Quoted from ZMeny:

Can’t wait to get mine! I’m in and can’t wait to talk about it more in the owners thread here.
We are taking a list of those interested, call or message us if you don’t have a distributor. We’d love to help ya out.
Also, Flip N Out Pinball will be at MGC this weekend so come by and let’s talk JJP5!
Exciting Announcement: We are doing one hell of a giveaway for the launch of this game, for those attending, as well as one lucky Flip N Out follower that can’t attend the show. So make sure to follow and like us on Facebook so that you have a chance of receiving one of the FIVE GOLDEN TICKETS!!!

Shit. I don't have facepage. Can I just follow you in person?

Shared in the MGC thread. Mmmmmm[quoted image]

That settles it. It's Toy Story.

Quoted from PoMC:

I'm not a big Facebook user. I can like the page, but what do you mean share it? Who would I share it with? Does that mean share it among my meager group of 140 friends? I don't want to spam anyone with something I know they aren't interested in.

I'm not on Facebook either. I think he means just print out the page and share it with a few folks.

Lot of game for $7500. Not sure where the CE justifies an additional $5k.

#279 5 years ago

C'mon Allentown!!!

I have a deposit on a CE, but strongly leaning towards changing it to an LE..if I like the game after playing it.
The mirrored backglass on the CE is pretty cool compared to the others.

Quoted from Capn12:

I'm about 90% sure I'm about to return my Golden Ticket for now. I had built up the hype in my head, and initially reserved a CE. Downgraded it to an LE after some game play videos, and now I"m content to let my deposit ride until 'G n F'n R' drops.
With that being said, I can definitely see myself buying one later on, once the NIB shine wears off for someone.

I did the exact same, except I picked/picking up a Deadpool LE and ACNC instead.

#510 4 years ago
Quoted from Habermania:

I sold my Deadpool PRo to fund Wonka. Excellent game and would be a keeper if I had infinite room/funds. Daughter found DP scary (she's 4 so it's reasonable). Candy is more friendly. Can't wait for my standard Wonka.

If I had the funds....I'd have them all.
That's cool that your daughter plays. I'm sure she'll love some Wonka.

Nice! Can't wait to hear some home use reviews. Hope it rocks your socks off.

It's your glaucoma you old coot.

Do the playfield magnets fling the balls around a lot?

Quoted from dirtbag66:

I never said I was calling JJP out for anything Wonka related. They've had their missteps (WoZ lighting issues, Hobbit delay, removing the triple spinning disc on Pirates and subsequently pulling the plug on production, removing the Monkey mech on WoZ and charging MORE for it, etc). It's when I call out companies like Stern or (*gasp* Spooky!) when the mob mentality kicks in and I'm labeled a "troll".

Actually, going to the single spinning disc was an improvement.

Has anyone explained why Kaneda got kicked out of the live stream last night?

I think I can sum it up with DILLIGAF.

Damn the best game in 2019 just pushed itself further ahead.

Why? What did ACNC do?

#3037 4 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Very different games.
POTC is longer ball times, more forgiving, more multiballs and wizards.
Wonka is more aggressive and will require more active defense to keep the ball alive.
Tough call for me - I own both - but if I had to choose one it would probably be POTC.

POTC and DI are my two tops in my collection. I've played my friends Wonka and started to like it also. I'm thinking I need to change my lineup a bit and eventually make a row of every JJP.

Haha. We have a lot of the same titles.

What is the insert under the Gobstopper hole that looks like a hat?

Went down for a quick game this morning while I had my coffee and this happened...

Quoted from Adipocere:

Nice score! Curious: did you manage to get 2 or more Golden Tickets on that run?

I have no idea. lol.

Having trough opto issues now. Too many balls being put into play. Put in a ticket with JJP.

#5880 3 years ago

Got my new trough boards in and I'm back to collecting chocolate bars.

Quoted from hanford29:

I got my LE a couple of weeks ago. I've been loving it. Yesterday I started getting a trough error. It says all optos and switches are good, check connectors. I've reset those. But I keep getting random balls shot out during game play. Any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

Just went through the same issue. Called JJP and they got a replacement set of opto boards right out to me.

Just made it to Wonka's office for 1st time. Cool mode...too bad I failed miserably on it.

Quoted from marioparty34:

Wow! Is there a magnet adjustment setting? Mine barely changes the trajectory and it definitely has never been strong enough to throw it back up the pf.

Was going to ask the same thing. I know you can on DI not sure about Wonka.

#6875 3 years ago

I just hit flashing lights and hopefully earn GTs.
I have made it to Wonka's Office two times. Guess it was dumb luck.

#6927 3 years ago

Game lighting is just fine with me in any mode.

#6975 3 years ago

Should the kickback always fire the ball all the way up and around past the upper flipper?

#6989 3 years ago

Anyone make a mod that covers this silver part?

I have DI and Wonka. Both great games which are high up on the keep list. I think I may lean towards DI slightly. Get them both.

#7084 3 years ago
Quoted from zaphX:

Hey thanks a lot! I'm glad it helped. The game rules have a learning curve but once you understand them, the game is super addictive and has extreme longevity.
I've been thinking of doing a followup deep-dive into Kid Multiball, as managing this is the key to the whole game. When you're in a kid multiball it is important to collect each kid's jackpot at least once, and whenever super is lit collect it. Super blocks collecting other kids when lit.
The more kids you have qualified when you get in, the bigger risk you're taking...you will need to get all 5 kids, AND the super, AND the double (camera ramp) to get the ticket. If you miss a kid you will need to re-qualify them. If that kid is Charlie or Veruca (both of which require blue factory modes to qualify) it could be quite a while before you get another shot.

Don't think I'll ever grasp the code that well. I just start modes and hit flashy lights. I did manage to reach Wonka's office a few times, though.

Quoted from 27dnast:

Anyone have DI and WWCH sitting next to eachother? Do they feel a little samesy?
I once had Ripleys and TAF - they were too similar. Wonder if DI and Wonka have that same Lawlor feel, or if they stand solidly alone?

Eye gots boof. You are welcome to come over and play them.

#8490 3 years ago

^DI is my favorite JJP. It's just fun and gets the blood pumping when you reach the wiz modes. I love the difficulty of the SIM shot. It makes it so much rewarding when you hit it. IMO, it would hurt the game if that were an easy shot.

I had a Pirates. Loved it for a few months then I stopped caring if I completed any of the character modes.

Wonka is good, but hasn't clicked to "love it" for me.

#8498 3 years ago
Quoted from PinballHaven:

I’ve yet to find a POTC that was set up well and everything worked properly.......the mechs look fun but if they don’t work what’s the point? Definitely the bottom of my personal JJP list but I also would never pay 2x or more for any title over the retail, that’s just nonsense.

Huh. Mine pretty much worked flawlessly from day 1.

#8506 3 years ago
Quoted from NightTrain:

I couldn’t agree with this more. I could deal with the theme. But I could not deal with this. I got rid of this game because of the SIM shot alone. Absolute luck to hit that shot, and it’s SOOOO important. Such a shame.

Funny. That's the reason I love it.
