I'm in the process of getting a Ghostbusters Pro. I was looking for a LED light kit but can't find one anywhere. Any suggestions?

#11251 1 year ago

I need to replace some of the LEDs because they need it.

Quoted from SKWilson:

What kind of LED light kit? Like you would use to replace incandescent bulbs in older games? If that's the case, you should know that GB is already LED.

Finally got a Ghostbusters back in the house after years of trying. A Pro this time, had a Premium originally at release. Now for some simple mods: Containment Unit, Firehouse, Library, and some symmetrically stacked books to add something in the middle.
Had the Walter Peck figure in storage for years waiting for this.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

That’s awesome! Walter Peck comes with a brick wall complete with containment system door? Nice. You can get stacked book mods in a few versions, but I liked the one that came with the librarian ghost I bought.
[quoted image]

That really is symmetrical book stacking. Where's it from?

Are there schematics available? The auto plunger isn't working properly and I'm betting I'll need parts.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but page 35 shows the ball launch assembly.

Thanks, ended up finding that last night. Love how it's labeled no schematics and it has most, if not all of them.

Went thru my Pro this morning. Got most everything adjusted and repaired, working on cleaning off the 6 years of protective dirt on the playfield.

How good is the Mezel Mods firehouse? It's the only one readily available and the photos they have in the site aren't so great compared to the install photos I've seen.

#11276 1 year ago

Anyone see the colored captured balls available anywhere? The green with blue or red sets. Mezel doesn't have them currently.

#11283 1 year ago
Quoted from Nstone4425:

I have a bunch of green and pink ones.

Are you willing to part with 3 green and 1 pink?

#11286 1 year ago

So I found a Funko Pop Firehouse in my collection. It's so close to fitting.

It's hollow. The spinner cut out would be almost perfect with the center of the doors.

Seems to be about an 1" too tall, going to test fit it when I remove the firehouse plastic later this week. Just looking at alternatives.

wolffcub Love your mod, I PMd you about being put on the backup to the backup list for it and about your Trap mod for the Pro as well.

#11295 1 year ago

Which air ball protectors are good? Do you need sets for the outlanes and for the left ramp? I'd like plain clear ones, not tinted and don't really want the center post.

#11324 1 year ago

So I just received the library building for the premium/LE for installation on my Pro. How do I install it though? Holes don't match up for an install from what I can see. Any help would be appreciated.

Interested in the Walking Stay Puft as well!

I need to turn the Tilt sensitivity down since the prior owner of my Pro was a restaurant and they had it maxed out. I see a Tilt setting in the adjustments, but whats a good range for it? Any other suggestions on modifying tilt?

#11391 1 year ago
Quoted from Ollulanus:

Do you know how the bob works? Simplest thing to do is to loosen the thumb screw on the bob itself, slide it down on the rod. The lower it is, the less sensitive it will be. It's conical and triggers on contact with the metal ring; lower essentially=smaller bob, harder to get it to hit the ring.
Tilt debounce in settings controls how long the machine waits before registering a second tilt after the first.

Never really had to mess with the bob in years of having different machines, no one ever set it so sensitive before. Thanks for the info!

Anyone have a photo of the back of the Containment Unit plastic and how it connects on the Pro?

Thought I took photos when I took it apart but can't find them and while I think it's the screw with a washer and a nut, it doesn't fit.

Thanks!

#11469 1 year ago

Thank you!

Quoted from swinks:

I have a manual for my storage facility mod which shows the install process but also shows the plastic removal - might help you
just scroll down to GB - Storage Facility Mod

So here's a weird one. I swapped the rubbers and now the left side sling switches on my Pro don't respond. The actual sling works in the test but the 2 switches don't respond at all.
Didn't do anything else, didn't even lift the playfield.
Any suggestions?

So I'm trying to install a topper from DK Pinball. The power adapter says to install on J16 of the power board. I can't find a J16 on our power boards.

Any suggestions?

#11727 1 year ago
Quoted from Schwaggs:

You need to contact your supplier. None of the power boards have a J16. Do they mean CN6 (which is commonly used on spike 2 games)? If so, still bad news as Ghostbusters Spike 1 power board doesn’t have CN6. The only 12v supply available is at CN11 on the cabinet node board.

Thank you, it was driving me nuts going thru everything. Might just get a 12v power brick for it.

What's the easiest and least destructive way to feed a 12v connector from the head so I can attach it to an alternative topper?

Do you have a photo of the back showing how it mounts? Printed it and going to paint it so looking forward to installing it soon.

Quoted from rapidflipper:

“Don’t shut it off!” The GB storage facility plastic felt uninspired, so I created a 3d sculpt that accepts the existing light boards and features Lock 1 & 2 lettering. There's also a wedge base that rotates it towards the player for better visibility. Uploaded for free download on the Printables site.

What type of SD card does Stern use for Ghostbusters? I want to try something but want to make a backup.

Thanks!
