About a month ago I was at my local pin bar. Someone was playing Stranger Things. Hopper started saying "bastard" over and over again. I have never herd that mode ever and I have never herd it since. Im guessing if they want F bombs they could hide it that way you could earn it.

The side art says the figures speak 10 classic phrases. Would make sense that purchasable action figures would unlock call outs.

There was indeed a lot of speak around action figures and callouts for the topper...a pokemon scenario, unfortunately.

The idea of Stern releasing action figures which add callouts is giving me strong Nintendo Amiibo vibes. I don't think it's happening, but it is an interesting idea. Plus if they put a NFC reader in the game they could do Apple/Google Pay and credit card transactions for operators. (I wonder if Stern IC would ever be expanded to include a payment system for location credits)

The nice thing about Nintendo Amiibos were they were incredibly easy to write the Amiibo data to cheap blank NFC cards if you didn't care about the collectible figure but wanted what it unlocks in games.

Here's my guess: Action figures that plug into the topper are all but officially announced. Its been hinted that these figures will add more into the game/topper. My bet is that adding them will add in callouts from the band. Or maybe you collect all of them and the band callouts are unlocked. Something of that nature. Seems like a cool concept but I also am not a huge fan of the idea of having to buy a (probably) insanely priced topper, then also a series of action figures all separately to complete it.

Idk.. Rush has song modes too and you can still pick any of those 15 songs at the start of the game. Seems like a waste to limit it to just 8 on FF.

This is the vibe I get as well.

During the stream I asked the engineer and the lead coder about this specifically and their response was “wow, what a great idea. We’ll have to think about that (awkward laughter)”.

So, yeah I think this is what is planned. Could be unlocking call outs, could be unlocking game modes or character specific power-ups, could change something about how the topper functions or acts, etc.

No one is offended by adult language & no one has ever been cancelled for saying “fuck”. Just saying that it’s a bit weird in a game that’s pretending to be a kids cartoon. Believe me, I’m turning adult settings on lol, I don’t care…my Rick & Morty calls me a piece of shit on the reg.

They way they responded, something it up for sure there regarding the call outs. Could just be they have't recorded them yet, but seemed more secret than that.

The topper also adds functionality of some kind based on the way they talked about it.

Usually when a company states this, it's a good thing. When Stern says it, I fear what new costly add-on is coming next.

I’m pretty sure the reason they’re not talking about band callouts is that they’re rumored to be in the studio recording right now .I’d imagine that would take precedence over pinball callouts There is hope but I’m not going to think about it as I can’t find a single thing to nit pick .My only regret is that I wasn’t ready for a LE but there’s nothing to complain about here ,I enjoy customizing Prems .

I’ll bet we’re getting callouts at some point but it will not affect this game one bit either way .I just feel they’re the type of people who would finish the job .They seem to be sincerely devoted to tgeyre fans .

I kinda feel the same..given a choice? LE, however I'm really a 'premium' guy at heart..and I want to customize the powder coat color, other than green. The green doesn't do it for me (I might go yellow with sparkles in it, who knows). The very important thing about a premium is the 'ability' to have the expression lighting..I'll be a first day purchaser on that, esp considering the supply/demand. And I saved over 3K (yeah, we are both justifying here ) As long as I have that upper playfield, I'm good!

lol..But to your callout comment, and everyone else that craves callouts, I'd personally do NOT want band member callouts..actually brings me into the story more..but maybe I'm the unicorn with that mindset. I like the pin and animations do most of the work (think IM). That's better in my book (in certain cases). I'm not a rock pin guy, (and this will be my first)..so if it's more 'Attack from Marsy', the better.

I can’t blame them right now as they’re all sitting on games with slow sales that have the new price hike AND are going against some Behemoths for a piece of the pie .It doesn’t make sense to me but who am I ? I wonder if eventually they’re able to sell them at “Sale Pricing” as they have a floor I believe .I think pinball “blue light specials “ would be great for the hobby .Maybe before a pin is retired have a small run at ruduced prices in a lottery or waiting list type setup .

I uploaded the Blender + obj. Yes all parts are individual. Any 3D objects not broken up, you should be in any 3D software to select linked/floating. In blender if you select a single vertex and hit "L" it will select all connected verts and you can separate parts yourself into other objects if need to.

All Stern cares about is that it's not sold below MSRP.

I thought about doing the van too, but there are some possible usable ones out there if you search free 3D van. I'm not even getting a Foo game but the alien guy is pretty cool and figured people would enjoy.
