Right, thats what I was meaning to say

Quoted from Mdanielb:

I believe those were actually Spooky direct order numbers, not actual game#.

#2602 1 year ago
Quoted from ReadyPO:

Well, I cannot believe I joined the fang club today and ordered a CE. I wasn't even jonesing over this theme though I knew it was likely Spooky's next release. I have an Ultraman that I bought a deposit at a discount and told myself until more mature code was released for it, no more Spooky pins (FYI, I like my Ultraman and have had zero issues other than some minor adjustments).
I also have an Alien LV on order (more than a year now) and was heavily considering the Bond pin. However, after seeing the Scooby pics and the limited game play trailer, I came to the conclusion that the price/value is way better than the Bond pin especially after Stern prices increases in January and a $2,000 topper down the road if you want "added modes/gameplay" (Don't get me wrong, I like Stern pins just fine, but the value needs to be there). It is more multi-generational and approachable to my non-pinball playing guests and family. Actually not in a hurry, my order number is xx728 and if it comes in a year or so that would be great. Hopefully I get Alien before then!

made me check my order number, I’m right behind you with xxx729, but I’ve actually asked to be at the end of the line….

Anybody wanting a CE better get it fast. I just checked and there are only three available to put in your cart on Spooky’s website. I work all the time recently so although I knew this was coming I didn’t even know the actual release had been announced until yesterday and I would’ve been so disappointed if I missed out on this one and I can’t believe I was able to get one yesterday so I’m happy as a clam and it does look really well designed.

In a weird coincidence, three is the maximum amount of games you are allowed to order at once from the spooky website.

Oh, the only reason I mentioned that is because I saw someone else mention they were able to put nine in their cart on their website but it’s my first spooky purchase so I don’t know their rules just didn’t want anyone to miss out.

You can order 3 of each model if you’d like, for a total of 9.

#2608 1 year ago
Quoted from PersonX99:

The best part of new pinball releases is watching people absolutely lose their minds over a game they have only seen in pics.
Then second best part of new pinball releases is the sudden shift once people start actually playing the game.
Happens....Every....Time.

Godzilla the exception?

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I’m happy to stop at 1 lol. I stopped buying new releases I haven’t played yet now that prices are so crazy except for a top theme I’ve been waiting for. For those, I’ll take the chance if I don’t like it that I can sell it. But pinball is always a gamble, so I’d rather gamble with a fun pinball machine than going to the casino. This one hobby is worth it to me. Plus it’s something I share closely with my son, and I love and cherish that.

Just in case I get hungry while playing.

I have TS4 and ordered Scooby I think they will be great in the same room. TS4 is better than I thought. Yes, I agree overprice a tad on the CE. Now, that a bond LE is $13k though....... IT seems they're all overpriced at this point. I mean. Add a stern topper to bond someday..... How much does that make it?
Pinball is expensive for sure.
Flip away and bring me my Scooby Snack!

And I will have my TS4 next to RM and Scooby!

I hate hopping in these “hype” threads to badmouth pinball art, but c’mon people the Mystery Machine graphic design on the lower tiers of this model is hot pinball garbage.

I get why the Disney execs of Stern are good with movie poster copy and paste, but I can’t understand why boutique pinball is ok with copy and paste art for anyone that can’t afford the top tier model.

#2620 1 year ago
Quoted from Mdanielb:

Correct, these are just invoice numbers that we were given from their store. Same numbers as you'd receive when ordering any item from them. But, it helps in seeing *roughly* how many are ahead of you through them.

Why can't pinsiders use the pm button to call each other names I will never know...
On a different subject we are seeing the effects of the downturn in the economy. I just put a SD in my cart. Seems crazy that this has not sold out yet.

The really scary part is having distros with more names on a list then games available to them and not one sold out. Tells me tons of people backed out.

Surprisingly many prefer it over the CE which I do not understand. Everyone has different taste.

You obviously have little imagination if that is what you read from that.

Your name on a list does not guarantee you a machine. Nor does it guarantee the Distro a Sale. It's just a placeholder. And many people place multiple 'holds' with distros and some of them still go on to Direct Order.
Just the way it is.

But you seem to really enjoy biting Spooky's ankles. So keep on keepin' on.

Definitely use it almost on a daily basis..lol
I’m little worried they might not put it in the game
I’ve gone over all the art work and don’t see the mummy anywhere.
Which I can live with.Already have a few figures to add.
But hopefully his sound can get put in.

Me too! And there were about 4-5 songs that were super catchy and rhymed well, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, really hoping they load the code and video scenes and songs from the original show plus call outs with the great actors. For me, the original voices are my favorite. Frank Welker is awesome and Matthew Lillard is the closest to the original shaggy voice, but the other new actors although excellent, just aren’t the same for me as the originals. Got to have some of those catchy phrases in there from the original show not remade.

YES! I completely forgot about this episode, but friends and I in school would say “COIN!” rather than, “give me 5 bucks, will ya?” This is classic and MUST be worked in!

#2632 1 year ago

I keep watching the gameplay video that was posted. I really feel like this will be a great pin for my daughter once she's old enough to play and enjoy pinball (she's only 1 right now). It's a really fun theme and doesn't seem terribly difficult to flip. Really excited still!

I wonder if anyone is wondering how close to selling out they are.

My guess is not close at all.

#2634 1 year ago

Doesn’t really matter considering they have already sold more of these than any previous game they’ve made. That’s a pretty substantial achievement and it shows that the community that supports this company is still strong even with all the endless pinside grumblings, nitpickings and impatience. That being said, I really would like the Halloween code completed sooooooon. Haha

It's not amazing, but it does make the CE look extra great by comparison I guess. Given how many CEs they're gonna sell I can see why they didn't think it was worth spending much time on the other ones.

You know what game has really ass cabinet art? The Shadow.

You know what game is one of my all time favs, and has been since I first got serious about this hobby? The Shadow. It just doesn't matter that much.

Someone once asked me if I'd be willing to make new cab decals to match my translite and I said I couldn't imagine bothering, nobody cares enough about cab art to actually swap them. I know I don't. Translites you stare at, cabs sides are mostly whatever.

I dunno how many rows of pins you have to pick the "cabinet art end pieces" for, but each row only gets two.

Had #10 UM CE.. swapped it for a later run HWN CE (we really like the HWN theme more), and missed R&M - resale prices make it difficult to pull the trigger. Love the enthusiasm for Scooby, especially with the love/hate on the last two pins. I'm waiting this one out, but my 19 yr old son is 100% in if we can snag one later. I think it would look sweet next to HWN. Congrats to those that are getting one. We'll be watching. Nicely done Spooky!

Not necessarily I recently gave my games a bit more space and really enjoy seeing more of the art...

That R&M would look great in my line-up. Honestly, gun to my head i might not be able to tell someone what the side art looks like on all my pins, BUT Spooky has some sweet side art and butter is insanely cool. The Scooby CE looks great, the other art package could have just been the mystery machine and some smoke..

Space....in a pinball room....what is this nonsense? If I can't see the sides of my games then I'm a happy boy cause my room is full.

#2643 1 year ago

Figured the reason why butter option is pricey.

Several hundred more to each of the 8 distributors would put the number being made over 1969… but you might be right since it looks like Nitro has 2000 available for sale on their site.

If spooky did business like any other pinball company, they would've been "sold out" within an hour. But we all know how that works. Sold out just means forcing distributors to buy your pinball machines for the privilege of doing business with said pinball company.
