Yes, here's a video of it.

Eh, if someone is dumb enough to buy for that price, why not?

Of course, we have a free market and "a fool and his money are soon parted". But you would have to be a complete newbie/idiot to pay more for a BG than a nice example of the whole game costs.

The same guy is also selling them on the Dutch Marktplaats site. Only $250.000 for a Paragon backglass!
Oddly enough he's accepting offers from $1000 on the Flash Gordon backglass there, a steal!
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from SantaEatsCheese:Just missed it... $600

Oof, that hurts
Quoted from Murphdom:[quoted image][quoted image]
For a home job that backglass is no worse than the the original one.

What are you finding in that wash job this is savable?
Quoted from cottonm4:What are you finding in that wash job this is savable?
All this awesomeness on the back side! I have an extra playfield that it could swap onto. Maybe in another 20 years some nut job might find it a worthwhile job. I may be that nut job. It could happen!
IMG_8499 (resized).jpegIMG_8500 (resized).jpegThe HH "smoker's" picture made me think I should post these photos here....I just started a restoration on a 1979 Williams Flash a few weeks ago. This thing reeks so bad of exposure to nicotine that my wife didn't even want me to work on it in the garage (much less the house) when I brought it home.
The head unit shields are all yellowed with nicotine (imagine what this does to your lungs!!), but my can of "Crazy Clean" is making quick work of getting them to look like metal again. I thought about just making new shielding from roofing flash material, but that's such a pain. If the rest of the shields can clean up like this one, I think I'll re-use them.

I'm looking for some trek & bally stuff if you are parting out.
Quoted from gdonovan:I'm looking for some trek & bally stuff if you are parting out.
No, I don’t think Im parting out this one yet…just “freshening” it up for storage.
I don’t even understand what’s going on with that X Files. I’m not familiar with the game, but that playfield looks messed up. Is that an insert in front of the file cabinet domino thingy?
A lot of X-Files shipped without any protection for the playfield on the magnet underneath. The ball just chewed its way through the wood to meet that magnet!
Sega did start putting a big metal flap to cover that whole area with to protect the playfield (same material as a ramp entrance flap), but it obscures a lot of art too.
That file cabinet is f'ed up bad too but that's easily replaceable.

File that one under “needs work.”

It's cool, it can be fixed. Just need some fresh smoke.

I was troubleshooting an EM and one of the coils had locked on but did not realize it because it was out of the assembly.
Smoke rolling out the coil door was my clue something was amiss.

That smoke was made in England, will that work in a domestic machine?
Here's an idea for the creative....I used to use liquid smoke in my electric train set as a kid. Why not add a heating coil and liquid smoke in a pinball game for the special effect? Houdini, smoke and mirrors. AC/DC Rock n Roll Train, etc....

How would you know it's a special effect or a coil locked on? lol.

That will just throw residue on everything.

The smell.
A buddy had a fog machine in his basement and we often played pinball down there with it belching out too much fog. Kind of fun when you can't really see what's going on.
We floated the idea then to have one inside the machine. BSD would be a good one to have that on.
You would have to go by smell - for those who haven't smelled the smoke that exits coils and wires, they would have to set up a test to learn the scent!

That kind of smoke stinks.
