Hey Jeff,I apologize for the boo hoo remark.I thought I was being funny but that was stupid on my part.Congrats on getting one of the few POTC I hope your enjoying it

Man the CE is incredibly gorgeous and the gun handle mod takes it to the next level! Super jealous. Hopefully one day I can buy one for myself.

WARNING ON THE PISTOL
okay ...lady comes by and I guess the top part.of the pistol just fell off. She about cried and thought she broke the game...lol
I told her everything would be okay...
but the top part did just apart...looks like I can reglue it on and u wont notice...but I do suggest the other pistols without that top thing ...I always did wonder how good that.would hold up or just snap off easy....but still a great add on for.the game...just get the simpler one

Hey , just checking in here , and notice the warning over the pistol. Had no idea i wish i had been informed but you seem to have it under control. Then I can beat on the qc crew
What top part are we talking about here, the complete flint lock mech?

I had this happen on mine as well. It was not the complete flint lock mech. It was just the decorative piece attached to the top of the gun handle. I walked by and saw it laying on the floor. I reattached it with Sugru and I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere now.

GREAT PRODUCT...JUST SEEMS LIKE THAT WOULD COME OFF EASY...WE WILL TRY SOMETHING SND IT SHOULD WORK
Quoted from RichieWrench:GREAT PRODUCT...JUST SEEMS LIKE THAT WOULD COME OFF EASY...WE WILL TRY SOMETHING SND IT SHOULD WORK
Thanks Richard.
All parts are bonded on with 2pack epoxy glue. And an extra screw to keep the flint lock in place.
Sure hope there have not been more failures.
The little top metal decoration is not on all of them. Possibly the bond broke as its glued on the 2 pack coating. Might have taken a piece of that with it. Re-glueing should do the trick.
If its happened to anyone else i apologise in advance.
Okay -- I love the print on this for the CE Model - It really does make a big difference - WOW - Great Job -- Other Pics as well of my CE #12

I am doing the Black Mirror blades on this one - I am doing the Gold Mirror Blades on the Smaug and Chrome on the Dialed IN CE#12
We’ve been playing Wonka SE since July 2nd and we’re deeply hooked!
Looking forward to upgrading to the CE hopefully soon.
Quoted from Audioenslaved:Wow that gun looks awesome but how the hell do you plunge the ball with it!
It is not hard and it works perfect - Just got to be careful on that trigger part that fell off- But I got it fixed today - BUT IT WORKS AND LOOKS AMAZING

POTC CE or WILLY CE?

Just a fair warning. I did the black chrome mirror blades on my Pirates CE and it looks amazing but note it fits insanely tight as they used ever inch of that game. Raising the Playfield is a challenge even with protectors.

AS LONG AS IT LOOKS AMAZING -

It Does! Until you lift the Playfield and scratch the crap out of them! lol
PERFECTION....My tech guy...Bob...got these on Smaug And the POTC...I can lower and raise with no issues...he had to do something different...but he got it done.
And shooter is all good to go now

So do tell what did tech guy do Different so they fit fine? Mine do fit but raising the playfield without a scratch is a game of operation of sorts. Do tell?

My understanding is that he used a different screw and had the one hold already is what holds the one side and he used some very thin ...very good double side tape.......it actually works ...if u want PM me and i will give out his number....and he will let.u know...he is older.man...but really is a. amazing pinball tect...he could do this full time if he wanted...but he is retired and just does this for some extra spending money and the fun of Pinball.
I love this POTC CE...its going to be hard to top.this but I am.hoping to see.what Willy CE does

Thanks appreciated. Yeah as its anchored at the rear pivot and a small screw in the front only some thin 3M is needed as it really can't go anywhere. They do fit but unlike most titles POTC is a Glove fit to cabinet lol. While Wonka is great game I will tell you in advance it is No POTC! Granted I doubt a game will come along any time soon that will be in my opinion. That game and Eric set a pretty high bar.
Hey guys my potc ce main monitor is dead my pinball tech confirmed it’s getting power has anyone had this issue and what did u do to fix it / replace it ?

You might want to start with JJP tech support. LTG works 7 days a week. My guess is they would know more then a pinball tech.
Quoted from Yelobird:LTG works 7 days a week.
I can't send parts though.
Under warranty or to buy a new one, contact Shannan next week.
LTG : )

Have you tried hooking up another monitor to make sure it is not the video cable for some reason?

Why would you have a tech guy for mods? Working on your pinball is more than half the fun. It's like talking to a girl, and you have someone else take her home....
You cannot break anything (really) installing the mods yet it will teach you about your machine. And you are a handy guy, judging by your trade.
I understand that many of us have everything but spare time, but you are missing out on a lot of fun, education and satisfaction.
If anyone comes over to your house and wants to talk shop ..... what then....

Unfortunately, a lot of us just don’t have the spare time.

Finally.. finally was able to place an order for a replacement POTC monitor. Its hardly even one year old, the machine was built 12/2018, sold to original owner in Feb 2019, hardly used and purchased by me in either May or June. Was great until beginning of October when monitor died. Took many emails and phone calls to finally get a replacement ordered. .. 600.00 + . Remind me never to buy a second hand hardly used JJP again. Only NIB JJP in future, if I like the theme. Back to the future please. Thanks.

Wow...I'm surprised they didn't give you a better price for just being under a year old. Had to be some kind of defect imho.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:So I got my monitor today and my tech is on the way tonight to install it, but they sent me a Mirco Ray monitor, isnt that the lower end LCD for POTC? or no?
Never mind picture looks great game fixed ! Finally !
Curious on what exactly these monitors are size, mounts, etc. Seems like we should be able to use existing mounting brackets from old jjp monitor and just buy a new LCD TV for much lower than $600. Thoughts?

Believe me
I would do that but the bracket and the power source are weird I don’t think it’s that simple unless someone has already done that ?

I see. I've never looked at my jjp monitors, so I didn't know. Just seems really steep asking $600 for a monitor that's $125 in stores.

Yeah man I was very sad spending that amount of money, and my wife found out.. jeez whiz. In future I will only get second hand JJP from distributors that can back me up if any issues. Or NIB. No more local purchases. Ive bought pins from the guy before, he said he owns a store, but I dont think he is a distributor otherwise he would have stepped in .
Quoted from Oneangrymo:BTW guys suggestion on what to do with old monitor??
I'd contact monitor manufacturer directly about repair possibilities.
Has anyone been able to get better sound quality out of their POTC? I also own a hobbit and the sound quality difference is incredible. I know they move a significant amount to the backbox causing the speakers to oriented in a upward fashion. I just want to make sure that this isn't specific to my game....sound quality is there through headphones but not through the built in speakers.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:BTW guys suggestion on what to do with old monitor??
I'd try to get it repaired somewhere. I would imagine the screen itself if good, not a monitor expert but I would suspect it's some kind of power supply-driver problem that shouldn't be too difficult to repair. Then I'd hold onto it for a backup or sell it to try to offset the cost of the monitor. Still surprising they couldn't do better on the price knowing it's just a year old...
Quoted from Rhombus:JJP POTC CE Topper
- IT IS the torque placed on the crappy, undersized, incorrectly supplied and incorrectly geared motor. The target torque and RPM were apparently not a part of the motor / gearing selection process. Additionally, the motor is just cheap and noisy. I will eventually will replace it with a good motor but for now the steps below help a lot.
Has anyone replaced their topper motor with something better?
