Quoted from Jodester:I will be there Chris. I planned to head over there this week to pick up Target Alpha. Due to the weather, doubt that will happen.
Yes, alas, today was my only open day this week.
Looking forward to the Sept 16 tourney!

Still doing ok over here in south-central LA. Bayou Teche is full, but it was flooded worse last Aug in the Flood of Aug 2016.
Problem we are looking at is that the whole area is already soaked and the water levels in the waterways are already pretty high, and we have 6 to 7 more inches of rain forecast over the next 2 to 3 days. Ruh-roh.
Last August the area around Lafayette Parish was flooded for about 3 weeks.
Bayou Teche, 8/29/17, approx. 11 am
If/when the statue (above the base of the statue) starts going under water that translates to homes will be flooding.

Things are the worst ever right now here in Beaumont. High winds and relentless rain. All highways closed in and out of town except I10 East. Never in my life have I witnessed anything like this.
Allen has lost everything. Entire house under water. This is insane.
This was his house 12 hours ago. It is much worse now.
That's a heartbreaker for Allen and family. I'm glad they got out of there in time before it got really bad.
Windy tonight and raining sideways.
Dennis, are you guys OK in Beaumont? Looked like the water was rising earlier in your neighborhood.

So far we are good. But the city overall is flooded. Still coming down hard with 40 mile wind gust at the moment. Just won't stop.
We're headed to a Houston as soon as it's safe to travel. Wife's entire family is in Houston, but we're collecting supplies to bring. Everyone here has been incredibly supportive.

All,
I would like to start a fund raiser for Allen and his family, I have communicated with Nevus and would like to take up donations at his tournament and then get the money to Allen after it. I'm sorry I'm old school and don't have pay pal so this will be cash or check, if check I will have you make it out directly to Allen. I will keep track of who gave what and will Post your pinside name by your donation or if you want to be anonymous we can post it as that to. All of this will be posted hear for all of us to see.
If you cannot make the tournament and would like to donate PM me and I can give you a mailing address or if you know someone going to the tourney and want to make a donation please do so and let them/me know who it is from.
All money's (100%) will go to Allen and his family I will let them buy what they need or use it as they see fit.
I'm going to kick this off @jahpinwizard $100
We will do the same with our Oct 1st tourney.
Allen did indeed lose everything even his pickup truck and Tahoe.
He truly needs all the help we can muster.
Not sure whether I've met Allen, but you can count on me for a donation at Chris's tourney in a couple weeks.
Arcade / KingNine,
Can you check if Allen wants any of these XL t-shirts? I don't think he posts much on Pinside.
They are all in decent condition. Some could be worn when doing yard work, vehicle maintenance, or out fishing, etc.
* 4 pinball shirts (GCPC, green Project Pinball, Pinside, Zombie League Allstars)
* A GnR and a WPT
* 3 hunting/fishing type
* 3 plain / solid colors
I could send them all, and just let him give away the ones he doesn't want.
I won't be offended if he is not interested in any of them.
Most or all are size XL. Could be a size L mixed in there possibly.

I would say yes for sure.
We still have no mail delivery though.
Hopefully that will resume in a few days.
Quoted from Zukboy2002:Selling pinbot for $1,100 if anyone in the club is interested
Ive come to the conclusion that i love pinbot and think im going to keep it lol.
Well. Looks like we did not escape unscathed. First of all all pins are fine.
Yes, even your X-Men Jody.
But turns out water crept under the carpet fairly far. But it never got high enough to see it. The damage is mostly to the large windowed section of the room and some over by the door to the back yard. We have moved every pin that had damp feet into the den and started the process of ripping out the soaked padding.
Now have to wait on insurance adjuster.
No telling how long.
We will know in a week or two if our Oct. 1st tourney will need to be moved.
Still planning on it but we shall see.
Thanks @zukboy2002. Pinball-is-great you recognize this.

Quoted from Nevus:Red River Replay is one week away!
See you all next Saturday.

Wish we could make it.
But to much clean up here in Beaumont to get away.
We will most likely be postponing out Oct 1st tourney as well.
Our gameroom is torn up and the first of two adjusters is not even going to make it to us until Sept. 13th.
I assumed you guys would have your hands full. I hope you get good news on your claim. Are you going to HAAG?
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Check this out.
I'm confident there are some e-m Pinsiders that will be able to help with tech repair/restore info on this.
Is that white over-spray paint on the front of the bg? If so, then perhaps the artwork on the bg is still in good condition.
May just need to get the over-spray paint removed. ??
Hopefully you will not need to locate/buy any unobtanium type parts.
Should be an interesting project. Might be fun to play during pinball parties in your gameroom.
I'll see you guys there. I'm flying out tomorrow to D.C. but will be back late Friday. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
I'll be at RRR tournament. Just a reminder I want to raise some money for Allen and his family and get to them any thing I'm sure will go along way. Thanks

I bought it based of of those pics, I won't be able to actually see it until I can pick it up on Monday. But yes I think and hope that is something I can just clean off of the backglass. Yep I think it will be fun if I can get it up and going. I'll tell you some more about Saturday at the tournament.
Quoted from TigerLaw:We are getting close to the Shreveport tourney!!! Who all is in?
I'll be there!
I'm bringing some red beans & rice w/ sausage. Will just need to heat it up in microwave.
Also bringing some refreshments and snacks.
Tried to make the two tournaments provide opportunities for players to actually have a chance to finish well even if you mess up on a game or two.
Pin-golf will be 9 holes, with the 4 best (lowest) score totals making it to a play-offs round, then top two from there go to the finals.
The main tourney will be double elimination format, so if you lose a best of 5 game match-up, you can still work your way up through the loser's side of the bracket for a chance to win or finish near the top.
You can read more details of Red River Replay on the entry listed on Pinside Events section.
Here are a few pictures from today. More to come from the other members.

Awesome hosts....Henry and Chris...
PavBall, Jodester and I have been chatting about a year end tourney. We are thinking about Romp in the Swamp IV on either December 2 (Saturday) or 3 (Sunday).
What are everyone's initial thoughts?
