You don't just apply new decals. Most of the work is in removing rails, hinges, etc, then getting the old decals off, smoothing the cabinet, spraying the edges. Not gonna do it in an afternoon....but if you do get it done that quickly, please post finished pics.
Heatgun really amplifies the stink. Softens the old decal. Burns your fingers. I'm just relaying what works for me, and that's stripper.
Its a mess, gotta do it twice, but no real easy way. Get the aerosol, spray it on, wait 5 or 6 minutes, scrape. Then, do it again. Then break out the sander.
