Quoted from Jakers:

Not my house, but an acquaintance of mine that lives in mid Michigan. The local damn failed because of heavy rain. There’s a pin swimming down there.
[quoted image]

F***********ck. That sucks so hard. Just had minor flooding in my basement in Ohio, so I feel the pain. I always thought pinball machines were exempt from flood damage because of the legs... You proved I'm wrong.

Bet you haven't seen this magic trick on Houdini.. the vanishing pinball machine!

It was from some blown capacitors on the power supply board ... my dad is awaiting new parts now.

Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Holy crap!!! I’m amazed the machine looked so good and yet the playfield ripped apart like papier-mâché

Lol, this was my dad's machine. GranpaDave I know you have a video of this floating around too you should post here. Everything about the machine from the outside was flawless, just the inside was severely messed up.

Trent as always was an amazing distributor and took care of it quickly and cleanly. He's an awesome guy for sure and it's fun when we get to play pinball with him every once in a while. When we went to him to swap out the Beatles machine, he had some new rush pros at his place and let us play and we almost made him late for his league night

Quoted from Mathazar:

Not sure if this really constitutes a "horror" pic, but I thought I'd share a couple shots of my first restoration from about 3 years ago - Bally Black Jack. This was a barn find....a literal barn find only the barn had no roof. I don't know which was worse - the rotted out, mildewed floor or the water damaged, unbelievably planked cabinet sides. Being my first restoration I didn't know exactly what I was getting into, only that I could not resists getting a free pinball machine from a lady who just wanted it gone at a local estate sale. Turned out to be a really great learning experience of what to do (and what not to do) and that you can learn just about anything by watching YouTube videos. That's your first restoration???

Freaking amazing job!

Best ground ever.

Guys installing it:
"It's a safety pin ... looks safe to me"

Quoted from pinballslave:

Are they holograms on the side of the head or physical attachments?

Owner didn't have room for his topper because of low ceilings so he disassembled it and attached the gunners to the side. I thought it was pretty creative and brilliant.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Was he able to keep the gangsters active with their machine guns doing the rat-a-tat-tat ?

Yes, here's a video of it.

Do you know that feeling when you're playing a game and suddenly there's smoke coming out of it? And you wonder is it just because of the theme? And then you're like no, this is literally smoke.

Turns out it was a bad capacitor from the power supply.

Quoted from dudah:

So many questions...

I just imagine some dude's wife said "no pinball in the house" and this is him getting it set up to play just outside the window.

If they're moving this out, how will they unstack the pallets?

If they're moving this in, how did they get the pinball machine on top?

That's painful to look at.
