Quoted from smassa:

You just confirmed it....Now what are you gonna do about it? Nothing Illegal about it if Stern sets a minimum price allowed to sell their product.

Actually, it could be illegal if they set a minimum price. However, i doubt that is what Stern or any other company mentioned is doing. Usually they accomplish the same result through different methods.

Quoted from smassa:

No its not illegal. ....."Price fixing is permitted in some markets but not others; where allowed, it is often known as resale price maintenance or retail price maintenance."
Thats a direct quote from Wiki on the matter. I really doubt the pinball industry falls under the area of concern for congress on the matter.

Wow, wikipedia is your source. It must be right. My source is the Sherman Act and the 2007 US Supreme Court Decision in Leegin Creative Leather Products. If you want a wikipedia article to read, at least read this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resale_price_maintenance

I will concede that it is not ALWAYS illegal, however even legal scholars are not sure where you are and aren't allowed to do it now. So my point is still valid. Most companies, do not blatantly set a minimum price, they use other methods.

Quoted from Silverballer:

Can anyone clarify/verify all of this for me? As I understand it, besides the 2-d translite the new runs will have red led displays, metal pins, no lightbikes and a 1-slot coindoor?

No 1 slot coindoor, that is the LE. There has been no confirmation regarding lightbikes, but if it is like mine from the last run, you should have an orange light bike and the light runner, as opposed to a blue and yellow light bike. Not sure what you mean by metal pins...

Quoted from pinballlooking:

I really like the latch better. I usually don’t even latch them. Then you can just lift the bar and slide out the glass. When they are latched the bar fits better. It is a better design. Now the pegs I don’t like those.
Give the latch a chance I bet you will like it.

My latch-bar doesn't fit that well, it is very snug and doesn't sit all the way down unless you latch it.

Quoted from BLACK_ROSE:

I just Finished install-n my Hallmark Light cycles , I soldered Each on to a GI .. lOOks Better than those Factory Lil-bitty's !!

The voltage on the GI of the pro is too high for the lightcycles.

Quoted from justjoe13:

Here are the numbers so far.. this is pretty interesting.. Please people, post your Serial #.. if I have to have a non-official registry here... I am thinking about it.

The IPSND already tracks pinball serial numbers:

http://www.ipsnd.net/View.aspx?id=5682

It may be more helpful to encourage people to register their serial numbers there.
