I just got done playing about 8 games on location of a bond pro.
The left orbit would reject close to the ramp frequently. Is this a thing with all bonds? I've only played one other pro and I don't remember it doing that.
I picked up a premium and looking forward to playing more. The game shoots great.
Quoted from TheClownpuncher:Is there a part number for the better springs? I know PinMonk gave a breakdown of color from weakest to strongest but looking at Marco, they only have the part numbers. I took a shot and ordered the -02's hoping they were stronger but no color on the spring so no idea if it's better.
Guess I'll just cut them not that I have a spare set.
Have you tried hooking it on the same spring without cutting it? Just hook a loop on further up the spring and let the rest dangle. I am pretty sure someone has a pic of what I'm talking about.
Quoted from Photopin:I'm a Premium guy all the way with Stern, but for Bond I got the Pro. I've played games on both and there wasn't enough difference to justify the extra $$$$.
I got a premium due to a lucky snag on the secondary market, 100 play premium for what I consider a great price.
However, I am thus far unconvinced on the pro vs. premium debate. I was really hoping the premium would give you another skill shot opportunity after every physical ball lock similar to GZ.
Bug note:
I was in Jetpack multiball, ball 1, collected 2 extra balls. Neither were there after the multiball. Anyone else have this happen to them?
So I've successfully gotten to level 3 of the Jetpack multiball. Level 2 on the prem/le has you moving the bond on a wand with the flippers to have him hover over the tank, then you have to hit the tank to have the ball drop on the target. Fun, but not easy.
Anyone else want to comment on their experiences with this? On my first game I got into Jetpack MB early ball 1, I managed to get to the load phase of stage 3 prior to draining, but while getting there I accumulated over 200 M points. Pretty fun.
With all the modes in this game, wouldn't it be interesting to be able to stack villain, henchmen, and q modes?
Any one else not getting extra balls in Jetpack MB to register/hold over? I've collected EBs in that MB and seems like they aren't there when the MB is over.
Side note: what is stern's email for bug fixes? is it [email protected]?
While the last code update didn't quite do what I hoped, I still love this game and just enjoy the shots.
Quoted from Nicholastree:Not every game benefits from a shaker... but Bond does. Like thekaiser said, it's activated during play but really hits you during BJB, making it even more of a thrill ride.
Can't speak for anyone else, but BJB is still the best experience this machine offers - and its one of the best, if not THE best experience in pinball.
I didn't notice my shaker doing much. Anyone have tips on how to adjust your shaker? My game setting is at maximal use. It's from pblife if it matters.
I think I'm supposed to offset the weights a bit but not sure how much.
Quoted from Nicholastree:Does your shaker go crazy (in a good way) during BJB?
I don't really notice it. It has a subtle rumble.
Considering selling my Bond premium with rocket city mods,
HUO, ~250 plays.
Game is mint.
$8400 with mods or +$100 with shaker.
Joplin, MO.
Ran out of room and have a quick opportunity to pick up something on my want list.
Message me for pics/video, check out my ratings. I plan on putting an ad up when I get around to taking pics.
For anyone wanting a Bond Premium, I have mine for sale for (relatively) cheap. Check out my ad. Great game, just getting a different one to mix it up.
Quoted from Nicholastree:That’s interesting. I have the impression Bond is gaining momentum while JP, example, is losing it.
On pinside marketplace here is a quick comparison of machines up for sale or trade:
James Bond: 12 LEs, 12 premiums, 11 pros
Jurassic Park: 2 LEs, 30 premiums, 14 pros
JP machines still command higher median prices, but the gap has narrowed in the last three months.
For comparison
Deadpool: 1LE, 10 premiums, 11 pros.
For anyone wanting a Bond Premium, I have mine for sale for (relatively) cheap. Check out my ad. Great game, just getting a different one to mix it up.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:How did you hook up your two spike2 games to the polk? speaker inputs of the polk or rca in?
I had help with a fellow pinsider on this one. There are multiple topics in the forum.
There are multiple ways.
Here is one of them.
I used a line converter,
https://www.amazon.com/PAC-SNI-35-Variable-Line-Converter/dp/B001EAWS3W/ref=sr_1_8
some cheap speaker wire (walmart $8 for 4 pins worth), Male RCA and Male 1/4" adapters to speaker wire, and some small alligator clips. I also bought a 4-input low noise mixer for $25. Total cost to hook 3 pins side by side up to 1 monster sub located under the middle pin was $75. (cost does not include the sub itself).
The benefit of this route is each line converter clips onto the terminals of the cabinet sub, I can adjust each crossover and volume and also adjust volumes on the mixer which I set on top of the sub. I also have headphone jacks of the front of my sterns from PB life. When I adjust the volume on the front of the machine everything stays balanced, also when I plug my headphones in, the sub isn't active as there is no signal to the cabinet sub.
Quoted from mbeardsley:I agree, people make the same choice because usually one choice is always better then the other, so they always choose the "good" one.
Or, the choice doesn't matter, so they just choose the default.
Rarely do you really want choice A in one situation and choice B in another.
Yeah, guardians is a lot like that, always start the same way, rarely diverge from the same start. I liked how in rush you could change your mode, with more shots to a certain color, or with the dangerous behind the drops shot. Made you think twice about changing modes. However, choose your own music at the beginning of a ball, I love that.
