Quoted from jazc4:This one is about an hour from me. I'd give $200 maybe. Gotta have a fair amount of rat droppings in it.
Are you willing to go as high as $200, but only if it has a fair amount of rat droppings?

If you can smell it twenty feet away from the sealed cabinet you know that you’re getting your money’s worth!

I can smell it through the computer screen, that's awful.
Ugh. Someone beat me out to a black knight for $300 two days ago. Just saw that the buyer posted it on here today (clearly did zero work) for $1500. That was gonna be the first restore I did on my own. Boo

Same. Someone posted a dead slot local to me for dirt cheap, someone bought it, didn’t fix shit and listed it for $800. I couldn’t help but call him out.
I’m not against buying a machine, fixing it and flipping for a reasonable profit. I’m just amazed at how many people are dishonest and will lie, cheat and steal. Maybe I’m glad that’s foreign to me.

Id run from it. I had a completely working one. Worn pf no bg and couldn't get 500 for it. This one is far rougher and will need even more.

Down this way, this pin commands STUPID crazy money. If this would be listed anywhere in Tx. it would be gone in a day if not before.

If the cabinet was in good condition it would sell at $300. You could use the cabinet to restore a better title and sell the transformer, lockdown car and coin door.

Just curious. How much work / money spent must occur before reselling a pin is no longer flipping it?
Quoted from John_In_WI:Just curious. How much work / money spent must occur before reselling a pin is no longer flipping it?
No fast criteria. If you buy something & immediately relist it with a higher price, then definitely a flipper. I take it as a biz lesson. The person flipping an item isn't a bad person. For me however, I won't deal with them. So it's a lesson on who to do business with.
I’d buy from a flipper as long as the deal is right. Doesn’t bother me how much they have into it, doesn’t even cross my mind honestly.
Quoted from John_In_WI:Just curious. How much work / money spent must occur before reselling a pin is no longer flipping it?
Literally any work. This guy basically stole a machine from people who actually like pinball and is now trying to make a $1200 profit for just moving a pin from one garage to another.
People like this are making pinball unaffordable for those who actually enjoy pinball.
Yeah if you just look at all his previous sale posts they invariably say “just got this today” or “just got this last night”. Lame!

Why is there a ramp going across the playfield? Never seen that before.

It has the topper, though!
Quoted from FLASHBALL:Why is there a ramp going across the playfield? Never seen that before.
I think it's because it sat in their garage for years and now that they're selling it, they threw a bunch of stuff in it that they thought belonged to it. That includes finding and reinstalling the glass. I'd imagine the glass has been off it for years. Dust doesn't settle softly like that in a game that's had it's glass on the whole time.

Dammit ...Pinbots (projects pins) are so scarce, id consider biting on this one if the backbox was intact. Looks like the PF is just totally covered in dust and some kinda extra part/ramp?
ID offer $300 if i was local. BUt aint no way id spend $500 to have it drop shipped to me.
Plus a total cabinet refub...maybe reskinned.

Solid state projects <$1,000 are hard to find the last 2-3 years but they’re out there.

I only grabbed one sub-$1k project this past summer, but it was a mess and missing the transformer, boards, displays, backglass, plus the cabinet was falling apart a bit from water damage.
Compare that to 5-10 years ago when I was grabbing a project game just about every month in decent condition, no missing parts or water damage, for under $1k each.
It's definitely a lot harder to find them now.

That depends on how willing you are to make a road trip.
This year I have had 7 that were under 1k. I typically see a couple a week in my 250 mile driving radius.
