The playfield looks pretty nice from his pictures. Backglass may have some flaking in the letters but I can't tell. Front of cabinet looks good. For $500, it's a good deal for a good game. Probably spoken for by now - it was posted 7 hrs. ago.

Price is high on this, but I searched for a long time for this title in decent shape, and finally got one a few months ago. Not an easy game to find!
Another El Toro:

I think someone is confused on the year of their pin. And value.
You guy's keep heckling El Toro. Back in the day it was the shiny new game at Pizza Pub. I actually enjoyed it even though it took all my money and my Stingray got jacked. I may have to get an El Toro and a shiny gold Schwinn just to prove my point.

Yeah Rob, we're used to that.

Anyone want to guess what this Strange World is worth?
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/ad/14745
Because I have no clue.
Strange World gets a high price mostly because they aren't too common and they have a way out art package. I played one not too long ago and it wasn't that great of a player. Probably around $1500 or more is what they would want, but to me it is just another $700- $800 machine.
i paid 900 canadian for my huo strange world ... i actually really like the game play as it is so different from my other wedge heads, and i always put all the posts etc to most difficult settings which helps in my opinion too .. for what its worth
Quoted from RobT:I'm sure many members of Pinside and in particular those who frequent the EM portion of the forum have noticed that our friend Chris, username ccotenj, has not posted for about 2 months.
I had sent him a PM a few weeks back, asking where he had been and how he was doing. I received a reply from him today, and Chris wanted me to let you all know that he has been dealing with some medical issues that he has been working through. He has made substantial improvements in the last week, and he hopes to be able to feel up to posting again soon.
Chris is a really good guy and a real asset to the forum.
Sorry I'm late to the party. Was on travel and out of comms on the high seas with the Navy.
I talked to Chris last weekend. He sounds good and just needs some more rest and relaxation.
I may try and go see him later this week or next weekend.
Before we know it he'll be back on the forum with a hundred posts a day.
I'll keep everyone in the loop.

One of my favorite machines.
My buddy bought one new in 1978. His grandmother owned a corner store and it was a route store for a company called Roth Novelty in Wilkes-Barre PA. They always had 2 machines in there and seemed to change them once a month on a split scale. SO a new machine every 2 weeks.
He just graduated from high school and it was a present to himself. He still has it and it still plays like new.

Sounds like a nice machine. A little out of my price range. I like to get them cheap and fix them up.
This is only about 10 min from me so if anyone would like me to go and check it out let me know.

$100 Williams Travel Time
I have been trying to decide if I would rather have an El Toro or a Strange World. And to tell you the truth El Toro has the slight edge. But neither makes me want to go out of my way to get either.

That's not really worth $2500 is it? I still need to learn how to price EMs. I can give you a pretty accurate ballpark with just about any DMD title, but I'm deep off in the woods when it comes to trying to guestimate for EMs.
Quoted from Aurich:That's not really worth $2500 is it?
It is a desirable title, but the one I had and sent to rat tomato was nicer original condition, although this one looks to be in fine shape, was under 2k.
Quoted from Aurich:That's not really worth $2500 is it?
It's been repainted, so no.

I'd sell mine for that!! Mine has a mint playfield & backglass!!

Nothing like original patina. That's what I look for.
I bet you could fix that one right up boilerman. Me, I don't have the skills. But I can sure make them run!
