a Cat wouldn't do that for a Dog! DOGS RULE!
I want to celebrate my beautiful girls life, Sheba had to be put down less than 2 hours ago now and I finally can cry no more and post this beautiful pic of her. I was given her at 3 and had 10 AWESOME years of her enriching my life through illness and great joy. RIP beautiful girl and enjoy the doggy beach in the sky. I hope you understand why I made the decision to let you sleep as you did not deserve the pain that was coming. IMG_0701.JPG
Love Dad
this wasn't meant to be a bummer thread! so please have a smile as she had an AWESOME life with me.

ya got to see this! excellent
I have a new foster name Kumo, he is helping me get over the loss a truly great dog Sheba, earlier in post.
So rewarding giving an unloved dog everything it needs. He is getting his nuts chopped today DSCN1272.JPG
11 months old Lab/Shepard X. Here is a pic of his first adventure in the back yard. 6 days ago, come along way, but a long way to go.
Quoted from jwo825:Congrats to Kumo, I'm sure he'll be wonderful. I'll day a little prayer for his recently departed testicles!
Bucket is on and he was not impressed, a nice tin of sardines fixed that! he is happier now.
Ouch.
Quoted from oldskool1969:This fella likes to oversee my work on Radical which will be getting some art work re-done.
Just stripped the mylar at this stage.Kumo and Radical.jpg (Click image to enlarge)
By the way I nick name him CLARENCE as he is cross eyed! ( yep like the lion ) poor bugger tried to jump in the back of the wagon today- it was closed!
She looked very well loved, thank you for giving her a good life. Many are not as lucky.
We all sympathise with you.
In oz, thumbs up means good on ya mate, not necessarily thats great. I would NEVER like a loved pet leaving us.
Quoted from Who-Dey:Thanks guys, it was honestly the worst night of my life. If I could have given my life in return for him to have another full life I swear that I would have. Sounds crazy I know but I loved him more than anything.
Be happy in knowing you gave him the best life ever. You are not alone with these thoughts, we have all been through this shit.
Be strong and start a new furry chapter (when you are ready ) All the best Dude
Our dog buddy's are better than most humans. To all who have lost a furry mate, you are not alone.
Your next journey with a new buddy will ease some of the pain. Chin up and be happy in knowing you loved them enough to let them go in their time of need.
This is my my 3 year old foster fail Kumo Clarence ( after the cross eyed lion ) hopefully put a smile on your dial.
Yes he is a slightly cross eyed German Shepard x Labrador, smart and stupid all in one.
Andy
Quoted from yzfguy:LOL, as cute as they are, that is one creepy picture!
One of us, one of us!
Quoted from DaveS:I see Ripley has a “1/2 stache” on the right side, 1 year old Maggie has one on the left.
If you named yours Ripley after RBION I should have named mine Total Nuclear Annihilation and not Kumo
Some fantastic memories there mate and my heart goes out to your family.
PUGS are just so comical and unique, but mongrel rescue dogs can have some beautiful qualities too.
Good luck with the search for a new furry friend.
Sorry Dude, looked like a real character. Tell us more about him/her if you can manage.
We all share the grief when our little furry mates rest in peace.
The peanut is too rough for most other dogs so finding a nice quiet beach in winter is AWESOME
40kg Shepard x Labrador and maybe a hint of Rottweiler . Smart, stupid and big all in one. Love him.
He actually came back when called
"He Is A Good Boy"
fullsizeoutput_1a8 (resized).jpegfullsizeoutput_1ad (resized).jpeg
There just isn't a better image than an animal so at peace it will crash in the most awkward positions just to be next to you.
Firkin love it
He certainly doesn't look impressed! I think you need to explain to him the good cause it is for, ha ha
Quoted from Who-Dey:Yeah but he's a pretty little shit.
Not pretty but a handsome or good looking shit
Quoted from Who-Dey:Jake isnt real thrilled about the 4th of July as you can see.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Looks more like ICBF
Quoted from RWH:Had to look up echidna and it looks like a cross between an anteater and porcupine.
Just like every other Aussie mammal, it will kill you. Especially bloody Drop Bears.
Quoted from bob_e:just fostered a dog
[quoted image]
Didn't think anyone drank this swill!
Believe me Aussies do not drink this.
Quoted from transprtr4u:My boy!
RIP
July 7, 2007- Nov 6, 2020
[quoted image]
What is this good boys name?
Underneath all that fluff he might be tethered?
In Australia it is law that it must be restrained, dogs bloody love it in the back of a ute
Quoted from Daditude:My gentleman is watching the superbowl with me:[quoted image]
Quoted from RWH:Looks just like my Toby too!
[quoted image]
this confirms the US election fraud as even dogs voted ! ha ha ha ha
Quoted from yzfguy:We are pre approved for a rescue pup this coming Saturday. We were told the litter of four were all females, and just found out they are actually all males. Always had females, but wondering if adding a 5 month old boy to our 10 year old female might work out better? I get different answers from different people....same difference?
training and socialise.
males are fine , but I do find females more loyal and level headed
Quoted from screaminr:Doug and Daisy turned 4 today , seems like yesterday they were just little bundles of fluff .
[quoted image][quoted image]
I think I may have Dougs Dad! Kumo is about 6-1/2.
4B626A2E-10E8-40BD-901E-DEA68CE41C82 (resized).jpegQuoted from screaminr:More like mega wrong .
I use to think this too at first
Believe me this dog is a very special one.
Megatron for the win
Quoted from screaminr:I probably shouldn't have said anything . Tiger is a good guy and I'm sure the dog is very much loved , it's just not for me .
No dude, say what you want. No one is / was offended. They are just words.
I use to think it was queer and cruel too.
There is a good story about him a little ways back.
It’s not easy, but you will definitely know when. My heart breaks , but it is the final act of love you can give. All the best
Quoted from Oldgoat:I wish it were always that simple. We had a dog that suffered from seizures. Started just before he turned 6. At first, one every few months. Then every 6-8 weeks, then once a month, then clusters of seizures across a couple of days. The impact of these left him dazed and confused. Again, at first maybe 15-30 minutes after the seizure, eventually it took more than a day for him to recover. Between episodes he was fine. Ataxia crept in but he was still happy in the lulls. Now understand this was a very slow decline that took place over six years before we finally made the call. That's how slow it was. This was not a terminal disease per se, nor were we dealing with him being in terrible pain. When is the right time? What is that magic line that tells you it's time? When he is himself only 75% of the time, 50%, 25%, 10.2% of the time? We finally felt it was time but I have no idea if we should have waited longer or done it sooner. Sometimes there just are no right answers or what I chose to beleive is every answer is the right answer as long as it is made from a place of caring and love. That's the best we can ever do. I wish pinwiztom peace with the decision. (By the way, we have a dog that is 15 1/2, blind, deaf and living on borrowed time, so I definitely empathize with the wish that one day he would fall asleep and not wake up)
It is simple if you have compassion and love. I have done it for animals and recently my Father.
It is not easy but something inside helps you make the hardest decision and ultimate act of love.
Quoted from screaminr:Can anyone see the guy wearing a t-shirt , beanie and sunglasses in the picture .
you lost me, where?
Quoted from screaminr:Can anyone see the guy wearing a t-shirt , beanie and sunglasses in the picture .
I spent hours n hours looking at it again and again. I now see it! For others it is the chihuahua nose into the sun on the black shepradour. The t shirt is chihuahua body.
Dang you have a great imagination
Quoted from yzfguy:I can't for the life of me see what you guys are seeing!
your life will be better this way!
Quoted from Tyamry:This is Bubba, one of our Catahoula's. He has been diagnosed with IMPA (rheumatoid arthritis).
[quoted image]
I also live with this terrible affliction. Didn't know it affects our furry friends.
Poor pup can't even tell you what's happening so I am very glad you found the right meds.
Dang good looking beast. Keep well Bubba.
Quoted from screaminr:Doug is such a filthy Pig , we had to make him go in the Creek after he rolled in Shit
[quoted image]
I would rather they rolled in shit and not eat it like this little turd burglar and the big black shit factory behind him
DE2FE67E-E7A4-497C-A53E-D8258529A4A7 (resized).jpegMy peanut had some cysts cut out of his chest ( all clear ) last Friday and I think they released him a little too soon.
He was so wasted I had to lift him in the car and he slept another 3 hours there.
A 50kg dog stooned out of his brain is not an easy lift.
He is doing well now.
Try a small t shirt or a " thunder jacket " they act like a firm hug and hey, who doesn't like a good hug!
People like puppies, me? I love the older dogs as I sense their beautiful sole and they REALLY appreciate the extra attention.
Yours looks like an absolute Legend. great photo and great chariot for a God
Can you muzzle?
He looks beautiful, but as you say unpredictable is not good.
You are a very responsible person by the sounds of it and am sure you will make correct decision.
If it was me, I would probably say my good byes. Emotions can’t play into this one as you stated he went at you.
Good luck Dude
Life is full when you have three furry fuckers. Tried to capture when they are in their ZEN moment.
Kumo, black lab X German Shepard just loves watching Rambo as the violence seems to calms him. My foster fail.
Buddha , Tanned Chihuahua , when sleeping he is an angel. But this little shit terrorises the other two.Mums puppy 1YO.
Bella , 15 year old Chihuahua , most faithful, obedient dog for my Mum. She has half a lower jaw which is why her tongue hangs out all the time and legs which are perpendicular to her body.
Quoted from zr11990:The pic with the dog watching the movie is too much. Its like he/she really it watching it. Where is the popcorn?
That my male buddy Kumo ( Japanese for cloud ) When I fostered him at one, he was not in a good way and a strong un trained dog. I could not send him back so I foster failed and now he is a massive part of my small family.
The jerk who had him before named him Cujo , yes Cujo! I am sure he was trying for a fight dog, but Kumo had a good side to him.
Still an arsehole, but he is my arsehole.
Quoted from Tyamry:Good luck to you and Matilda.
Our dog Bubba had ACL surgery a couple of months ago and hasn't faired so well. After 6 weeks he still wasn't putting any weight on it so they took x-rays and determined that a couple of screws needed to be removed so they went back in and took them out. While doing that they took a culture and sure enough it's infected. He is scheduled for his third surgery in 2 weeks to take the plate and rest of the screws out as the bacteria is adhering to the metal. He also has IMPA (rheumatoid arthritis) which isn't helping his amune system at all. [quoted image]
Bubba and I are kindred. I too had leg surgery leading to infections, metal removal and long rehab times. 3 1/2 years later still chewing pain killers. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. At least you will have a chilled pup.
Wishing Bubba a better out come than this little black duck.
One thing I have learnt recently which helps in ANY depressed or sad situations is to learn
GRATITUDE
When you are grateful for what you have and have had you find inner peace and happiness.
Seriously, it sounded sort of guru shit, but try it at any time and you WILL feel better
Thank you Maggie for the fantastic pic your Dad put on Pinside.
Similar experience with my Sheba, heartbreaking when you have to make a quick decision on your furry friends life.
I am very sure she is grateful to you for loving her enough to help her no longer being sick.
The final act of true love for your furry friend and take peace in knowing you did the right thing.
Im glad you didn't prolong her pain for selfish reasons.
Post some more pics as she looks very grateful to you for being her human friend.
May you find inner peace brother.
FYI, I went 10 weeks before I HAD to het another furry friend, I guess i just had too much love to give.
Quoted from screaminr:While you guys are going into the snow , we're just warming up [quoted image]
I love a sunburnt country! Merry Xmas
in degrees celsius, gonna melt me thinks
This is the only thread that is human where the subject is not human.
The love, respect and emotions that are shared with no agenda or ulterior motive is humbling and I
Hope that it continues for the love of all our furry friends present, future and unfortunately past.
Good reminder that there is more to life than luxury items like our beloved pinball.
Peace brothers and sisters. ✌️❤️
Was having a really crap day putting up with all the negativity going on in the world and the you post this.
Thankyou thnkyou thankyou
People don't believe me until they meet Kumo. He is a glorious 48.5kg Sheprador.
Malts like a bastard in summer. Thank god winter is coming!
pinwiztom you have too much love still to give!
A furry friend to help ease the pain just could be the ticket.
It took me 10 weeks before I realised this and fostered / adopted my crazy mate Kumo.
Never looking back. He is also extremely grateful as he was " raised " for his first year in an aboriginal community where he was mistreated.
He is not the best , but he is loved and love is given back ( in his own special way ha ha )
Quoted from wtatumjr:My dog has no problem grabbing anything on the counter I've prepared for anybody
Dabs of tabasco on the bench soon stopped mine!
People who harm dogs are trash and deserve every bit of Karma coming their way.
The only time I lose my shit and square up with these degenerates.
Global warming is melting his head! ha ha ha of course i take the piss
Dozer is a good looking dog and that coat looks like velvet.
You didn't lose him, you both had the pure joy of each other for 14 years.
It sucks and may Zeus R.I.P.
I always her " blue Monday " when i see dogs like Zeus
Quoted from screaminr:January's picture on the dog calendar .
[quoted image]
Dude, that picture is not only funny, but awesome too!
Good looking , cheeky pup.
I wish I had the chance to say thankyou to my mate the way you kissed your baby girl.
Great photo and my sympathies to you and the family
Quoted from pinwiztom:love those ears
how old is she?
Yeah, more info like if she is smart or a lap dog etc. etc.
This little Tea Cup Chihuahua , Bella ,who at 19yrs and 8 months decided to see her Dad ( my Dad )
this morning in the afterlife.
she was a loyal dog and helped my big boy Kumo turn from a nasty rescue, to a loved pet of the family.
RIP little one, you're a good girl.
Quoted from EJS:This guy doesn’t have a name yet.
[quoted image]
Boondy
great dog
GrahamStrong93
Look after yourself brother, tough time losing a loved one.
But hey, you got the woofers so it’s a little easier.
All the best
