Fully restored 8 Ball Deluxe will be sweet.
Too much work. Looking to sell a few items so I can find my WoZ's companion... would trade a couple of dirt bikes for the right machine
Quoted from TigerLaw:Been quiet in here lately. What's everyone been up to?
Ordered some parts from Pinball Resource this week. Now debating on doing my first cab stencil or not? Game is Gottlieb Aquarius. Nothing special but brought it back from not working to working just have e few more lights to get working properly then repopulate the play field once I get the parts. It should make someone a nice starter pin when I get it done.
Quoted from Arcade:We also just got our Ghostbusters Premium powder coated
Looks fantastic.
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Just picked up this WPT and High roller casino. I got wpt cleaned and running this week and now on to the high roller. It needs a good bit of work but should clean up nice.
Man how do you find all of those games? Or they find you...
Quoted from Arcade:Still making and replacing inserts on our Jacks Open.
blockquote>Looks good. Based off of pics I have seen of your game and seeing it at Dan's. Are you going to repaint the cab? Or go with the patina look?

Man im always on the hunt. but sometimes they fall in my lap.

I know you wont give this up but you sure aren't hunting were everyone else is CL, Ebay and so on. You sure manage to find games the rest of the world doesn't seem to know about. You have some killer hunting grounds... and some nice games to prove it. Must be your operator connection?
Hoping to have ULMPharmD and Mudflaps come by Saturday to play some pinball.
Alien is looking good, so I will likely keep the full throttle for now and play the Alien as TPF. I'm looking to keep costs down and don't plan to buy anything for a while. My current money is going to the EBD restore.
Looking forward to talking with Dennis and Leon about their Full Throttle experience.

That is a great question. We are fine with most cabinets as they are.
The body on this one is really in good shape. It is the wear at the top of the head that bothers me.
Problem is there is probably no way to fix just that part without making the rest of the game look horrible.
So for now it is going to stay as is.

Zuk,
Don't give in. Resist. Throw him off-track. Feed him some fake news.

LOL But i will always offer them to my friends and collectors for a good bargan before i list them for fat profit.
I've been doing some custom work on the Big Bang Bar. Thanks to a few tips from Aaron and some other friends. BBB doesn't have a true GI like most pins and mine has an LED OCD board. I've added a Dual (12v and 5v) power supply for mods by tapping in to the On/Off switch.
So far I have added the PBL bright flipper buttons in green and made a custom light board for my back glass. The colors look really good on my first attempt. I've used an RGB strip and just jump to whatever colors needed to get Red, Green, Blue or combinations. The start button a light green and only fits a standard 555 incandescent. I shaved down a UV 555 LED and got it to fit. It makes a very nice deep blue on the button.
I also had previously changed my rubber rings to Titan clear. This game has such great colors!
Quoted from Nevus:Last one
Lookin great bud...BBB deserves all the love we can give it.
I have been lurking on this forum since I have joined. I was hoping to find some local guys but this group is the closest I could find to Nola. If I lived closer I would certainly be coming to play aswell. Good group of people on here that's for sure.
So I've been collecting my older EM pinball machines and love them but figured I need to brush up on my newer game skills for the TPF later this month. I've been working for a few months in a newer subdivision in beaumont where an arcade has popped up across the road, called BnB Arcade. They have TWD, GB, GoT, Met, and now BM66. I've popped in there with the kids and by myself several times but was curious if anyone else in the Bmt area has played them and if they were set up right? I know TWD can't be, the magnet in the prison yard shoots it straight down the middle with no hope of nudging it to the flippers, others level seems off. Anyway, being used EM's and having not played any new games in the past few years has really showed me I need play newer games more if I'm ever going to play a tournament. We should get together and play soon! Who? You and me.
Funny story for parents, my youngest is almost 2, my wife took the kids to build-a-bear for valentine's day, he wanted a "puppy" He grabbed GB's slimmer and its name is puppy. Last night we went to the arcade and he calls pinball machines, "baaaaaalllll" and he sees the slimmer toy on GB and yells "puppppyyyyyy baaaaaalllll" and thought it was the funniest thing that his toy was in a pinball machine. Maybe had to be there.... but he's my huge pinball fan, and he loves that his puppy is in a machine.
Cool to see the kids playing. I always enjoy when my grandsons nephews and nieces ask if the can play. The answer is yes
Quoted from Leakyfaucet:I know TWD can't be, the magnet in the prison yard shoots it straight down the middle with no hope of nudging it to the flippers, others level seems off.
That is just how the Walking Dead is. Nothing can be done about that.
Also the ball will drain down the middle a lot when exiting the pop bumpers.
All you can do is shake it and hope for the best. lol
It is awesome that they have great pinball tables and I wish them luck.
But we have three great ones at Colorado Canyon and they are on the bottom of the food chain compared to our other games.
Even Ghostbusters as great as it is, will take forever to pay for itself for the $5200 price tag.
I can only imagine trying to pay for a $12,000 or more Batman. They must have deep pockets or a lot of guts putting over $30,000 worth of pins in a gas station strip center.

Are they some kind of tax Jedi, manipulating the losses?
Quoted from Nevus:Are they some kind of tax Jedi, manipulating the losses?
lol.
Maybe a drug front money laundering scheme.
Quoted from Spg101:Are you guys routing games or mostly HUO machines? I think I need an AC/DC next to my WoZ but need to play it. Never seen one before. I can tell you have to play before buying. Some of the heavy hitters are not my favorites...
I have a collection, but I don't operate any machines out on location.
AC/DC is quite a different theme than WOZ. I don't think they would look good next to each other.
I like AC/DC machine pretty much, and if you get one, I know how to solve that little issue.
Get a 3rd machine to put in between them.
Then once you have at least 3 machines, that is enough to throw pinball parties.
Once you get 4 or 5 machines, you can also start hosting small pinball tournaments.
Then when you get 8 to 10 machines you can throw killer parties and host larger tournaments.
Cheers!

Leon, my thoughts exactly. They have well over $300,000 worth of new games. I'm not sure how anyone would take a gamble that big. It's pretty crazy. And then the tilt is coming back soon... seems iffy.
I'm going to make it a point to come see you at C.C. soon.

Most of us have HUO collections.
My brother and I also happen to run an arcade as part of our business.
We have 3 pinballs at work and around 15 or so at home.
Here is our current Stern line up with Aerosmith on the way next week.

Actually, if you hit both flipped buttons simultaneously it will force release the ball from the magnet and will not go straight down the middle.

Ok, I have to work into this slowly. I'm having a hard enough time convincing my wife to let another in the house. The WoZ is "office decoration" Was looking for something fast and furious and heard AC/DC is it. Plus I've seen them in concert 4x. What would you recommend?
TigerLaw thank you for the double flippers tip. It works! I know you knew that it would and I know that I believed you but this trick finally let me get both multiballs in a row and kill more zombies than I ever have before! (Still not a great score but better than the rest of my games on twd)

If you like AC/DC, and you appear to, it's the perfect game! The first Stern with whole songs integrated rather than snippets. You can change out songs with pinball browser to extend its enjoyment time. The Premium is awesome, but currently waaay overpriced on the used market. A nice pro would be a great addition. I sold my Premium at the bottom of the market. No big deal. Of the many games I have owned, AC/DC is one of the very few I would own again. It is a glorious Steve Ritchie fast and flowing game. It's, my son, Henry's favorite of all my games that I have owned. He's nine now, but started playing it early.
Putting this out here this is mine I have it listed on CL for $450 for any pinsider the price would be $325.

Happy for you! Looked like a good deal.
Made it to the Gulf Coast area last week!! Got the pins set up this week. Here's to hoping I can make the trek over at the LA/TX area as that seems to be the hot bead area of activity down here...!

Quoted from Arcade:Nice Collection there NPO .
Thanks for sharing the photos.
Thanks! My collection is small but fair. I am trying to get CFTBL, SS, and TZ down the road. Alien is the one I really have on my radar now. When I compare SS and Alien, it's not even close. Alien decimates both SS and CFTBL. Only TZ is even close to the level of shots, toys, and strategy that Alien looks to be sporting.
Look forward to meeting everyone down the road. I just got here, so I think TPF is out of the question for now. Pinburgh might be in my future though.

I'm not an exhibitor but I am going and hope to meet all of yall in person.

Hopefully they will put Gulf Coast and Ark La Tex together like they did last year.
