I played it several times at the show. Still has some software bugs in it, but a lot of it is there. Many shot layouts. Theater door trap is nice edition. I enjoyed it overall. Liked it better than I thought I would. Looks fantastic to boot. I did like the milk can on the left, works as a catapult and launches the ball halfway across the field into that box that opens up in the back left corner. Made it every time, without fail.

Only thing I would add is:

Game keeps the ball a long time to tell you things. Double flipper hurry up (cancel out)would help that
Wish the Planchette window was little bigger and they put a LCD behind it that would animate or give hints for things to do.

Other than that, I thought the rest was great.

Quoted from luvthatapex2:

If I recall talking to Josh, all inserts are RGB and GI is white.

as it should be. GI's should always be white. If color is used should only be used for a mode or specific purpose then go back to white.

maybe they should use the logo, but change the color scheme to the copper, black, silver colors used on the game. would blend in a bit and go with the theme and look of the game.

destroying the ring is not the ending. It's kind of a half way point, so those of us that are not A players, could feel like we accomplished something. but you are still a far ways away from the real ending of the game.

Quoted from pbwizard14:

I guess that is why I was able to part with it, I didn't understand the game although I liked the movies and I like the theme. It is the only Stern game that has appealed to me and I could have kept it, but I knew other games will come along that I would like better. I hope Houdini will be a keeper too. I have to really want a game I see and this machine fits the bill. The more I learn about Houdini and the company, the more I feel this is a game I want to own and play.

sometimes it helps to play games like this with people that understand it and can explain it. I've had that happen before. Like baby pacman. Used to hate it, until someone went through while I was playing and explained all the aspects of it. Then I was hooked.

I played JJPs and I played this at expo. I couldn't tell you much about any of the animations on either one, as I can't look at the screen when i'm playing, and I was watching the field when others were playing more than the display.
