Quoted from Colsond3:

He is a whiner. But I’ll give him credit for banging Olivia Munn for a long time.
But even with her it was one and done, like his Super Bowl rings.
[quoted image][quoted image]

as John Wayne used to say She"ll Do.A Rodgers come to SF you know you been slow burning since the draft

3 weeks later
#31357 2 years ago
Quoted from Deaconblooze:

I saw a bunch of new posts and figured you guys were razzing me for the Rodgers situation. This is somehow worse.

For the Packers it dont look good without Rodgers ,it must feel like a couple years back I picked Leveon Bell with my the 1st pick in the NFL draft and he sat out.

#31382 2 years ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

Kinda surprised so many folks are down on the Colts. Friendly wagers Colts or Titans ending up ahead in the standings?

Wentz may do well behind the colts line but Titans have a better offense, not sure about their defense.Today I say Titans but this could change by game 1.

#31388 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

For me its whether there is actually more than 1 Wentz. I think there's a QB thats full of his own shit, isn't liked by his teammates, and is seen as a non practicing diva, and that guy had 1 good year.
Rivers was 10 times that QB Wentz has been...even last year I'd put him at 3 Wentzes

is wentz the new carson Palmer ?maybe

#31393 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

No, Carson Palmer actually had many good years in Cincinnati

I remember him using the 49ers as leverage to get a new contract with Arizona.

#31394 2 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

Tannehill was hit garbage in Miami and given up for dead. I’m not saying this is going to happen with Wentz, but it’s not unprecedented.

Right Steve Young for example

#31399 2 years ago
Quoted from boscokid:

I dont think anybody ever questioned Palmer's leadership qualities.
Seems like a better Wentz comparable would be Jay Cutler. *good enough* to win about half his games but never fully embraced by teammates or fans.
Wentz was molly coddled in Philly and it bit them in the ass and cost Doug Pederson his job. Luckily they managed a SB win before it imploded.

ok switch it to Cutler

#31422 2 years ago
Quoted from Erik:

Is Chicago going to have 3 QBs make the roster? Lot of dead cap if they cut Foles or Randy

foles will be traded to the jets

#31445 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

EVERYONE in the NFL has a massive ego, so it isn't just the QB.
Imagine what they would say aboot him when he STILL wins the division without Rogers!
Think the Denver thing is closer

yes,or Radahs Gruden would kill for Rogers.

1 month later
#31535 2 years ago
Quoted from Jamesays:

foles will be traded to the jets

I still think Foles to the Jets will happen.

#31537 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Is Foles the next casell? A backup with short history of success who played himself into an endless succession of teams and big contracts despite the obvious fact that he sucks?
Sure seems that way.

Yep he may start 1 or 2 but will be the #2 .Still better than some of the nobodys my 49ers have had on their bench in the last several years.Easy money for Foles.

1 week later
#31586 2 years ago
Quoted from jandrea95:

Wow , niners and cowboys super generous.

I think (hope) the 49ers is accurate since the whole team of starters wont be on IR this year.

#31605 2 years ago

Fear not Colts fans I propose SF send Garopalo to Colts just give us back a beefy lineman or a safety.

#31607 2 years ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

Trade for an oft-injured QB to jump in for your newly acquired oft-injured QB. I like it!

maybe he can stay healthy until Wentz gets back and then they can trade back n forth as each re injures

#31608 2 years ago
Quoted from Jamesays:

maybe he can stay healthy until Wentz gets back and then they can trade back n forth as each re injures

I am getting tired of watching Jimmy throw behind receivers and waiting to long to throw.

#31610 2 years ago
Quoted from rai:

Maybe get Nick Fowles he can tell Wentz what it’s like to win a playoff game or five.
[quoted image]

Yes and Foles says he doesnt want to go to a team where he knows no one.Solved He has a buddy there already.

1 week later
#31674 2 years ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

Bunch of preseason games happened. I am disappointed at the lack of overreactions. Come on folks!
How about something like.... Mahomes won't get sacked once all year with the amazing new oline in KC!

ok he we are Garapalo for M thomas will add a backup player.

#31762 2 years ago

the Josh Rosen curse ? He goes to Arizona next they pick a QB on their 1st pick in the draft.
Goes to Miami Tua
Just left Frisco Trey Lance
Thats the good news Atlanta

#31851 2 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

I think most likely scenario for Watson this season is that he is a healthy scratch every week. I don’t see anyone paying the asking price for him. Any team would want to make the picks conditional and I don’t see Houston doing that. His career is on hold until all the legal stuff plays out.

I see him going to miami but at a discount.

#31856 2 years ago
Quoted from Erik:

I think there's like 10 criminal complaints or investigations so feels like too much risk for another team til that shakes out

He also has a huge contract that could be a problem but he has enough resources to pay his way out of this mess.Wouldnt be the first time.Buy your Houston Tua jersey now.

#31858 2 years ago
Quoted from DanMarino:

I could see Miami trading away picks to bring in Aaron Rogers before Watson.

a wiser choice for sure

#31861 2 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

I don’t see how Watson plays a snap this year.

It does look like a longshot but if the NFL says they will wait until his court cases are completed and or he pays his way out then Maybe.Of course that would be more likely with fewer cases.

Is this 1 of those games only on the NFL network ? Way to get a smaller audience to a game many will not care to see anyway.I will watch just about any game including a giants game.I may sound bitter but the NFL network is not offered on my cable so I would have to change that to get Nfl net and sunday ticket.

#32248 2 years ago
Quoted from fosaisu:

Sadly Levi's right on this one, the logical play for every team in the NFC East is probably to just tank starting Week 1. But we carry on. And yes the Giants looked terrible against the mediocre Broncos, but I have to assume WFT stands ready to play down to their level, so it could still be a fun watch (if I can even figure out how to stream the game).

oh I will see the game too if I cant find it I will just go to a bar and buy 100 dollars worth of Beer

#32252 2 years ago

It should be available on all satelite and cable systems even for a fee.Its just removed and not available unless I change from my crap provider to Direct tv who sucks so bad I changed them years ago.

#32254 2 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

Weeks 2-4 are NFL exclusives for TNF, and tonight’s game is the best by far of the 3

I wonder if they did that to gain viewers for NFL net or if they had trouble selling it to other networks due to lower quality games

#32263 2 years ago
Quoted from Jaybird815:

What carrier are you guys using? I thought NFL was pretty much on every carrier.

AT&T

#32362 2 years ago

squeak a win,I ended up watching this jewel at home.

#32363 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

When I saw the Dhop kick sail to the right I screamed FUCK and made a bee line for the can. Pissed.
Came out and heard cheering.
Couldn’t believe it!
Nice to beat the Giants anyway.

One of the craziest sports stats I've ever heard: Larry Fitzgerald has more career tackles than dropped passes

#34716 2 years ago

nice butt catch

#34829 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

I was all for him holding out as well. He was the centerpiece of a high powered offense and made only 2-ish Million his first 4 years, and then they franchised him. Easy to say he should have taken the next tag for 15 but it aint our bodies.

Unfortunately I feel no love for Bell.I never thought anyone would sit out millions so 1st pick in my fantasy draft that year.My friends gave me the horses laugh. Bitter ? yep.

#34861 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Well it worked in the NHL

not for Evander Kane on the San Jose Sharks he was suspended for 21 games.

#36124 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Ok I'll get right on that...when's the next league meeting? I'm ready to vote!

we discussed the moobs too.

#36136 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

"Likely Browns starter Nick Mullens has 16 career starts to his name.
In those 16 games, he's thrown for a total of 4,405 yards, the second most by any QB in his first 16 career starts in NFL History behind only Patrick Mahomes."
Edit: if I were a Browns fan, after killing myself of course, I would be in favor of any Baker exit strategy

Mullens is a decent QB (backup) He did pretty fair in SF with no front line .Is Thielen playing ?

#36207 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I agree.
And send Wilson Washington's way...it's worth a shot. Team's never going anywhere until we get out of QB Hell.

Yes get him out of the NFC West.

#36240 2 years ago

Saints on the phone with Manpower staffing trying to find a QB for this week.

#36408 2 years ago
Quoted from DudeRegular:

KC Cinci is going to be a fun game this week. Fingers crossed, knock on wood, and whatever other superstitions we can come up with in full affect so each team has everybody available from this covid run.
Chiefs and Bengals fans have that long run of playoff win drought in common. We finally broke ours after a crazy streak. Bengals are due. Tons of talent on that team now. Legit QB, two freak receivers, great rb, talent all over on defense too.

Edwards helaire not playing enough this year with injuries but williams is good.

#36493 2 years ago

Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, its raining.

#36799 2 years ago
Quoted from DanMarino:

Yes, it has happened and can happen and did happen with the best QB of all time.
If Wilson and Rodgers have long term deals, then let them stay where they are.
If Wilson and Rodgers want to live in the sunshine state and not pay state income tax, then I'm sure they would be welcomed in Miami.
I'm not a fan of the Watson pervert in Houston, but he would certainly be a better player than Tua.

if Miami pays they will get a top QB,if not get ready to welcome Jimmy G or a lower tier QB

#36889 2 years ago

Cleveland is going to be dangerous next year with Russel Wilson.

#37259 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Bengals > Raiders

My biggest concern is turnovers.Jimmy G throws behind the receiver 35 % of the time maybe more.Dont tell Dallas.

Highest rated wild card game ever
Dallas vs SF 40 million plus watching.10 million because they love the Cowboys 30 million watch because they wanted to watch them loose

well it was Americas team vs Canadas team.Americas team won.

#38081 2 years ago
Quoted from yaksplat:

I'm pretty sure that Aikman has a permanent concussion.

He also has a lump hanging off to one side, usually in a matching suit.

#38084 2 years ago
Quoted from romulusx:

I like Troy Aikman and Joe Buck
There I said it!

after the junk we had last week I was actually wishing We could switch to them,I guess I like Romo best of all the choices.

#38305 2 years ago

Choke is by definition what the Pats did, giving up the only perfect offensive NFL game in history.

Bills certainly didnt choke

#38761 2 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

"The notice on Ticketmaster that restricted NFC Championship Game tickets to those with Los Angeles-area ZIP codes had abruptly and unceremoniously disappeared from the ticketing site’s website by Monday morning."
This happened to me both years the Pens were in Stanley Cup with Red Wings 14 years ago; so I don't think this is very new.

People will just buy from stubhub and other secondary outlets anyway.

#38765 2 years ago

on those last 19 seconds ,your not totally wrong.Reminds me of the niners vs chefs superbowl where niners D let mahomes do his thing in the end.Not covering receivers and such.

#38790 2 years ago

Payton should sign a 1 year contract with Saints and then trade him to Miami for Tua.doh Then Miami goes after Wilson or Watson.

Trey Lance aint ready

#39054 2 years ago
Quoted from usandthem:

Jimmy G can be slow to make decisions. That’s the problem. It’s like the game is just a touch to fast for him at times. His hesitancy often leads to interceptions.

yes he tends to throw behind his receivers, needs o line help so not trying to do it alone.

#39078 2 years ago

Mr Watson welcome to the Bucs.

#39091 2 years ago
Quoted from Pickle:

Locally things are slowly moving forward….I believe in February the depositions/hearings from the women begin and they are individual cases….and Watson has to tell state his case for each one. It will take a couple months for a judge to hear all of the cases….not sure how quick judgements could be decided or if the judge wants to hear all the cases…could factor in if these are bogus allegations or a pattern of behavior that could sway the judge to move these to criminal charges. There are so many details we don’t know. The only thing we know is there are over 20 women and many of the details/claims are similar in nature. I would find it hard to believe so many women can all make up such similar bogus stories. Early on the local radio discussed quite a bit of the details…it’s pretty damning that he crossed the line IF the events occurred as the details suggest. We will all know soon enough.

only 2 of the 20 refuse to settle, that can change fast.

Go NINERS.I pledge to stay off the NFL thread until next year if they lose.Starting after the superbowl of course.

#39565 2 years ago
Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

I am just glad that SF lost while ago.
I care less who wins the SB, I just hope it is very fun to watch.
If the Bengals win, I will be glad that they finally got their first SB win.
If the Rams win, I will be glad that Stafford got a SB win. (I enjoyed watching him local back in his college days).
Maybe next year the Bills can go all the way and get their first SB win.
(And maybe soon my Broncos can win it again also).
All good!

I agree with all but the 1st sentence.
Im in phase 2 today.Yesterday was phase 1It was all scripted by the Man.
Today were only a QB away from the superbowl.Tommorow phase 3 we had a good year ,better than we thought.wish we had some draft picks.Doh.

#39568 2 years ago

#40606 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

As an aside, can the NFL perhaps institute a rule where players are not allowed to torture their small children for hours during and after the Super Bowl?
The parade of yawning, catatonic, and near-delirious toddlers on display during post-game interviews was kind of painful to watch. It's always been a little bit of a "thing" but this year it looked like a goddamn kindergarten class down there.
At least maybe they can create a night-care facility for these poor kids next year, so they can sleep during the game if these players insist on weekend-at-bernie-ing these kids all over the place at midnight in 2023.

Staffords wife was featured too much as well. She looks great but players wives like Staffords and years back Warners wife get too much time and think they are part of the show.

#41071 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I really think you are misinterpreting what I'm saying.
Look...it's impossible to deny that it COULD work out. There's a possibility. Just maybe Wentz suddenly regains 2016-2018 form and reveals himself to be a franchise QB.
I do not believe it will. I believe we send the turkey off to "market," and draft a young guy next season.
But obviously, the Washington brain trust, such as it is, thinks there's a chance it works out, or they wouldn't have sent a couple draft picks and $30 million into this thing.
That's just the reality. But there's a very nice off ramp when ole turkey ankles sucks ass.
If you are referring to me "convincing myself" that he is a better option than the shit sundae with Jimmy G cherry that remains of the QB leftovers, with more potential for becoming a franchise QB option...well, guilty as charged. I really don't see that as such a stretch.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic about your favorite team.Would I trade Jimmy G for wentz hell no.

1 game away from the superbowl

-Bengals will shockingly continue to give up a lot of sacks

I don’t know much about the 1982 strike. But the 1987 strike was pretty much a disaster. Only one team - Washington - had zero strikebreaking scabs. And that was probably going to change if it went on much longer.
A union is only as strong as it’s members. Maybe nfl players just don’t give a shit and don’t buy into the solidarity thing.

oh yes the year of the Phoney Niners

#41961 2 years ago

Carolina gets Deebo and Jimmy G then drafts left tackle at 6

49ers get Darnold and McCaffery maybe another player they are dumping

good for Carolina not SF
change my mind.

#41963 2 years ago

Deebo wants to go back home to Carolina so he has motivation
Niners want to shake Jimmy
Carolina wants to shake CMC,who played at Stanford
Carolina is looking at Jimmy and wants to upgrade for Sammy
This is bad enough to happen, sorry you got fished in thought I saw a Tuna named Charlie.

#41967 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Like I said, the problems with your formula are -
Nobody wants jimmy G
Christian McC is worth MAYBE a 2nd round pick these days, on a good day, from a desperate team whose first stringer goes down. Deebo is worth in the hood of a couple firsts.
It just makes zero sense for the 49ers. I’m sure Carolina would accept having jimmy G forced on them if it meant they got deebo but it’s irrelevant because any GM who made this trade with Carolina would not only be fired, he would probably be shot, and his house burned down.

Hes already going to be fired for the Sam Darnold trade if they dont have a miracle year.

#41983 2 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Dude, you are so being held to account. And bookmarked.
THE COWBOYS FUCKING SUCK and manage to disappoint every single fucking year. Yet you STILL think it's your division next year?
The Cowboys are in cap hell and did even less in free agency than Washington. They just traded their best receiver for peanuts. Even Cowboys fans think Dak blows and hate his contract.
Where do you get this ridiculous confidence from? That first-round playoff collapse last year has you thinking Super Bowl or bust?

Anyone desperate enough to take Jimmy G is 100 percent losing more games than the Commanders.
Only condition is he as a backup doesn’t count. Trey Lance is starting next season regardless of whoever employs Jimmy. 49ers still have an incredible team even if mr jets sweep leaves. That offensive line makes even the most mediocre skill players look good.
