Unfortunately, whether you like it or not, you can’t compare a stranger things pro to a standard stern pro. STH was a late bloomer and highly sought after. Anything newer than that is simple to find.

Still may have not received what he asked for but definitely more than what a DP, JP, GZ, FF would fetch.

How are payments usually handled? Thinking of selling my Jurassic Park Pro, HUO. No issues at all.

Played STH again this weekend (prem w/ projector & UV light kit). Still a pretty one dimensional game, not great really. Pales in comparison to other recent Stern games. Kind of reminds me of Premier games with all the gimmicks on the PF (C of 1812, Bone Busters).

Agreed. It's not a great game, but I do like the UV switching and the vagina monster. It's pretty fun but not worth the insane pricing, like most titles these days.

Owners will tell you that STH is the rarest of the modern Sterns, and that a pro is worth the cost of a premium.

Non-owners who have no skin in the game, and nothing to lose or gain will tell you exactly what it is... A moderately fun game that despite being one of the biggest television IPs, sold so poorly that Stern just stopped making them (hence the rarity).

I'm a huge Brian Eddy fan (own both MM and AFM) and although this game is essentially the same layout, I would never trade either of my games for it, not even the LE!

To each their own, but if we're being fair, the overhyping is clearly coming from the owners.

Even the prices are dropping on Pinside, so many games just sitting there waiting to be picked up. I think this will continue for quite a while. Most of the new purchasers from COVID have stepping back into their previous roles and just want to clear them out

I owned an LE(NIB) for about 5-6 months. I didn’t find it that good. Some of the layout was a bit too clunky although I thought the IP integration was very well done.

While my wife and I were fans of the series we just didn’t like the game all that much.

Doesn’t mean it’s bad, just not our thing. We have Spike 2s, WPC, CGC, JJP, and MM P3. Not sure why we just didn’t connect.

Meanwhile I’ve been thinking of trading our JPLE (bought new in 2019) and she won’t let me. It’s our most exciting game according to her. So it’s not a hate for modern games.

MM and AFM have stood the test of time, imo, two of the best unlicensed pins of the 90's hands down. I've played and beat their wizard modes multiple times, have enjoyed all their nooks and crannies, still like to play them when I see them on location, but, if it were my money and I was given the option of the 3 pins to own at home right now I'd take the Stranger Things no doubt about it. For my tastes modern Stern games in a home environment just have more to offer me than 90's Williams/Bally machines.

I just got my STh LE back after lending it to a buddy for 2 years.
I forgot why the game is amazing. You play it with the lights off and it's one of the best put together pinballs around. Theme integration is top notch.
