Quoted from Snurdley:I couldn't resist. This is my best friend in the world.

Ah........There are more pinheads that are smart and have Shepherds. Good looking shepherd!
Quoted from wannabewiz:Pick any random dog and any random person..... huge odds that I will like the dog better. Funny 'cause it's true.
We could learn a lot from our canine friends. Miss my rat terrier that we had for 17.5 years. May get another one but so hard to lose. Agree with the one that said they would give up their years if they could add them to their dogs life. That would make the decision about another one easier.
Could not agree more. Well put. I can tolerate just about any dog. But most people? not so much. Especially in this day and age.
Quoted from captainadam_21:The way the picture is taken it looks like your wife is half human, half dog.. like something out of Greek Mythology.
LOL. Good eye..
Quoted from zr11990:I want to ask a question to you guys that have lost your best friend. How do you deal with it? I love my dog so much and just thinking about losing him puts a lump in my throat. I know you just have to deal with it but my God its got to suck.
It's HARD as hell believe me. My wife and I have never had kids, just dogs and a cat over 24 yrs of marriage. Lost 3 pets in 18 months yrs ago. Worst 18 months of our lives. Our 11 yr old German Shepherd was diagnosed with Dygenerative Myelopathy last Oct. He's hanging on, no cure and it's the just a terrible crippling disease. And it's been the absolute worst 7 months of my life since. Only time will make it better when there gone.b.jpg
Just recently had to say goodbye to our one and only "kid" recently due to Degenerative Myelopathy. He fought hard as hell since diagnosed a year ago, and with the help of physical therapy and at home exercises, and a TON of love and attention, he almost made it another whole year. SUCKS like hell to have no one home waiting for you anymore. He is so sadly missed by all that knew him. Miss you so much buddybohdi.jpg................tn.jpg
Quoted from Grayman_EM:I like Siberian Huskies too, but the cost that I've seen is $700-$1,000. Dog or Pin? Can't decide.
I love Huskies. I've had a couple myself. If it came to a dog or a pin for the same price, dog for sure. Initial price for a dog means little to me. It's all the costs after that. Even then it's worth every penny.
Quoted from fiberdude120:At first I thought Yukon had two friends over to visit.
Uhhh, actually he did have 2 visitors. I just loved the pic with the "3" Huskies. This one is Maximus, and the other Husky is Hercules
Maximus (resized).jpgHere's my buddy Yukon (Father in law's dog) up at his place in WI. He just LOVES it when we come to visit. I take him on 4 wheeler rides in the RZR, and he also gets a couple 3.5 miles walks each day too. Pic of him in the RZR was early last week when we got all the snow. He had a blast..

Couple of Huskies! Wish i had some of those next door. Yukon would like that
Yukon Happy (resized).jpgQuoted from yzfguy:I kinda like that tattoo idea.
This a bad pic but, I did the tattoo thing. Was gonna wait til I lost him but didn't want to wait. He will have been gone 6 years this September. We still miss him daily. He was are only kid. Miss you Bohdi.....
20210224_093010 (resized).jpgQuoted from fiberdude120:Lucky you, when ever I try to take my girl for a ride she just jumps out.
Yeah, took awhile to get him in there, but now it's his favorite thing to do. He'll walk to the garage, stand by the RZR and bark. Pretty funny.
Quoted from bssbllr:Just a little reminder to check for ticks. Found this on princess was able to remove it and all is good. Looks like I have to grab a new tick collar.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Agreed. Just because the weather is getting colder and ticks are all but gone, at least up here, doesn't mean there not out there. I found one on my German Shepherd just before Thanksgiving years ago. I use Frontline and keep it on Yukon til November
Quoted from ChefHazmat:Meet Toby. 5 months old today.

More pics please. Shepherds are my favorite
Yukon is now permanently living with us. He was the father-in-laws dog until he passed away suddenly in July. We're so happy to have him full time. He now gets walks every day and more attention than ever. Plus it's sooooo nice to see a waggy tail again when I get home from work.
