Move to new building ?

I’m so glad I’m over the FOMO express .That being said , I will have a decision to make which starts tonight watching they’re new movie as I just seen the bus in the trailer (i’d bet same style with a different storyline) and ends next week with the sizzle clips .I do not need a stream on this one as I have 100%confidence in JD coming out swinging .This new blood at Stern (designers ,coders , mechanical engineers ) the last 5 years is really sitting well with me .I just will need to decide next week to sell a game to fund a LE straight away or put a deposit down on a 2nd run prem so I can keep what we have and add to it I’m 95% sure I will own this pin it’s just when .

Has anyone noticed the premium and LE cabinet art is almost the same?

I ordered a prem and if both sides of the cabinet are the same ,I’m thinking of buying a set of the pros to put on one side .I like the art on these that much If anyone else wants to do the same lmk we’ll split the price

GZ LEs are the only one recently that seemed to flip for profit .Hopefully that is over with but we’re still at flipper pricing haha .I’d much rather Stern gets the $ if they keep slinging out pins like this

I’ve had them on LZ and Rush .They’re cool but I’ve lost interest in them as are .I’d much rather see them vertical like a EQ maybe even mimic your EQ setting just using the whole spectrum of colors .

I would love to see Stern offer actual backglass for the pros and premiums with the same artwork as the trim level .I’m sure LE owners wouldn’t mind

Everyone counts shots differently but no matter which way you do ,this has plenty of them and nothing seems too tight .The more I look at this layout ,the more blown away I get

Is the van where you start modes ? One other question not pertaining to this 8th wonder ,does anyone know of the pinball stereo single kit that handles up to 5 pins on it ? I was reading about it one day and didn’t screen shot it .I’ve been looking ever since but can’t find it anywhere .Pinwoofer is Top Notch sound but I can’t afford one for every pin .

Wasn’t a fan of the green at first and I enjoy personalizing premiums but it looks slick as F. IMO it looks like GZ has a legitimate challenger .Sky’s the limit with this one once I heard RD was teaming with Tonio my alarms went off .Just getting to watch the stream now on a bit WOW!!

Anyone else think (or hoping) Rush sales stopped so saved expression lighting parts for FFs prems ?

I’m pretty sure the reason they’re not talking about band callouts is that they’re rumored to be in the studio recording right now .I’d imagine that would take precedence over pinball callouts There is hope but I’m not going to think about it as I can’t find a single thing to nit pick .My only regret is that I wasn’t ready for a LE but there’s nothing to complain about here ,I enjoy customizing Prems .

I’ll bet we’re getting callouts at some point but it will not affect this game one bit either way .I just feel they’re the type of people who would finish the job .They seem to be sincerely devoted to tgeyre fans .

I can’t blame them right now as they’re all sitting on games with slow sales that have the new price hike AND are going against some Behemoths for a piece of the pie .It doesn’t make sense to me but who am I ? I wonder if eventually they’re able to sell them at “Sale Pricing” as they have a floor I believe .I think pinball “blue light specials “ would be great for the hobby .Maybe before a pin is retired have a small run at ruduced prices in a lottery or waiting list type setup .

The smart thing to do would be leave a spot open at home with cash ready at all times .Something like this pops and your ready to roll .Then sell one off and replenish the nest .Now ask me if I listen to my “inner smart guy” lmao .

I do not put blame on Distros at all .I put it squarely on the manufactures, period .The latest price jumps were too much ,too quick and I’m sure the Distros are as pissed ,or even more so than us consumers .They’re all sitting on inventory that they had to pay a certain price for ,and have a floor price to sell at .Now everyone ,including myself ,have to up they’re prices on used games to afford the NIBs and when the used market slams the breaks as we’re seeing now ,everybody loses .Take a game I truly loved having at home ,a LZ prem .We vote in my house on what comes and goes .My kids had the “nothing to do “ vibe with LZ and I have to agree ,there’s nothing innovative in that pin (just a great old fashioned pinball machine)therefore a GZ had to cost more to plan and build is this correct ? Even though I thought the art was fitting on Zep ,I have to take in account I’m old and a huge fan .The art had to be much more $ on a GZ or IMDN and fittingly so ,it’s awesome and I stare at GZ/IMDN constantly .I’ve seen the Zep album covers many ,many times so can we agree the artwork had to be more on the 2 ZYs mentioned? The third part would be the big ? , how much more did LZ want for the use of their license than TOHO ? I have no clue but this all being said , should a NIB LZ prem and a GZ prem be the same price right now ? Lastly ,as far as Stern goes (I’m so close to buying only from Stern and PBs) there is now 2 Gary’s to pay the big barrel of cash to .Things were great when there was one imo All this said ,Im in on FFs first run prem and I’m quietly hoping my game up in the market will not sell .I’ll just have to take a beating from my wife but I’ve prevailed before and I will again because Men Rule haha !

I can just speak for myself ,but plain and simple I’m addicted to pinball We all are and they know it .I mean where are we to go for games on Sterns level ?Here ,thats it .Ive only purchased 1Stern LE and it was from a second hand dealer .He was really cool (we still chat here and there ) and the price was good so it wasn’t a bad experience at all .As far as price increase’s and pinheads buying them there’s only one thing that can derail that and it for a good portion of us to throw in the towel when funds are not available for the purchase .I know I’m damn close .I’m trying to sell a game I normally wouldn’t want to sell right now but that’s what I have to do to get the new shiny (cmon ,there’s zero chance FF is not an all timer ) .Like ai said earlier the smart way is to sell a game during down time and have funds ready but God forbid I have a open spot haha. I think it’ safe to say prices will halt for quite some time wouldn’t you think ?

I Couldn’t be any happier that the first run of prems is only 4-7 weeks away .I have such a comfortable vibe going on with this “No Brainer” of a pin meaning it’s not Hype ,it’s Comfy :)I’m still looking to trade the 1k deposit and our MET prem that’s here in Market for a LE if anyone is interested please lmk .

I’ve liked/disliked upper playfields in the past but this one doesn’t seem to block sight to much from the players perspective on the stream .There’s a lot to do up there for a small space and it flows fast through the area to the wireform if you chose not to flip up there .Looks like a good one .

Has anyone heard about when the prems are expected to get on the line? Yeah I’m really ,really psyched to 1)visually lay eyes on it 2)hear the full audio package with a little upgrade 3)watch this story play out on the screen 4)get a fast/flowy upper playfield at home ,I really miss having one (WOZ,Family Guy) 5)start studying the rules like I should’ve when I still had a chance and most of all I really need to FLIP DA FOO !

Wow ,what a splash by all these manufacturers with some great options out there .After watching everything over and over. I’m feeling very comfortable today to be rolling on the Foo Train !

The hype train has turned to relaxed mode for me .Many great looking choices all at once but I’m feeling very confident in FFs to the point it’s a afterthought .For me ,this one hit all the senses .The artwork along with the original storyline seem to blend perfect. I would not have jumped on this game this early if it was a “concert” pin .As far as the shots in this game let’s face it , its a no brainer . From what I heard during the stream ,I’m liking what they’re doing with code for instance in area 51 ,you’re up there with a purpose looking for info on the Alien and if you don’t need to ,it flows through just like the pro .This upper looks more like it’s just part of the main playfield than others meaning it doesn’t seem to cause any lost space at all .You have the “flow thru” , then a added 2 loops (1 with a spinner ) , 3 targets ,and a kickback (I believe it’s a kickback ) .After watching the stream I asked myself “what more can I possibly want in a pin “.

I like that they’re only allowing 8 choices during single ball play and the rest exclusive to modes and mb’s. I’ve always said this is the way to create pinball moments .

I don’t know about you guys , but Fuck am I happy to have jumped in on the first run of FFs .I’ll just leave it at that

I put that order in 5 minutes into the stream and never looked back on this one .I want one more from the crop of ‘23 but not sure yet on any of those .This IS the only no brainer in the group imo

And will add the FF’s emblem on the flipper guards .

The upper was the nail in the coffin for me .I love that they incorporate a big loop with a kickback that you earn ,a small loop with spinner , and targets that face you .They pack it well in a medium sized upper .It doesn’t seem you lose any space and I’d imagine the premium loses no steam to the pro when you let the ball pass.It seems like it’s back on the right flipper pretty damn quick

How many pins does Stern build a week now ? No rush but you know , I really want this prem to land

I had so much confidence in this pin, I sold our Met Prem to purchase the prem …..and rent a house on the ocean in a Gulf Shores for the whole family Just got back ,what a great place to vacation .I’m a professional when it comes to keeping my wife happy with the pins taking up most our home theatre room .Gotta do what you gotta Foo ! I’ve had a Met Pro and Prem so the MOP will arrive here one day .Probably a retirement gift to myself in 9 years Now get this pin delivered !!!

.I have not liked many uppers ,but with a spinner ,2 loops ,2 stand ups and 1 kickback to go along with a pass through it just seems this will flo well and I’m liking what I’m hearing about how they’re using it with the story .The death save is just a bonus

Very true .I still miss that game more than any other we’ve had .The kids didn’t like it .The old “nothing to do “ was what I was told .I think it’s a true pinball machine and will have one again someday .

I love me some LZ .Straight pinball , no BS .I sold our prem because kids weren’t playing said “nothing to do “ . Yeah nothing to do ….minus ripping killer pinball shots and perhaps the baddest spinner in all of pinball ! I’ll get another one day .I also sold RushLE for GZprem and now MET prem for FFprem .All this while Alien LV stays here .Go figure .If you have not played a true Alien LV with all the tweaks sorted out and pitched to high heaven you don’t know what your missing ,mostly now at used pricing .Also I leave that spot (of 4 total ) for something other than a modern Stern .I’m at 4 until both kids get sorted and they’re only 14/15 .I couldn’t manage more than that now anyway .We’ll, 5 is the actual limit I was given haha

With the premiums , there is some similarity but you can probably take any 2 Sterns and find some parts that are close to each other and I’d imagine the upper PF will set them apart .If they end up being too similar one will have to go eventually for me anyway ,but I’ll cross that bridge if I ever get to it

This kind of bickering never happened in the Love Fest which was Rush pinball .Be happy for one and all ,these are great times in this hobby and these baby’s are about to start landing in homes

I’m not going to wish for anything and just let Team Danger do they’re thing .That being said ,I don’t know why it would be disrespectful to use Taylor’s voice (if they chose to)as it’s embedded in history within thousands of interview’s and home video out for the public to take in anyway .Our LE is shipping to the distro first for inspection (a first for me ,pretty cool of them ) so I’m hoping it gets there today to have a shot of having it by Saturday .It’s a long shot but it’s always nice to have a glimmer of hope Congrats to all with busy landing pads today !

Hearing there’s a delay on LEs now .Stern hoping to ship next week .Man I despise the word “hoping” in pinball haha .Looks like they got some out but something is holding things up .Oh well , I’ve waited a whole lot longer for other pins and have been blowing up GZ on a regular basis finally so see y’all next week .

Funny ,I know people count shots in different ways but this has more than any other Stern on the main playfield .Then add the upper and there’s nothing even close to it ,at least the way I count but I would imagine it would be the same for anyone who tried to .Not everyone will like this game ,it’s impossible but bare ? What did you come up with haha .I’m at 23 main and 6 upper with my unique method .For comparison ,GZ is 19 main and IMDN 18 all Prem /LE.
