, I'm passing on new Sterns for a while. I'm really enjoying my current line up.
Dr dude is the latest drop off from Charlie the local operator. Not mine, but a loaner to shop and enjoy for a few weeks as a favor for shopping it. It's not working properly now, but I plan to get it going in time.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Are we getting a both at HAAG? With Marcus being the tourney director I plan to spend most of the show in the tourney area like we did last year.
I hadn't thought of it, but I wasn't planning to bring games. Do you want it just to support the show or for a specific reason like placing our games? I had a good time last year just hanging out in the tournament room.
I'm happy to support the show, but find the DJ area not to my liking. I only go in there to look for my kids.
Quoted from Vino:I have no business in your thread but I wish I was an honorary member.
My sister lived in Baton Rouge for years.
Had to thumb up a few awesome recent purchases, along great charity work/tourneys you put on.
That is all. I'm out. Carry on.
$375 round trip SFO to Shreveport weekend of 9/24!

Quoted from Mudflaps:Looks awesome! Can't wait for the next one.
Yep I thought about you yesterday. It won't be long. Good times are ahead.
I registered my Centigrade 37 and Medieval Madness for the 2017 Texas Pinball Festival. Let's get the Arklatex and Gulf Coast groups together again at the show.
Quoted from scottslash:Yes, Nevus, count me in for bringing a game to TPF as part of Ark-La-Tex!
Awesome.
What a great weekend of events! I totally owe you guys trip down for an upcoming tournament. I had commitments I couldn't break both Sat and Sun. Those trophies are awesome!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all in November.
Maybe I can get Mudflaps to come with me (to Lake Charles) next time. He will arrive in Shreveport soon.
Game preserve
I found a burger sports bar / tap house with 3 modern sterns last fall. Forget the name.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Congrats!
The two HEP games are arriving in LC tomorrow by the way. I will wait to unbox them till we have a party of some kind.
You beautiful game room is a bit full, perhaps I should store the Medusa here for a while. Alternatively, I could "slum it" with your Sorcerer if needed.
Great show, good friends and good fun!
My visiting non collector friends love the Pacman Battle Royale. Who doesn't?
My vacation from pinball is over.
After my tournament in September I burned out and work got really busy. HAAG got me back in the spirit. Last night I hit the STLE and Safecracker for a while. I'm hoping to play a bunch this weekend.
Great day here with extended family and I opened up the game room. I went out this evening and found most of the games on in a four player game with the music screaming.
Still, a good day of pinball.
Quoted from PavBall:We hope you host another tournament soon!!
It was really fun. I'll be happy to have another get together or tournament as soon as you are travel worthy. Babies are welcome here!
Mudflaps has landed in Shreveport. He came by yesterday for some pinball and catching up. He will be joining us in our general pinball mischief for the foreseeable future.
Quoted from TigerLaw:We have a strict rule that the baby must...
Many more of those lines to be crossed in the future. Beautiful baby and momma. I'm really happy for you both.
I'm back to playing and ready for a new game. I'm mostly playing Jody's GoT and loving it. I need either another temp trade or sell something. My funds are low. My Full Throttle will be a year old when Texas comes around. I'm also on the fence about restoring my EBD or paying someone.
Quoted from Leakyfaucet:I'm not sure exactly, more than I'll have any time soon.... I hope.
It will fit 8
He will tell the wife 7
He will cram 10!
Quoted from GreenWave:BM66 LE is arriving to New Orleans today!
Congratulations. It looks like a nice game. I'm outpriced on new games for a while. It looks like Texas before I will get to see either BM66 or Dialed In.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Are you considering having Keith do the restore on the EBD? He has my Quicksilver now, should get to it in February or so. Really looking forward to seeing what he does with it.
I've considered it. I'm really on the fence about doing it myself vs having him do it. I have feeling it would be very rewarding to do it myself.
Happy new year!
Here is my New Years (Pinball) resolution.
I would like to have a club calendar full of local and regional events to look forward to this year. Please copy and paste the schedule as you add to it.
In 2016, I had a party in April and a Red River Replay in September. I'm ready to do, at least, that again this year. Dates are flexible for me. Mudflaps has 5 seriously beautiful games and he's just a few miles down the road from me now! Let's invite ourselves to his house.
Lastly, some of us treaveled to other shows in 2016. The Moncla's went on a US tour. Henry and I went to Rocky Mountain. Let's do more of that. I would love to road trip to Atlanta this year and try the Southern Fried with some of our group.

Quoted from TigerLaw:Sounds like a fun way to kick off the summer. Perhaps we rent a couple RVs from Cruising USA and make a six day trip out of it.
That could be fun.
Quoted from TigerLaw:I could sell PavBall on it, espeically if Pinball-is-Great would drive it down to me next time he was up there. Sadly, it would mean she would make me get rid of Varkon or worse...not get Dialed In.
Looking forward to playing Dialed In at TPF. Hopefully, the 2017 TPF.
Drool!
Academy gift card for Christmas. Heading tomorrow for purchase of cooking rig! I'm ready to eat and they're too hig cooked right now.
Quoted from Zukboy2002:IS there something going on this weekend i didnt know about?
Yes
He's been asking me for a while to get one. I ordered a Premium after the TPF and then cancelled with the PF issues etc that happened over the summer. I'm really glad I changed my mind, the game is great fun.
Quoted from Arcade:We took a chance and got one of the first Premiums off the line.
Worked out great. Playfield is still fantastic.
Certainly one of Sterns greatest.
That's great news. I'm glad I went ahead and got it. I remember how much fun it was at TPF. That enjoyment came right back to me this week.
I really like Batman 66 and totally did not expect that I would. It's quite fun, but pricey. I would like to make my next game a Spooky if it appeals to me.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Is there a Aliens pinball in Henry's future?
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/alien-pinball-official-game-thread
I'm not sure. I'm thinking about selling Full Throttle to try something new. Alien does look great. My current money is going to Keith Holbrook to restore my 81 Eight Ball Deluxe. Dropping it off next weekend!
Quoted from Spg101:I got "the bug" bug time on pinball after my 11 year old sone drug me to an arcade in Houston. I've been playing my machine every night since I bought it. There have to be some "tricks of the trade" I can pick up on. Bought one, now wanting more. Doctor told me I shouldn't be riding dirt bikes anymore, time for a new hobby?
Welcome! We have nice group from a large area (especiall if you count us Yankees up here in Shreveport) that likes to get together. Looking forward to meeting you.
Hoping to have ULMPharmD and Mudflaps come by Saturday to play some pinball.
Alien is looking good, so I will likely keep the full throttle for now and play the Alien as TPF. I'm looking to keep costs down and don't plan to buy anything for a while. My current money is going to the EBD restore.
Looking forward to talking with Dennis and Leon about their Full Throttle experience.
I've been doing some custom work on the Big Bang Bar. Thanks to a few tips from Aaron and some other friends. BBB doesn't have a true GI like most pins and mine has an LED OCD board. I've added a Dual (12v and 5v) power supply for mods by tapping in to the On/Off switch.
So far I have added the PBL bright flipper buttons in green and made a custom light board for my back glass. The colors look really good on my first attempt. I've used an RGB strip and just jump to whatever colors needed to get Red, Green, Blue or combinations. The start button a light green and only fits a standard 555 incandescent. I shaved down a UV 555 LED and got it to fit. It makes a very nice deep blue on the button.
I also had previously changed my rubber rings to Titan clear. This game has such great colors!
Quoted from Arcade:I can only imagine trying to pay for a $12,000 or more Batman. They must have deep pockets or a lot of guts putting over $30,000 worth of pins in a gas station strip center.
Are they some kind of tax Jedi, manipulating the losses?
Quoted from TigerLaw:Actually, if you hit both flipped buttons simultaneously it will force release the ball from the magnet and will not go straight down the middle.
Get that man a Shasta product!
Quoted from Spg101:Ok, I have to work into this slowly. I'm having a hard enough time convincing my wife to let another in the house. The WoZ is "office decoration" Was looking for something fast and furious and heard AC/DC is it. Plus I've seen them in concert 4x. What would you recommend?
If you like AC/DC, and you appear to, it's the perfect game! The first Stern with whole songs integrated rather than snippets. You can change out songs with pinball browser to extend its enjoyment time. The Premium is awesome, but currently waaay overpriced on the used market. A nice pro would be a great addition. I sold my Premium at the bottom of the market. No big deal. Of the many games I have owned, AC/DC is one of the very few I would own again. It is a glorious Steve Ritchie fast and flowing game. It's, my son, Henry's favorite of all my games that I have owned. He's nine now, but started playing it early.
I'm going to reach out to Kim V. about putting us together. I will only be bringing one and one of the Moncla's will be in the tournament. If my count is right we will have four games.
Dennis and Leon
Mike
Scott
Chris (me)
I will ask for a small space near Pinside or Spooky.
I'm wondering what you all think of Alien? Most of you know that the Moncla's and I are among some of the very few USA owners of Full Throttle. Some of you may have seen us list our games for sale or trade. I've been on the fence about Full T, but have currently decided to wait it out for Alien to develop.
Here's my two cents about it. It's early and has great potential. I was a day one (Jan 2011) order for WOZ and received one of the first games. Those early games had lots of issues, but the later units are spectacular. Vowing not to do that again, I purchased Full T after they were available in a box at the show. Well, it turns out I got number 46 buecause they just hadn't sold that many games. After a year, my fears have been relieved. The game is well built and any issues that I have have been resolved. The company is young and still don't have a good customer service system, but Andrew and his team will email, call or skype you directly to resolve any issues that you have.
I had hoped to buy an Alien kit this year. After seeing the progress, I think the Alien kit would be a safer and more refined purchase next year. I'm certainly looking forward to playing it at the Texas show in a few weeks.
Great first "official" day.
Dialed In is the shit! I love this game.
Aerosmith is fun, but plays Aerosmith music and only one of their two good songs.
Alien looks cool, but have only played one game so far.
Lots of nice games.
I am ready and willing to host a party or tournament. Both could include a crawfish boil if guests were willing to pitch in on costs. If not, you will have to settle for Briskit or Ribs.
My open dates coming soon are April 22-23 and May 6-7.
Current line up:
Full Throttle
Americas Most Haunted
Ghostbuster Premium
Star Trek LE
Dr Who
Big Bang Bar
Banzai Run
Safecracker
Centigrade 37
Nip-it
Mudflaps is a few blocks away and says we are welcome there also!
Schedule update: April 2, 2017
Here is the last one of these I found in the thread. It's a few months old. Last year I had a party in May and a tournament in September. If I'm reading correctly, James and the Moncla's are having tournaments in May. May 13-14 is Mother's Day and 2 birthdays here so I can't host or attend. Following is some too much coffee flight of ideas.
So far, I only have about 4-5 that have replied they can attend on May 6. I'll be glad to have a party instead of tournament and just have an excuse for us to get together. Is there a minimum number for a tournament? If I proceed, I'll need to register soon with IFPA and pick a format. Please fill in / correct this calendar with your dates.
(FYI) May 6-7 is our annual BAFB air show. It's identical shows Sat and Sun, weather permitting. It's a great show.

Depending on how many are interested, I may cancel my event. I'm always happy to open up the game room even for a small crowd, but we need 16 entries for an IFPA tournament. I have the impression several of the local guys aren't very interested.
I think, so far, it's only Mike V, Action 76, Scottslash, Mudflaps, Henry and I.
I would enjoy traveling to play. April 30 I have a cub scout camp out with Henry. I have no conflicts for May 27 as of now.
Update to schedule:
I removed my event in May. Not much interest. I would enjoy attending the LC event. Tiger, is that confirmed?

Quoted from Leakyfaucet:Congrats!
I'm having my 4th child in 8 days!
Thats really fast. Most folks need at least nine months between them.
Congratulations. They get big fast!
I've listed Full Throttle for sale. Alien is nice, but I'm ready to try something new. If it doesn't sell, I'll just wait and see. IMO, Alien is a game that will be ready next year. They need to build some and get feedback before I'm ready to buy one.
Quoted from Arcade:People show up to our tournaments with no tourney experience all the time so don't worry about that. We just have a good time playing and talking.
Plus my dad is going to make another large batch of chicken and sausage gumbo.
Also feel free to bring a cooler with your favorite drinks.
It is really just one big party with pinball as an excuse to do it.
Can't remember if I posted this here already or not but here is our new wall of Sterns.
I'm really sorry to miss this. I have end of the year Cub Scout camp out with Henry. I see you wasted no time getting Aerosmith. I really liked it at the Texas show.
So jealous. Just looked at my calendar. I'm out of town 3 weekends in June. Keeping fingers crossed! Looking forward to it.
Quoted from Jodester:Temporary or permanent? You need to sell me one of those older EMs when you get tired of them.
It was a purchase and you've got first dibs or option for a trade in the future.
Have a great time today friends. I am looking forward to making it your way sometime soon. Cub Scout camp out yesterday and Confirmation today, good stuff with my boys, but miss being able to join you.
Quoted from TigerLaw:So, jodester and I can't get together till this weekend. We will give some confirmed updates for the June tourney scene in LC then though.
Tiger, decide on a date? (cough) May 27 or June 10 (cough)
Quoted from TigerLaw:Alas, I no longer have a place here and brought my GoT to LC.
Busy weekend with Henry. He got a new (first) telescope for 10th B-day and were are cloud (errr Star) watching tonight!
Paintball tomorrow and crawfish boil Sunday. Hopefully some pinball Sunday.
Quoted from Jodester:I can pull out a globe with pins. If I can do a swap with Mudflaps for Kiss, it will be another pin in the globe.
Funny you say that, Mudflaps is a huge GB fan. I was thinking yesterday that might be a good one. When MM comes home, I want to try another trade.
My building is 30' wide. So add the main game room plus the little work room next to it where I had safecracker at the tournament.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Quicksilver will be here on Wednesday, just in time for the tourney. From the pictures this looks like a amazing work from Keith:
It looks great. Keith told me he would start on my EBD about 3 months after TPF. Hopefully soon!
Quoted from spanks_4:Never been to your place so no clue lol... How long is it?
Oops sry. My game room is roughly 20 x 14. 7 pins close together on the side with no door.
Quoted from Mudflaps:Have a good time ladies & gents! Going camping with the family. Will make every effort to make the next one.
Heading to Florida Saturday!
Quoted from Mudflaps:When we got there, someone was in our spot.
Red River Replay was sept 2016. I'd like to have it again this year in September. Mike is willing to come up and be the TD. If possible, I'd like to not conflict with others as we have a relatively small community. Please reply here if you have any interest and if the dates would work for you. Although it would be a tournament, my main interest is pinball folks coming together for a good time. I'll make sure there's food and fun for whomever comes, if they want to enter or just visit and have fun.
Possible dates and conflicts in September 2017
Sept 2 or 3 Labor Day weekend and some may have commitments.
Sept 9 or 10 xx Mike V not available xx
Sept 16 or 17 ?
Sept 23 or 24 xx Nevus out of town xx
Realisticly, that gives us Sept 2-3 or Sept 16-17.
Tiger, these "discuss the date" posts can easily get lost. Can/will you mark them as "key posts" until the dates pass?
I've got a Target Alpha I've been meaning to list for just a tad more. It works 100% and is in good shape. I'm asking $650. Pics coming soon. It's about an 7.5/10.
Quoted from Noahs_Arcade:i'll buy that from you. i've been looking for another good EM
RGR that. Ill get pics up ASAP.
Quoted from Jodester:Now I need to decide what to do with my spare pinball cash. Do I buy an Aerosmith or a Houdini or the infamous Star Wars...hmmm...
I would run away from Houdini for a few years. Perhaps a nice Full Throttle?
Ready for this weekend! Room is booked and Henry will be replacing Mudflaps as my traveling companion.
See you all in Houma.
Can I bring anything to contribute?
I'm pretty sure Red River Replay will be Sept 16, but Mike and I will finalize this weekend.
I put some pics on the gulf coast FB page.
Henry will compete in the Red River Replay and the HAAG tournaments.
2017 Red River Reply is set for Sept 16. Plan on one main tournament and one side tournament.
As before, I'll smoke a briskit or something yummy and have some snacks. Bring anything else particular you may like to drink or eat. Mike V will register the with the IFPA soon and get the details nailed down.
I look forward to seeing those that can join us.
AMH came back home and KISS went back to Mudflaps. I helped him drop his games and scratch his walls. I am a great friend!
Also, I've got the first draft of my light box for Spooky translight I purchased from a Pinsider a while back. Shadow box from Michael's and LEDs from China.
Thanks Mike. I've been passing the word around to some of my North LA friends and acquaintances. I'm hoping to introduce a few new faces to the tournament scene. At the very least, introduce them to more pinball people.
Hey guys and gals. I didn't post this in the other threads as I didn't want to deal with the negative Nellies, but Henry and I played the first Star Wars Premium off the line at Stern today. The same game that was on the Deadflip stream. We only played a few games, but we played with Steve Ritchie. It's really neat seeing the balls shoot around that hyper loop! Overall, I was impressed.
Also, walking around the factory with him and seeing all of the various quality controls was impressive. I know stuff gets missed, but seeing the process from beginning to end is special. Although I only saw the previous facility once, the new factory is amazing. I was truly impressed.
I saw some pretty rude comments in the Star Wars thread. As we played, Steve was talking with the code guy (Dwight?). They plan to increase the speed of the hyperdrive balls. Also, the Death Star has a bunch of super bright LEDs. My best guess is that it malfunctioned on the demo. Maybe no one had gotten that far yet.
Went to DFW to pick up my Lunar Lander monitor from repair. I should have it up and running soon. I stopped by Nickelrama and played Dialed In, Star Wars and Aerosmith. Mudflaps joined me in the adventure. Also, he made me go to Buc-ee's. Where else can you get high fructose corn syrup antelope jerky?
Pimped my Aerosmith last night. The photos aren't great, but the game looks amazing!

A few things left. I purchased the yellow Convolux fluorescent protectors, but they are so thick, I couldn't fit them without replacing some of the #6 machine screws in the PF. I've reached out to Convolux for an easier solution. If you haven't seen them, they look amazing! Here is an example thread.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/a-day-with-my-nib-aerosmith
Quoted from Spg101:So did someone pick up that Ship Ahoy in Laporte this weekend? Had my eye on it but the wife is giving me so much crap about what I have I'm not sure if a pin or a divorce would be cheaper... wait. $400 to cost me 1/2 of everything and all the tail.. I know which is cheaper
I just looked at your wishlist. Pass on the Ship Ahoy and go for the Safecracker! It's smaller and takes up less space.
Quoted from Jodester:Well, they are yellow-ish Chris.
Orange isn't great for that game, but I may try blue.
The white Titans are great. I also love the look with the mirror blades.

Charlie Robinson, the local operator here is looking to buy older games for his routes.
He frequently asks me if I know of any pinballs for sale. If you have a game and are having trouble selling it, he's your guy. Words like clear coating, powder coating and mint have no meaning to him. He likes older and simpler games. He's really nice and pays cash.

I'm going with Henry and Grant. Henry and I plan to enter tournaments. He's will do Kid's and not sure on others. He really likes run around, play and buy toys! I will enter several of them just to avoid the drunk microphone yelling next door.
Hope you can me it MLV and Josh.
VIP is a good deal. Pre-pay weekend is $30 and t-shirt is $22. I need 3 passes.
With VIP I get 2 passes and 1 shirt for $75, plus lounge access (but I forgot about it last year). Then I just get one more pre-pay for $30.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Where is the lounge? Do they have any machines there?
I don't know either,
Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Annual Intl Toilet Cloggers Convention?
let me guess, you're a past president.
Close. He was Man of the year 87, 89, 90, and 11. He's getting a lifetime achievement award.
I had a major change of opinion about Star Wars this weekend. I put in about 15-20 games and really enjoyed playing it. I’m wondering how you all felt about it. This is a game I may interested in owning at some point. More play time is definitely required.
Also, I go this little gem from Rob Anthony at the show.
I am willing to host if a location is needed, but understand most players are from the southern half of LA.
Quoted from Arcade:Ready to have Gumbo and plenty of fun tomorrow.
Hav a great time today. Really sorry I have to miss.
Quoted from Mudflaps:Drop targets and swinging bell in ACDC!
That looks fantastic. Best Pro ever!
Stern should take a picture and sell this as the AC/DC Pro-mium vault edition.
Played a little this morning. Thinking of selling something to make some room.
Nip-it plus one more. Just not sure what.
Quoted from TigerLaw:pulled some leaky batteries on TAF (that we had just changed out about six months ago, glad those are off the boards)
Pull that board an bring it to TPF. Rob will install anyNvram with purchase at a show.
Anyone here interested in my Nip-it?
I have $1700 in it, but am willing to let it go for a substantial reduction to my regional pinball pals. No offer will offend me.
Weather permitting, I can bring it to Lake Charles on 12/2. My backup plan would be to sell it at TPF in the Spring.
Quoted from Spg101:Happy thanksgiving! I just went out and bought some pecan wood to smoke the pork butts with so we'll be ready for the 2nd. I'm planning on bringing some rolls from Costco and smoked pulled pork but need some assistance with sides. Any takers?
Thank you for that. I’m looking forward to your BBQ. I’m not known for my sides. My family get together are pot luck style and I always do the main dish. I’ll be happy to bring some type of store made option, drinks or even just pitch in to help with costs.
Good day today!
My first Pinball game was Safecracker and I got a token right away.
After that, I finally put my Lunar Lander back together after the guts had been away for repair by Pat Danis in DFW.

Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Bringing whatever drinks you want is suggested, and bringing a pot-luck side dish is of course welcomed.
The $15 entry fee per person for the upcoming Romp in the Swamp IV pinball party and tournament is to cover costs for:
entry into tournaments, trophies, and the main meat dish.
Mrs. Nevus just committed to her pasta salad.
I’ll bring that and some drinks. I hope that’s enough to make up for me accidentally inviting Mudflaps.
Will the local GOTG owner be at the tournament? Any chance we can go over and play a few games on it?
It looks like Henry has made the Top 16 by a hair. I assume the results aren’t final until Jan 1, 2018. It would be neat if he were able to compete. I would enjoy coming to the tournament and seeing everyone.
Quoted from Spg101:When is the next tournament? I'm still pumped and want to see if I can get the family to help make sausage.. It's not as easy as it sounds.. apparently endured servitude is no longer "a thing".. The sausage is very labor intensive.
Have Pinball and ready to host any time you Gulf Coasters are up to travel.
Seriously though, I’ll continue to have RRR in September but will probably add a Spring tournament, even if it’s low attendance. We need some more opportunities for North LA area types to compete closer to home anyway.
Maybe after Mardi Gras (2/13) in Feb 2018. Ill look into it.
TPF is in March and Romp will be in April.
A few small updates for the Yankees of this club, I’m hoping to kickstart a little competitive Pinball in the North LA / ArkLaTex area in 2018.
A new thread and accompanying Facebook page will be started “ArkLaTex Pinball League”
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/arklatex-pinball-league#post-4128201
Quoted from TigerLaw:I didn’t take a close look everlier, but holy smokes that is a nice looking game. I really believe each game Keith does he gets better at his craft.
How does it play?
It plays great!
Tourney announcement for me as well.
The Red River Replay 3 will be on Feb 24th 2018 in Shreveport at my home.
It will be an IFPA sanctioned tournament with a public listing of the address.
Details are TBA at this time and I haven’t had a chance to seek out a tournament director. Expect the usual main and small side tournament format. As I will be starting a league this year and using the online software Matchplay, I would like to incorporate it into the tournament.
https://matchplay.events/app as recommended by many in our community.
Complete and total Armageddon here in North LA.
Schools closed
Air Force closed (Yes the United States Air Force is closed).
Interstate 20 is closed.
According to Henry “It’s enough snow to make a pretty good footprint”. My wife was back and forth to the hospital several times in the night and says “The roads are fine, uggghhh!”
It’s a great day for Pinball!
A great day of Pinball for sure. Congratulations to Preston Moncla, simply awesome playing. Congratulations to Jody as well on the Smaug trophy.
A few personal highlights for me.
Spending the day with a group of people I now consider good friends and have warm regards for that I would never have known without Pinball and this Pinside community.
Seeing my youngest son play well and sharing those moments with him. (His anger is like Star Wars. Imagine his mother is Anakin Skywalker. )
After a long day of being soundly beaten by the best the LA IFPA has to offer, putting up a GC on The Walking Dead. It was no record breaker, but it sure made me feel like a king for just a few minutes.
Here are a few pics. My favorite is Henry trying to will the Precious into his hands. He’s got serious Preston envy!

Quoted from Pinball-is-great:Remember seeing this on ABC Wide World of Sports when they would say: the agony of defeat.
I’m pretty sure that guy died.
Quoted from Nevus:I’m pretty sure that guy died.
Nope. Corrected. Turns out he’s an artist now.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Congrats! So, what were the clues?
The black legs and the “Tournament Play” sign/topper that was visible, but backwards.
Have fun. Family coming over here and I’m making a brisket.
Trying to move some games.
GB Prem, Safe Cracker and BBB, Nip-it and Pinbot are on the block. I promised to give JAH dibs on Pinbot first.
I’m hoping to sell or trade for
TWD Prem or nice Pro
TNA
DI Standard or LE
BM 66 Prem
Games must go out before others come in. Please let me know if you have any leads or interest.
Looking forward to 2/24 Red River Replay 3
Josh is making Trophies.
Quoted from TigerLaw:So, PavBall and I have decided we are wanting to mix up the game room and (in the relative near to medium term) part with the following games:
IM, Sorcerer, GOT LE, RFM. Would also consider moving XMen LE or Metallica Premium...
Quoted from TigerLaw:Games we are interested in... BSD, Tron, TSPP, Fathom, Centaur, Dialed In, BM66, Aerosmith, Star Gazer, Seawitch.
Seriously though, always fun to mix it up.
Quoted from TigerLaw:Will list my Game of Thrones LE Refinery Edition next week sometime.
There was a super nice restored Genie with a clear coated play field and all new boards for sale on Pinside earlier today for $1,800, I’m bummed I missed it.
You know your really getting into the hobby deeper when you sell a super blinged modern Stern LE so you can grab and 80s solid state.
Vive La Flipper!!!
Thanks everyone for coming. A super fun day. One whole brisket devoured. Two IFPA tournaments RRR3 and The Agony of Defeat Pin Golf. Players from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Wyoming. Pinbot leaves to live with James and Asteroid Annie leaves LA to try out the Rocky Mountains.
Thanks to Josh for making great trophies and a Mike for being a great tournament director.
For the non Facebook folks, here are some more pics.

Good work Preston!
Here are the brackets with results.

Quoted from Pinball-is-great:I've got a burner/stand/pot/basket/fuel bottle set-up for boiling crawfish that I can bring on Sat morning Apr 7th.
I can help boil a couple sacks if I am not serving as td.
We just need to figure out who/where is going to buy the 2 sacks of crawfish Fri evening or Sat morning.

Drool!
Nip-it (sold and being delivered for pre-show exchange).
Leaving a vacancy in the Expedition...
Feel like I’m going to Willy Wonka’s store!
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Chris
Have you shown this to Henry?
https://www.ifpapinball.com/nacs/standings.php?l=LA
I did. He was pretty excited.
We will miss the April tourney, but definitely make the Romp/TNA palooza/IFPA tourney
It’s fine. Kim has so much to do, I figured no reason to bother her about it. As long as our small clubs games are together, I’m happy.
