... BSD, Surfing has a cool saucer to wireform to an area with random magnet action, and Sapporo has a neat little user controlled diverter mech that works as a ski ramp.

Just came across this interesting title on IPDB. "Sapporo" EM with all enclosed relays and multiball. Looks like it has a plastic ramp type of thing on the upper left hand side as well. I'd like to see one of these in action. [att=3681981,927244 caption=""]

I've managed to track down an old Sapporo. There are only two other publicly playable Sapporo tables in the world, AFAIK. It's in poor condition and is in ... wish I knew how to repair pinball machines, I'd fix it up myself. One publicly playable Sapporo is at the Japan Game Museum in Inuyama, Japan, and the other is kept at ... headquarters and is occasionally shown at company exhibitions. pinball in japan Post #20 in topic

Posted over 10 years ago by Sega – in All Pinball ‐ Last reply over 10 years ago

Surfing and Sapporo both blew me away when I played them. Surfing has a mist-multiball type magnet that makes the ball "surf" down the small playfield and Sapporo basically has a vacuum-formed ramp (in 1971!). The Japanese EM and solid-state games from the 70s-80s are not highly regarded by Japanese players, but I was really impressed with the features. So many have multiball, magnets, and other cool features that are not seen on very many EMs.

Is the Segasa brand related to Sega? There's an 1972 Sega Sapporo for sale here in New Zealand (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=539282417) that Pinside has no info on and IPDB has very little.
