Y'all missed a spot...

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Turf King / Bingo
Cost: FREE
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Contact/Link: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-turf-king

Great art and condition, but some schlub cut the wiring harness. Someone save this from destruction.

I am genuinely surprised that Centaur II / Trident / MH deal is still available. Trident is wildly underrated as a player. I've had mine for about 20 years with no intentions of ever selling it. I'd be all over it if I wasn't out of room.

The Gottlieb deal is a good one but I'm scared off by the water damage to the particle board cabs. And the fact I'm VERY out of room.

Quoted from pinfixer:

Cabinets have no scuffs or scrapes. !

Look closer at The Shadow's head and CBW's rails by the buttons. I'd be surprised if these were HUO. Shadow's playfield looks pretty dirty too.

That said, HUO is a subjective term. You can still have thousands of plays on these sitting in that house for 25 years and if no one is cleaning them, they'll get just as beat up as a "routed" pin. All those terms are pretty silly if you ask me. Condition is king whether it sat at a bar and got wiped down/cleaned every week or in a house for 25 years without the glass ever being taken off, ya know?

The OP says its an 8 ball pinball, but I cant tell from the pics...im sure someone can id it from the front of the cab since the head is wrapped in cardboard....
Also a Donkey Kong for sale also...

Argosy is a pretty fun, interesting layout. I had one for many years. The artwork and theme are so bland though. That backglass looked to be in far better shape than most. The red sail is usually toasted.

Sega Space Jam project for $750 buy it now in New Braunfels TX. Great deal for someone in need of a project. I’m tooooo flush with projects right now myself or I’d be jumping on it.

I think it had been posted on CL or somewhere in the last few weeks for $7500

$350

Really good deal on this Blackout in San Antonio. Perfect timing on the new hard top just released! I’d be all over this if my brother didn’t have a Warlok... and I wasn’t way out of space.

#16953 3 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

I’m surprised that the ad is still up.

Quoted from shimoda:

Always so far away and one of my long sought titles
Don’t imagine anyone near San Antonio would drop to Fastenal

The ad may still be up but out of morbid curiosity I emailed them late Sunday. No response.

Just listed a project Bally Black Jack in the marketplace: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/98330

#17571 3 years ago

Yeah, anyone know what could be the deal with this Blackout? It was originally up for $350 a month or so ago, seller never responded to any emails. Relisted for $500 and still not responding to people?

Williams FLASH for $200, a bit north of Austin, TX

Not my ad. Sounds like a great deal. Hope someone here gets it!

Quoted from jrpinball:

Decent player, but couldn't stand the sounds!

I only recently found out the sounds are pot-adjustable on the SB-100. Though I can't confirm because I won't dare touch the one in my Trident. It actually sounds great and must've been adjusted before I got it 20 years ago. I didn't even realize it was "supposed" to be the same horrible, grating sounds that I've heard come out of Dracula, Wild Fyre, and such.

I just fixed a TNT “reconditioned” cabinet. It was horrible. Latex paint with a thick brush. Looked worse than the pic could show.

Another pinsider got that Viper. He posted it up in the Stern Electronics thread. Looks like a very nice example and a helluva deal. I still regret not picking up a project one 5 hours away like 20 years ago, but $650 at the time was insane! Still have never played one.

#21135 2 years ago

FFS!

Way to turn a $3500 game into "$300" worth of junk! Anyone wanna pick that up for me? I set my mind to scratch building a Nine Ball and many of those parts would be helpful.

#21137 2 years ago

I'm gonna see if he'll ship it via Fastenal.

edit: Local pick up only. Damn it. Anyone wanna help a brother out?

#21139 2 years ago

If anyone knows someone they can recommend, please let me know!

#21143 2 years ago

I just really want the apron, coin door, long arm spinner, and ball guides. Anything else would be bonus material. I’ve actually have all the other parts.

Already resigned to making the harness, so that would only be a very welcome bonus if it was still there.

Someone pls let me know how much Flipper Fair goes for.

$225!

https://texmax.hibid.com/lot/101531998/1961-gottlieb-flipper-fair-pinball-machine/?auto=true

Some pretty stellar deals. $1400 each for Fireball and Wizard were both the high water marks. Most things way far down the line. Star Jet for $800 seems like the steal of the day. Hopefully these went to collectors and not flippers.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Any idea for how much it sold for?
And I take you you do not live Michigan anymore?

You’re talking about two different games, @cottonm4. ss-pinball was trying to grab a Meteor in Michigan, not the F2K in Oklahoma.

Reported for listing practices.

Quoted from tfduda:

Looks like a hacked account.

These scam listings by hacked accounts are popping up every day on eBay now. Same games, same bs second photo, different hacked accounts. I’ve been reporting them constantly it feels like.

#22346 2 years ago

It's also on CL. I shared to a local pinsider in the Classic Stern thread over an hour ago who is trying to pick it up.

#22355 2 years ago

$100 Aladdins Castle that looks to be in great shape, missing the backglass however. If you score it and want to pick up a nice backglass at TPF to marry it with, PM me.

OP: Parting out this Totally ruined disgusting Bally paragon pinball machine, the only thing it got for it is that is fully working, and complete, complete s**t I meant, prefer to part it out and wipe it out the face of this earth but will sell the whole circus if you want it.

Pics for posterity

Damn! Someone brought the 60’s Sega version of that Basketball game to TPF a few years ago. Really had to restrain myself from buying it, solely for space reasons. It was nicer, but marked at $3500 and eventually did sell. SUPER fun!

#23719 1 year ago

And they have a rare classic stern Iron Maiden next to it! Wish I was closer. Really liked the restored Freefall that was at TPF this year.

#23723 1 year ago

Wow, it was the first time I’d ever encountered a Freefall. I didn’t realize the third flipper was an addition you made.

I'm not done with it yet but, someone IS using a Stern EM body and it's me. But it's a Pinball EM

Sucks it's not an hour or two closer. I don't have time to run out that far.

Flippers flippers flippers. The cycle never freaking stops. This one bummed me out because I had no time or space to jump on it when DreamTR listed it on Facebook:

Quoted from dung:

Pinside is saying its a sub 1k game. After tax and money put in to get it going not sure there is much of a deal here.

Buyer could do some modifications and update the code to make it a better game: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stingray-stern-1977-software-update

I'd buy it if I was closer and then convert my (probably) crappier Stingray into Star Gazer or Nine Ball or something.

#24840 9 months ago

^this. I still say it’s a good deal.

#24990 7 months ago

Posting pics for posterity but yeah, YIKES! $100 though I'd be on it if it was a hair closer to Austin. Lots of good parts to be had. I'd take that coin door over a couple I have currently. Backglass looks pretty decent too. Though we all know with Mata Hari, looks can be deceiving

Quoted from bluespin:

Nice reminder of what a Quicksilver looks like before it hatches from its cocoon.

Wish I wasn’t so god damn busy this week

#25435 4 months ago

You'd have to find a Cosmic Princess playfield to build one and then a 5-bank controlled drop target. Not really the easiest conversion from a Wild Fyre. I put a fair number of games on CP at Houston Expo and it's neat but not anything special.

Wild Fyre > Quicksilver is easy because you start with two of the hardest parts to find: the drop banks.

Wild Fyre is also one of only two games that used the 3-saucer kickout mech. That puts it in the running for an Ali conversion (repro playfields coming soon!).

Very cool it was nabbed by someone with the skills to do something awesome with it!

#25437 4 months ago

Just fwiw in the pros and cons on a Quicksilver (Mirco) vs. Ali (Fantastic)...

I think it's clear which playfield maker would take the prize bag in that fight.

#25474 3 months ago
Quoted from HobbyGuy:

Gone now. That was fast. Curious what it looked like - how bad?

Wish I didn’t have a massive water flood in a building at work right when that got posted or it would’ve been mine (I just know it! ). Snapped this screenshot right before the ad got pulled. Playfield was rough but a hell of a donor pin for a scratch build regardless.

I have read that Bally did make plexiglass backglasses, mostly for export games. For that price, it looks like a steal either way.
