I had this on cd back in the 90’s. Glad they reissued it. I remember seeing an OG copy at a record store in Berlin in 2010 and being surprised in how pricey it was. Only thing missing is the fun commentary between songs on the cd. At that same shop I did grab a copy of the The Cure Japanese Whispers that was much more affordable.
Quoted from gonzo73:Heres a heads up...
Rhino announced today the next two HiFi reissues...
Black Sabbath debut
And Devo Freedom of Choice.
Both are up for order/sale at Rhino website now.
I ordered the Sabbath.
My guess both will sell out quick, so get to it...
Received the Sabbath. Listening as we speak. Really like this pressing.... Nice and quiet... So glad you mentioned it.

Sorry, but do you have any updates on these albums? I sent a PM and haven't heard anything, maybe they're gone?
Quoted from tiltmonster:Sorry, but do you have any updates on these albums? I sent a PM and haven't heard anything, maybe they're gone?
Terribly sorry; I still have them, I’m just behind on snapping photos and researching values. (I got sidetracked by other things today.)
I’ll get back to you soon.

I have some Funkadelic.
The Parliament DVD is a blast! Chocolate City!
FYI, Looks like Musician's Friend/Guitar Center are clearing out some old Shure stuff. Nice deal on the M97xE, M44G and some styli.

NP, I picked up one as I have become quite the Shure fan of late and was looking for an M97xE to add to the collection. The prices I have seen have been around 3x that lately.

Rhino HiFi Black Sabbath.
Sounds great, dead silent Wax.
Geezers Bass has never sounded better.
These Rhino HiFi releases and MOV releases are the best Value in Vinyl.

Sweet! I think mine is lost in the FedEx quagmire, they have the slowest shipping, I bought several albums from Rhino and they are all delayed. I just hope they actually get delivered... Enjoy!

Hearing things I never heard before when listening. Its just so good. I hope they keep it going and release all the Sabbath albums this way....
Well, this was a pleasant surprise, FedEx tracking sucks and Rhino shipped in 2 separate packages both arrived today
I won't have time to test them out for about a week or so but I'm looking forward to listening to all of them.
I hope Rhino keep releasing these High Fidelity Pressings, I missed out on a few that I wish had bought...

Side note, appreciate you constantly listing stuff you're finding on sale. Picked up several of them so, thanks!
Quoted from meSz:Side note, appreciate you constantly listing stuff you're finding on sale. Picked up several of them so, thanks!
You are very welcome
Most the stuff I find every day is newer hits, and probably not anything Pinside would like.
But once a week or so there is some stuff that fits our demographic
Quoted from Fulltilt:Dead classics so you don’t forget. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I admire your Pin collection so much, your taste in whiskey is great, love the Sopranos avatar, but I just don't get the Dead. It gives me an idea for a poll: "What band/artist does not click with you."
Maybe vid1900 can help since he's the master of polls on here. I shouldn't be hopeful on the internet but I really feel some good banter between fans of a band and those who haven't drank the kool-aid could be pretty cool. I've listened to plenty of Dead as a kid in the 90s, but I just don't know which live tracks to listen to. On the flip side, I know and love Dave Matthews Band. Seen them a few times and I have my favorite live tracks. Just no interest in Grateful Dead or Phish, even a Ween for example. Some replies with suggestions on a thread would be a cool starting place. Or you can just tell me "you wouldn't understand" and we all move on
You guys might get a kick out of this. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find someone to rebuild my idler wheels for this Nivico TT I have been working on. I finally gave up and decided to try and give it my best shot of making new ones. Whipped up some prototypes in Fusion and got some ball bearings from Grainger. The big red rubber is just a flipper rubber. Works great! Much, much quieter than it was before. No rumble at all and speeds are spot on. Pretty happy with the result.

I would start with the Family Dog at the Great Highway / Mickey and the Heartbeats 4 /18 /70.
or one of the famed 77 shows from the first week of May.
If you need more Cowboy Tunes, checkout 74-76.
If you want some Mutron infused Disco flavored Dead...79.

Thanks for the recs man. I appreciate it!
OK.. I run all vintage stereo gear..
So when something suddenly starts sounding Wonky, I immediately jump to the conclusion a 50 year old part is going bad...
My Kenwood suddenly got quiet last night, sounded like it lost 50% power.
Then the right channel started Crapping in and out.
I jiggled knobs, upped the volume, gave it a slap on the side, nothing changed.
So I turn it off, and start unplugging it, to hook up the Technics sa-700, as I just got a load of new records I wanted to play.
I look to the right as the Record de'qued... giant Fur Ball on the Stylus... like you find in the lint trap on your dryer.
Dummy.
Check the simple things first.
Kenwood is fine.
