Me personally I'm not feeling the game I love theme but the sounds, music, and clips don't feel like Wonka to me.
Here's the archive of the standard running 1.07 code on a production model. Sorry for the light glare over the wonkavision. it was light escaping the backglass.

Thoughts -
Willy Wonka Standard - Day 1 running 1.07 code.
Flow for shots to the ramps is silky smooth, while upper playfield flippers will take some getting used to, but lead to some of the most rewarding shots on games. Most notably is the left upper flipper shot into the upper right spinner.
Light show, callouts and modes/shots are very diverse and numerous. I heard 6 to 8 different callouts when starting a ball, a bunch of of and parents lines that led to some chuckles and smiles.
The best thing about the game is the way it shoots, then the way it presents itself during play, and I would at its weakness might only be it’s narrative. You sometimes are not aware of a multiplier or hurry up that is active cuz there is so much going on.
All and all happy and struggled to stop playing. I generally don’t play anything for more than an hour or so, and put 4+ hours on the game yesterday.
10/10 from me and everything I was hoping for in the game + more.
My favorite mode right now is Oompa Loompa Mania. Amazing light show and is the Oompa Loompa song playing. Lights are all red and green. So neat!

A couple takeaways:
Artwork has a shine on the cabinet that is beautiful. Playfield light shows are impressive and there are a ton of callouts.
Wonkavator locks are digital, as promised, and carry over across games. There is a display telling you where the status of the locks are at. Love that and feels good to have that there on the standard. No noticeable imperfections from the build quality and no adjustments needed to play.
Flow is awesome on the ramps and the upper flippers shots feel so rewarding. Left flipper leads to one of the most rewarding spinner shots I've ever had.
I expect there will be a lot of love for this one.
Wonkavator locks carry over? I read somewhere else (prior to release) they did not do this in the SE. Great news! Thanks for posting the stream, also.
Love the design. Beautiful topper!
Quoted from Habeboo:Just wanted to post a video and a couple of pics of the fun custom we built. I was contacted by a client who has become a good friend of mine about making him a Willy Wonka topper. He specifically wanted to concentrate on the pinwheel design. So I came up with a negative cut rear pinwheel and used color changing lights to keep that festive feel. I also decided to frame it to match the scheme of the machine and hopefully make It blend well. I really wanted avoid the obvious “mountain of candy”stuck all over and instead went with the cleaner look to emphasize the unique pinwheel background.

But Zach, I’m going to St Louie
Quoted from Thegeekyhusband:Anyone getting the mods, if so, I’d love to see the wonkavator installed on a Standard.
I got the factory mod, looks sensational! Mod Couple did an amazing job!

Very nice.
I just got the email today that my Wonka is shipping, and I could possibly see it as soon as next week (depending on the holiday)
Shout out to Chris at King Pin Games!
My Wonka SE lands Tuesday, thanks Gary of Abel Electronics who has been good to me many times over!

Ooh, nice!!! Yeah, I agree. Better to buy now than wait. I think you'll dig the SE. Looking forward to your streams!
got my game. wonka vision not working, hdmi plug is behind wonka vision, but there is no visible port to plug it in. anyone with a game that can tell me where it plugs in?

I’m impatient and dumb with money
Actually it’s really not that dumb. I am confident I can get a reasonable return when I upgrade. I’m adding a shaker to it also.

Same here. I’m pretty excited to get this on Tuesday as well from Gary of Abel electronics great guy to deal with keeps you in the loop enjoy having nice conversation with him. I personally think people are forgetting Wonka cost 1k less than normal jjp pins which obviously means they have to cut back on some toys/mechanics but still made a solid shooter
People still want to have all the bells and whistles as if they are paying the equivalent of DI/POTC.
Jjp clearly said they’re trying to make Wonka OP friendly to get New people playing pinball and more affordable as so more people can afford and enjoy jjp pins.
Quoted from SaintJB:My first NIB purchase, and I couldn't be happier! Only one issue I've had so far. Out of the box, I had to increase the power of the first of the two solenoids that return the locked ball to the shooter lane. Everything else has been pitch perfect.
Great to hear! I'll be waiting a few more weeks as I ordered an LE. Thanks again for the update.

The left, forget if it's green or yellow, needs boosting.
Hopefully owners Will have a better experience than the one on location I tried to play tonight.
After playing only one totally failed game with multiple balls launching at once I got this on screen error.
Disappointing evening.
Afterthought: I noticed the Bubble level was at the top. Could it be a level issue at the installation?

It’s probably something simple like a loose cable for an opto.
CAUTIONARY TIP:
When you remove the packing foam from behind the Wonkavision display, be very careful of the power cord and the HDMI cable. If you can unplug them first, do so.

Maybe you'll end up just keeping it....?
Either way, I hope you and your wife dig it! I look forward to your thoughts, and want to see detailed unboxing photos, or whatever you'd like to share! (Lives vicariously through other pinball masters!)
The more I watch of streams from folks that already have their SEs, the more frustrated I get.
If you go watch any videos of the Wonka Slot Machine, you'll see audio matched with video, songs with video, etc. So basically, it seems to have come down to JJP not wanting to pay what other licensing was needed, for those features to be in the pin.
Instead, we get video from the movie, e.g. Veruca running around the eggs singing 'I want it now', but no audio at all, or some other random speech that has nothing to do with Veruca.
Really...I don't understand. Licensing isn't the place to go cheap, get it right, and the games will sell themselves easily.

Do you realize what a modern slot machine costs compared to a pinball machine? It would make your head spin.. but the casinos don't care because it's guaranteed to make money, and a lot of it.
I realize that if you're going to ask for 10 to 13 THOUSAND dollars for a machine, you shouldn't shortcut the feature set, period. If it were an issue of some license features being not available whatsoever, it would be a different story.
I'm sure Wonka will sell plenty, probably not the 5 THOUSAND LEs they claim to be making, but folks will still buy it either way. Different players want different things in their pins, and that is ok.

Ayci Gogi Los Angeles willy wonka launch tourney. See you there!
I won’t spam the club thread, but will post one time our first set of mods, rgb trough and backboard. I posted in the wonka mod thread, where I’ll post more pics later when I get back on WiFi. Wonkavision is out of the game, long story.
I thought it was an interesting question about the cost of slot machines.
Here is an answer I found from last year.
——-
Although casinos often lease machines directly from the manufacturers, according to one estimate each new machine retails for $14,000 to $25,000. Take away the distributor's margin, any royalties and the maker's profit, and the real cost of the equipment is probably in the vicinity of $5,000 to $10,000.
Keep in mind that casinos are raking in millions, and the game manufacturers know it, so they’re capable of charging more for the equipment, regardless of whether licensing fees for a 1971 film or a 1960s TV show are involved or have any meaningful impact on overall cost. Not unlike how a doctor or dentist might have two different fees for the same service based on whether a patient has insurance or not. Oh, you’ve got deep pockets? Well, let me show you our “deluxe model” featuring even more cowbell!
Wife and I are enjoying the game. I am amazed how much of the modes/kid shots/multiballs stack. I haven't got a good sense of it yet, but you can get a lot going at once.
it seems the info is almost always on the backglass. To come up with good strategies for points or progress, I might recommend 1 player at a time, with other players reading info as it appears on the screen.
It will become easier over time, but there is a lot in this one!

Livestream tonight - Ken, Bill, and Steve are streaming Willy Wonka Pinball (latest code 1.07) tonight at 7pm CST. Jack Guarnieri will be LIVE on the call-in line

Just FYI
Picked up my SE today.. Was missing backbox wrench, good thing I own a data east and sega game. The 4 screws holding the instruction card mounts were loose, couldn't lift the playfield until I tightened them from inside the coinbox opening because the screws were tucked under the lockbar. No issues beyond that, wonkavision had no issues (but I was careful pulling the foam sideways). Had I been able to lift the playfield I would probably do that to get the foam out.
I'm only on code 1.04 and the code / callouts are already impressive. Can't wait to update it to latest code.

Standard edition.. not collector's edition.. congratulations on your pin
Played this a bunch at Golden State pinball festival, fell completely in love. Ordered a LE. I think this will be the first pin I go totally "collector crazy" on making it bling bling bling!!!!
