Yup my bad - thought he was talking about the jetpack Bond

Quoted from flynnibus:You can tell from the design and videos it is s powered device. Its job is to bang the ball into yhe stationary targets around it.
It is not just tie fighter on spring
That’s what I was thinking all along but if you slow the video down makes you think twice as there is a good bit of wobble even when no ball in that area.
Probably not coded for full effect yet but just wondering what is on bottom side. I’m thinking along the lines of castle in MM but not as intense.
Quoted from Ballderdash:Why not use the Telekinesis grab design from ST? Baby Yoda could snag the ball as it passes by.
Yeah cause that was a brilliant feature that didn’t give any owners any problems!
Quoted from MaxIsDead:This game has got Bond on a wand like it’s slapping me across the face as he blasts to the boom droppers! I’m eating franks like yesterdays space rocket from japan as it wobbles and bobbles! Spring in the codes to make this game bring the sausage gravey baby and my hands will have calluses like yesteryear from the flipper triggers. Yoooooooo
Ok, just what is in your pipe, man? I mean I haven’t seen someone this trippy since the 70’s…
Quoted from Ollulanus:Change my mind: No baby Yoda ball magnet hand was the biggest missed opportunity/design miss of the last several years.
What Mando missed in theme integration with Baby Yoda, it gained in the most random theme integration gimmick ever - playing pinball on a Mandolorian helmet! It’s like Eddie looked at the Yoda magnet idea and said …. “Nah, too obvious. What’s something they won’t be expecting?”
Have to admit, wasn’t expecting Bond On A Wand or the Jiggling Rocket Dildo either, but nothing is as random as Mando Helmet.
So odd that the game never says James Bond anywhere except the B-O-N-D inlanes and outlanes. Strange license issue -- but it says 007 everywhere.
Quoted from Dan1733:So odd that the game never says James Bond anywhere except the B-O-N-D inlanes and outlanes. Strange license issue -- but it says 007 everywhere.
Pro and Premium have it on the apron, but that's about it.

Yeah, I was thinking it's like Herman in Munsters. A coil poking it from below to make it wobble.

My guess is the licensors are focusing the brand on 007 instead of being specific to James Bond moving forwards because of No Time To Die.

I don't know about that. I think I read somewhere that "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN"
Quoted from fosaisu:I don't know about that. I think I read somewhere that "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN"
Every game needs to end with this.
Do we know what bond on a wand does? Is it just a lame ball drop?
I am very close to just cancelling Bond. The hype desintegrated.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:Do we know what bond on a wand does? Is it just a lame ball drop?
Whatever the lamest thing you can imagine in your head - that’s what the wand will do.
You should cancel your order immediately.

I think it picks up the ball with a magnet and drops it over a switch which starts a 2 ball multiball.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:Do we know what bond on a wand does? Is it just a lame ball drop?
From the Feature Matrix (Prem/LE): "Custom sculpted fully decorated James Bond figure with Jetpack; magnetically grabs pinballs and transports them to start multiball and enhance scoring opportunities. At times controlled by the game software and at times controlled directly by the player."

In the Stern Gomez interview George said jetpack Bond “will eventually be user controlled.” It sounds like it could be fun but we don’t really know yet. We should have a lot more answers on the 18th when George and team finally stream this game.

It’s a ball drop:
I thought it was higher than what it looks in that video.

We should complain so they raise it, then the playfield dimples people will blow a gasket when they miss shots from 8” above the playfield. It'll be like orbiter one in the upper 3rd!

I’m pretty George Gomez said if you put a premium or le in your study, the wand will extend out of the cab and do your taxes for you.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Not as bad as when Transformers came out with 0 transforming toys. That was a major face slap to the fans of the theme.
If it was proven that operators wanted nothing to do with features such as a single moving glove in JM, what makes you think something like "transforming toys" would be a good idea? I could only imagine the maintenance nightmare operators would've had to endure if such a thing had been done. That would have been the real slap to the face. Another bad idea avoided by Stern.
Quoted from KingVidiot:I’m pretty George Gomez said if you put a premium or le in your study, the wand will extend out of the cab and do your taxes for you.
Lol
Gets audited…
Quoted from kool1:I hope it's more exciting than it looks. I like it but not for $2700 over a Pro.
The bobble head deadpool toy looks about as exciting as watching paint dry, but most hobbiests love deadpool still. The rocket toy is typical Gomez kinetics... it will be cool.

Finally some good advice from Levi
Quoted from Spiderpin:Watched Dr. No tonight on Amazon Prime. 1 Bond, James Bond movie down 25 to go.
I’m just a little bit ahead of you! Just finished Goldfinger and started Thunderball. Goldfinger is so good. 21 left!
Quoted from Psw757:That’s what I was thinking all along but if you slow the video down makes you think twice as there is a good bit of wobble even when no ball in that area.
because it's powered and not just moving because the ball hit it. It's animated for effects.
Quoted from docquest:I'd say Elvira House of Horrors is Sterns most mech heavy game.
Her 3D sculpted house has 4 entrances for the ball: back door via diverter, side garage behind brop taget, cellar when moving front ramp is up, front door when moving front ramp is down.
Her house also has has a 4 position rotating turret on top of it.
House has user selectable lit windows to select which movie plays next.
The crypt has 3 rotating fronts: crypt door closed, crypt door open, crypt skull to bash.
Crypt VUK shots ball across playfield via user controlled action button.
Trunk has lid that is part of ramp when closed but then lifts open to lock a ball and also a kickout on it to eject ball.
Four interactive Gargoyles that jump up to hit bottom of glass when hit by ball.
Plus the regular mechs on most games: 3 bumpers, spinner, 2 sets of 3 standup banks, action button.
If you get the topper, it's one of the few that physically moves (crypt opens and closes) compared to most which are just lights.
What other modern Stern game has 5 physical ball locks scattered across the playfield?
If like interactive mechanical toys nothing beats EHOH.
Yea my homie has an EHOH with topper and it’s meched out. That and Gb Prem are stern mech beasts. GZ solid too.
Quoted from kklank:I’m just a little bit ahead of you! Just finished Goldfinger and started Thunderball. Goldfinger is so good. 21 left!
Here a bit further, just finished Diamonds are Forever, the last official Sean Connery . I did have some delay because I needed three times to get through the Lazenby disaster... Live and Let Die tonight.
Paragon Porn for the day One of the most beautiful PF's ever done...thanks Paul Faris!
Back in February 2015, put my name on the CPR pre-order list for a Paragon reproduction they were planning. Received this in August 2020. Definitely worth the wait...CPR took their time and got it right. The colors are accurate & the clearcoat is perfect. For now, it's just wall art in my office.
Quoted from flynnibus:because it's powered and not just moving because the ball hit it. It's animated for effects.
So your saying it’s animated at all times and not when in that mode or Multiball sequence?
I think at best it animated during launch of MB and wiggles and jiggles do to kinetic energy and nudging at other times.
Coffee with cream baby! This game brings it all up inside ya with the horse feathers bristling by as the foxtrot simplifies the exuberance. Gotta waits for the code to blast by us in the streams but yeah man this one is ready and waiting.

Do you come up with these on the fly or do you walk around all day making up new ways to say how excited you are in your head? I'd like to think the latter...

Haha I have Lazenby next…and am stalling. And I forgot how good Thunderball is.

Are the bond movies back on amazon prime? I was watching them, got to the end of thunderball, and then they all turned to rental only.
Quoted from Haymaker:Are the bond movies back on amazon prime? I was watching them, got to the end of thunderball, and then they all turned to rental only.
They still all show up as free for me. That is definitely odd.
Quoted from Haymaker:Are the bond movies back on amazon prime? I was watching them, got to the end of thunderball, and then they all turned to rental only.
I just got an email from Amazon yesterday announcing all the movies were available free on Prime. I started watching them last week and had to rent each of them.
Do they still run bond films 24 hours a day on TBS?
(Well….commercials with brief bits of bond movies interspersed…)
Has anybody ever watched every bond movie in order in one sitting?
Would
Make those “we watched all the Star Wars movies in a row!” Guys look like
Pikers !!!

Lol. Yeah that’s a tall ask. That’s about 50 hours or approximately 2 days straight with no breaks.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Do they still run bond films 24 hours a day on TBS?
Didn't they used to do that around Thanksgiving, which also corresponded to the traditional movie release date.
Don't remember seeing it lately, but I'm not on traditional cable channels much anymore.
Quoted from kklank:Lol. Yeah that’s a tall ask. That’s about 50 hours or approximately 2 days straight with no breaks.
Well, there goes my weekend...
As the water runs through the river this game runs through my head. The flowy of the shots. The wetness of the palms as my callused hand endlessly press the magic plastic to zing the steel. The erect firmness of the rocket eagerly awaiting my balls. Then there is Bond, standing erect and firmly attached to his rockets of glory just waiting to grab my balls! As the water runs through the river, this game brings it all!
Quoted from slag:I just got an email from Amazon yesterday announcing all the movies were available free on Prime. I started watching them last week and had to rent each of them.
Nice! I started watching in August, but then Sept. rolled around and they went away. Must be back again for October. Streaming is an odd beast. Anyway, I'm happy I can get back to where I left off. So far, Goldfinger was by far my favorite. Thunderball maybe my least favorite...I know thats a hot take. Dr. No is probably worse than Thunderball was, but Dr. No gets cut more slack because it was the first one.
Thunderball certainly has its moments but I always found the underwater stuff clunky and the finale isn’t great. Lots of classic bond moments but I’d probably put it just above diamonds are forever as far as Connery bond movies I’d want to watch.

I've seen them all countless times, and anytime I think of Thunderball I always think of the horrible special effects at the end. I know it was the 60s, but woof was that bad.

Watching old movies IS pretty rough, fight scenes are pretty much like watching the WWE.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Has anybody ever watched every bond movie in order in one sitting?
Back in April I watched all 25 movies within one month (I didn't have Never Say Never Again on Blu-ray or DVD). It turns out that I had never seen Diamonds are Forever, and I also don't think I had seen License to Kill before. The rest was good to rewatch since I didn't remember the details on a lot of them. I also realized that the 5 Daniel Craig movies were basically one continuous story which you might not pick up on when you watch them years apart.
