Pinside dog-lovers, indulge me for a minute. Apologies for the hard sell, but I've made certain promises to Mugsy.
BOTTOM LINE: I *LOVE* this dog, and I will sponsor THE ENTIRE ADOPTION FEE for any Pinsider or a Pinsider-referral who adopts this gorgeous boy. See below.

Back in June I posted about Mugsy, an amazing bulldog/pit mix who is available for adoption at Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, one of the rescues my wife and I volunteer with: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/dogs-rule/page/4#post-1715726
As of today, Mugsy is still looking for his forever home.
Mugsy is approx. 4 years old, around 100lbs., and as you can see below he is one handsome boy. He is healthy (fully vetted), happy and super-personable, and yes, he looks like a little spotted cow - he's definitely an attention-grabber when he's out for walks.
He's currently boarded at a kennel, and he's been there far too long. I was really hoping that he'd be with his forever family by Christmas, and am heartbroken that he wasn't.
Mugsy is under the care of Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption in Cranford, NJ - http://awos.petfinder.com/shelters/NJ70.html Best Friend is a non-profit organization that rescues animals directly from the streets, and also pulls them from the "to be euthanized" lists at local animal control shelters. If we get Mugsy out of the kennel, that opens up a spot we can use to pull another dog from the kill shelter - by adopting Mugsy you not only change his life forever, but you literally save the life of the next dog in line.
If it will help him find his forever home, I will pay cover all adoption fees if Mugsy is adopted by a Pinsider or by someone referred by a Pinsider, so if you aren't in a position to adopt please pass Mugsy's info on to anyone who may be interested.
If you want a meet and greet with Mugsy, want to find out how the adoption process works (it's pretty quick and painless) or any other information, please contact me directly, or Best Friend at the link above.
Now... adorable Mugsy pics!

Nice Bully! Looks like my first one.
It's been 10 days since Darth left us suddenly. He was the goofiest, sweetest knucklehead I have ever encountered. While I still get misty eyed when I spend a moment touching the box that contains his ashes, or the beautiful collage that my buddy Stephen created for me at my request, I never fail to smile when I think of my memories of Darth.
Dogs are such a gift. Remember to hug your puppy as often as possible. Because their journey with you can end in the blink of an eye.
So sorry to hear about Darth Vader. We love our dogs like our kids. I feel the love for your dog. All the best to you.

I feel your pain, I lost Flash on 1/16/15. He just showed up on my front porch fifteen years ago and never left. He was digging the new mantel stone I had cut.image-710.jpg
You guys are killing me. I still miss my Stella who left me a year ago. So hard to let them go. We love our Dobermans (Stella was a blue and we also had her Aunt Rose who was a red). Our current family includes these 2 nightmares. Maximus is on the left and we just got Luna on the right this past Saturday. Both are rescues. At the moment Luna enjoys crapping in the house so we are working on breaking that habit, which is proving quite difficult. A little time and perseverance and we'll be good though.
IMAG0665.jpgOk that does it, I'm in!
I've had my Lab mix Houstyn since she was found roaming on a country highway in early 2004 at about 4 weeks old. She has absolutely become my soul mate, the only animal I can talk to like a person and she understands. Dillon the Doberman is a warlock breed (largest), and was adopted from the Charlotte Humane society in early 2012, he's maybe 5 now, but just as retarded as they come! But hes still a member of the family.

Wowza that's young.
We have a house full of rescues. Our original 3 are AKC dogs but when we visited a local shelter about 5 years ago we just couldnt not help. We take mostly seniors and special need dogs that nobody wants. We have lost 3 seniors in the last couple years and that is so hard but we always seem to find another in need. Right now we have 16 in the house and honestly not sure we can handle any more right now. If you want a dog please take a look at your local shelter. There are so many in need. Here is a pic of some of ours.

Yep... he is more like a cat. Very self serving, but he is hilarious.
Quoted from mulder2010:Mugsy is one great looking dog!
Mugsy is one handsome dude, and an eye-catcher - he's got the low-slung carriage of a bulldog and the adorable pit bull face, and always a smile.
He's irresistible in person. People routinely cross the street or otherwise go out of their way to meet him when we have him out at adoption events and for walks. We just need to get him seen by the right crowd; we've had great interest in him at events at the local Harley-Davidson dealership, but so far not the right fit, which is a shame, because all he needs is a home and a family to love him. I *will* find those for him.
In the second pic, she kind of has that, "I am going to stab you in the face" look going on...
(edit to correct she to he, apologies to Eli .
I am sure many of our older dog owners will remember this guest when it originally aired. Well worth 4 mins to watch (or watch again) and I apologize in advance if this was already posted

Hannah's, RIP, 12th birthday party she got her own cake. The last picture was here "chasing" the plate around the kitchen.

Brother and sister (Mother is pure German Sheppard, father is a Sheppard, Lab, Husky mix) Spark-the male is currently 21 months and Sky-his sister is currently 9 months. Smart, smart dogs that are a really good mix - although at times too friendly to strangers (the male is starting to have some gold color come into his coat and I have been told he now looks like a wolf and that freaks some people out)
Quoted from neverahighscore:Here's our latest rescue. 10 months old and still growing. Our 4th Dane and our biggest so far. All puppy-all fun!!!
The way the picture is taken it looks like your wife is half human, half dog.. like something out of Greek Mythology.
