I have just a few Pin2DMD color displays left. These come activated and pre-loaded with GB licensed colorization files, totally plug and play. Happy to help with the install via video call. $275 shipped about 1/2 the cost of ColorDMD all in.

Thanks in advance for your consideration, please PM if I can answer any questions.

It looks fantastic. You got me to thinking.

It is electronic. Is there any kind of warranty?

Nicely done.

So I'm not all too familiar with Pin2DMD. If one already has a colorDMD installed in GB, will this be a noticeable upgrade or pretty close the same?

Thanks!

I cant see why anyone would want to do that.

Does anyone make a Gozer mod to replace that crappy plastic?

Rager170 :

Totally and Completely Agree. I absolutely am NOT selling this as an "upgrade" to ColorDMD - rather I am offering a lower cost alternative. And since I have a GB myself, I'm extending the offer to my brothers in this club.

I personally prefer this version to ColorDMD for the simple fact that I know the colorization artist (Martin Knoppke) and his work is incredible. He spends countless hours perfecting these colorizations, and his other works like TAF, TZ, MM, IJTPA - I feel legitimately rival the ColorDMD versions in quality at just a shade over half the cost.

With all that said, this is just one dude's opinion (not to mention I am the seller here!) .

Thanks Cotton! I've been part of the pinball community for over 25 years. I stand behind anything I sell, and if there is ANY issue, simply return for refund or replacement. I am happy to do the install together via FaceTime/Video Call, and if for some reason something does not work out the box, I will take care of it.

I have MANY very happy customers here on Pinside, and I'd be happy to provide references.

BTW: It's about a 10-15 minute installation. No soldering - beginner level difficulty, and again: Completely plug and play.

Thanks much!

Pete

Decided to make some rules for the Swinks Proton Mod-you can't just have people putting the pedal to the metal all the time

Made in black as well but decided the red popped more...

So basically... cheating permitted but on a limited basis?

You have to read this completely in jest because I have a center post modification so I'm a hypocrite.

#12211 5 months ago

few mods completed !

AfterLife Ecto - the cheap plastic 1/18 version....burnt bits removed, bit of updated paint and Evans Design light kit added

Proton guns EL wire (12v)...might adjust the lengths later (shorter) or double up streams

Scoop lighting

if was more organised would have the tutorial photo's to go with the post !

Quoted from swinks:

The Ghostbusters Straight Down The Middle (SDTM) Gates are ready. These fit to the left side of the pop exit so balls don't exit and head straight the middle between the flippers.
You will get 2 gates (1 x 16mm wide and 1 x 20mm wide) with each kit so you have a spare or swap to the one of your liking.

And the Fire House Proto's are nearly done

How much is shipping on those gates to the USA?

What type of SD card does Stern use for Ghostbusters? I want to try something but want to make a backup.

Thanks!

#12222 4 months ago

just got a Ghostbusters (Pro) last week by shear luck.

While my Cliffy storage facility proctor parts are on order I figured I'd make TPU protector for the wood (inspired by NinjaCamps Rush premium VUK protector) at the base of the saucer since Cliffy doesn't have anything like this for GB and NinjaCamp doesn't seem to have anythign for ghostbusters.

I can make more if anyone wants one, I put up a listing on my pinside shop

That’s nice I’ll take some. My clear coat has started coming off right there and I couldn’t find anything to put on it.

#12224 4 months ago

I've only had my GB a few days and been modding out my ghostbusters like crazy. I did the storage facility thing yesterday, today added the 3D building, the Scoleri bros improved springs, the ghostbusters rail upgrade kit, mirror blades, a Gozer figure (I might mod this one out more to add LEDS so the "lightning "pops" more). and just added my newest mod which this post is about.

Because I could never find the terror dog when playing the game at the bar where I used to play it and would search around looking for the target... when the hurry up came up.. now that I have mine and found it I don't want to forget (I'm old I forget things)

I will have a few more for sale if anyone wants one.

The Gozer and Terror Dog head come together when you buy the toy on Amazon for $14. This shit where people sell stuff for pinball for 50 times more than it’s worth needs to stop.

I am mad at myself, I should have added the Ghostbuster sign as well, just to mix it up every now and then.

it was a last minute design for Brooke as at the time I wasn't sure the ecto light bar would fit in the premium / le.

I ordered a couple spare GB logo kits with the next batch of Fire houses as had to order 10 kits to get the better price.

Do any of you remember if there is a ramp you can purchase for the Pro that feeds the ball to the left flipper?

Put carrot flippers on it instead f the center post. Makes it so much better in my opinion!

I got the Swinks SDTM gate to protect a cheap drain coming out of the left side of the pop bumpers. It works great. But to do this I had to take off the airball protector because they both don’t fit on the post. I still get too many air balls for comfort, even with the upgraded target brackets. Although the gate works terrifically, I am pondering switching back.
My questions:
1. Has anyone had luck installing longer posts to accommodate the airball protector? Even without the sdtm gate, I find that when I tighten the airball protector nuts on, it squeezes down the library plastic and traps the captive balls rolling through the gate underneath. (I got the green balls).
2. What is a good object to place on the back of the library so that balls don’t get trapped up there?

I am happy to add photos if it would help.

I found that turning the flipper power down to normal (I think default is set on high) and getting some sort of jump protection over in/out lanes really helps extend ball times a lot on this machine (at least for me).

Its too bad those Drain Busters arent sold anymore. They really should have come with the machine to prevent lane jumps. They are awesome.

Aside from that, just play better people! dont mod to cheat

I couldn't agree more. I have the drain busters on my machine and they make a WORLD of difference (and are hardly noticeable). Cliffy may have more, when I discovered them I reached out and he had a few left - this was a couple years ago.

I bought them from the other guy who was selling them, I forget who that was at this point.

But yes, its worth reaching out to Cliffy.. They really stopped a big problem that I was having with them jumping lanes.
