Pretty quiet night for chase young.

Tends to disappear in the big games.

Sweat is by far the better of the two

Agree. The D overall has been weak.

Happy for him he’s destroying it in Chicago.

Wash 1-6 since trading those two. Very effective tank job.

Super specific!

Stabler went 19-1 against the NFC !?!? So sick.

Lamar too !!!!

now at the stage of the game where only bad things can happen

Shit. No. Keaton Mitchell last week. Kyle Hamilton today.

This is the worst night of my life.

They need to get Purdy out.

His knee didn't like that last play

Just learned that Trey Lance is no longer on the niners.

#66563 4 months ago

Lamar always fucks things up, no worries.

#66565 4 months ago

Sam Darnold quarterback controversy!

#66566 4 months ago

If SF were interested in 11-4 they would have retained JimmyG

Probably go all-in on Flacco this offseason

#66567 4 months ago

Fantasy team bit the dust. I won my first 12 games and lost my final three.

#66568 4 months ago

What did veno say/do to get uninvited to this sausage party?!

#66569 4 months ago

So... you're telling me the NFC-leading 11-4 Lions "could" make the super bowl?

So like we "could" have a Browns-Lions super bowl.

That would be like the greatest thing ever to happen to the NFL...

Even Dolphins - Lions would be neat to see.

Probably would be the worst rated SB ever.

Also I think CLE and DET are the two most recent teams to go winless in a season.

Two longest winning streaks right now are the Ravens (5) and the Bucs (4)
weird!

#66572 4 months ago

Ravens three losses by a combined 12 points.

#66573 4 months ago

Losing hamilton for even just the miami game is huge. He’s the dynamic element to the secondary and gives qbs hell on blitz reads.

The fact ravens kept aiyuk in check while limiting samuel is my biggest win of the night. Facing that combo plus CMC is the biggest scare of the 49ers. Giving up the kiddle yards and cmc extra juice I don’t sweat. Watching Purdy collapse like that made great TV.

Was sick of aikmen calling the INTs bad luck… those weren’t balls off tips or back of helmets, but straight up defensive plays.

#66574 4 months ago

What did Vino get moderated for?

#66575 4 months ago

The Ravens took care of business. Purdy single handedly lost the game for his team. The most important player on the 49ers last night, at the most important position, played terrible football, came apart at the seams, self-destructed, and caused his team to lose. That was not a 49ers team defeat, it was Purdy throwing up all over the place and handing the game over to the Ravens. The Ravens took the turnovers and took care of business.

Lamar was the opposite. He made plays. Lamar is a better player this year than past seasons. He sure is special when he runs with the ball, but this year he is using his feet with the goal of throwing the ball down the field. Multiple plays last night in years past he would have kept the ball and run with it. Instead he stayed alive, escaped pressure, and tossed the ball down the field for a completion. Good job Lamar. It is cool to see players improve over time.

#66576 4 months ago

Interesting. The 49ers game featured XFL legend PJ Walker. And the Ravens game had Watson playing with a broken shoulder bone.

I wouldn't want to face the Browns in the playoffs.

Typical unfunny Pinsider political *joke* followed by Mod questioning. It's very rarely a successful combo but his Official NFL Thread vacation should be minimal.

Surely by "most recent" you mean ever

Wasn’t sure. Hence the most recent comment.

Sweat is still the sack leader on the Commanders at 6.

#66581 4 months ago

O'connell goes 9-21 with 62 yards and the Raiders still beat the Chiefs?

Yup, that shit actually happened.

#66582 4 months ago

OK I know this is gonna sound silly...

But three straight days of football is too much.

I was pretty sick of it by yesterday afternoon.

2023 Healthy Tua Contest update:

Down to the final 3. Tua completed his 15th healthy game on Sunday and eliminated Deaconblooze from the contest. Jaybird815 is next if Tua can survive the Ravens this week in Baltimore.

Those still alive are:

jandrea95 didn't follow the rules and picked 19, so I dropped him down to 17 for a complete regular season
boscokid 17
Jaybird815 15

Yesterday's late game gave me an excuse to finally sit down in the Lazy Boy for a few hours for a well deserved rest. But yeah, we don't need any more NFL for a few days.

Nope. I can't go along with it. Come March we will all be missing the NFL terribly.

#66586 4 months ago

Vini say it isn't so. Christmas goose booze? We've all been there

Probably AB84 related

Quoted from DanMarino:

Nope. That's Spring training for MLB, then I get 162 games to see The Angels go nowhere. Then I can watch my football teams do the same. It's a vicious cycle, but it works for me.

Ravens have led every game this season at the fourth quarter two-minute warning.

#66589 4 months ago

It's refreshing when the AFC championship game is NOT going through Foxboring or BBQ City for once.

What if it goes through Cleveland! A little change of pace?

We'll know more after The Fish venture into Baltimore on Sunday. Sure they both looked like contenders this weekend, but were playing overrated NFC teams.

Weren't they losing to the Rams just a couple of weeks ago and they went ahead under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter. Then the Rams tied it up and sent it to over time?

Looks like they were trailing until 1:16. Someone on twitter lied to me.

This one doesn't look like a lie https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ravens-have-14-point-wins-against-seven-teams-with-winning-records

#66597 4 months ago

Ravens own the Niners.Niners cant block and a blitz is killing them.Niners were out coached and outplayed.
The tribe has spoken.

#66598 4 months ago

I mean it's a whacky season.
Week 17 of 18.
Together we are searching...
There is no consistent juggernaut team this year that steamrolls everyone with unflinching confidence.
We are still looking for that alfalfa male team to show us the way to the next Super Bowl champion...
Totally up in the air at this point.
Please stand up. Please stand up.

If the AFC championship goes through Miami, we are gonna see a whole LOT more Filet-o-Fishes posted in this here thread. I mean I know I won't hesitate.

Last time it went through Miami, I was much younger and not much wiser than I am today. Tony Eason and the Pats D and running game filleted my fish that day.

Edit- forgot 1993 was in Miami against Buffalo with same result.
