I'll be in the market very soon for a new pin once one shows up local, but none of those would be it.

Too rich for my blood!

Got that right Prmailers^^^^^Ouch.
Thousands of antiques for sale at great prices. <<<<<<<<< That right there means a wee bit of a mark-up.
Give me the more broken ones (ie: lower priced Pins )

#5 11 years ago

Couple o nice pins in that group.

Maybe theres a bulk deal for 10 big

#6 11 years ago

This is what I look for> newjersey.craigslist.org link
Granted its not the best player but cheap for the buck.

#7 11 years ago

^^^ I was going to buy that, but I picked up the firepower instead.

#8 11 years ago
Quoted from Prmailers:

Good choice on the Firepower!^^^^ but for parts that Darling might be useful to someone.

It would be hard for me to take a machine that is close to operating and in decent shape to vulturize <(if thats a word!) it for parts than to either keep it intact or flip it after a service/clean-up.

That's how I feel with an EM. Could not even do it with a cracked Playfield and trashed Backglass, as all the mechanical parts were there and it worked so when I sold my Williams King Pin it was to a guy who was going to get her going again and not part it out.

I like my Jubliee(4 player darling) but it definitely needs at least 2 players to be fun.

I just picked up a 100$ Motordome on fri. NOt an EM but hell if i could pass that up

Way to go Jeff!

I'm the same way if I see a complete pin for $100.00.

Wasnt bashing the Darling ^^^^ the price of the Darling might seem like a parts machine in $$$ compared to the prices of the ones at the Antique dealer
Was thinking someone seeing that price might snag it and either fix it/keep it or go the other route.

Compared to ^^^^ some Beer prices thats a steal.

Exactly^^^^

A gottlieb centigrade 37 came up on omaha Craigslist at 11:45 on Friday. I didn't see it until 12:45. Called on it ready to buy and the guy said it sold within ten minutes and the buyer had already picked it up. Wanna know why????? $200!! That's why! And it looked to be in pretty fair condition. Still frustrated that I missed it!

Sorry you missed out.

Can't do anything about that Pafasa as it is like winning the lottery on that one unless you plan to camp out on Craigs List 24/7 from now on.

I know right?? I started sweating as soon as I saw the ad. Called and left a message and then freaked out for a whole minute or two before I called back and he answered. That's when the big letdown hit.

At least you got in touch with him, worse when they only have the cryptic CL mail alias and you never hear back. ($400 Jacks Open nearby last week!)

#20 11 years ago

This one would go well next to a Playboy machine.

Sometimes we get a little too much sun on our heads out here.

#25 11 years ago

I hope that's the case, I wouldn't waste my time on a project that far in disrepair and abused. At one time, I used to try to save every game, I've learned to be more selective now. Some games are just parts donars for other games with a better chance of survival. I'm in Cali too BTW.

I used to do the same thing with cars. What a waste.

Local deal of the day for me...........oh boy!

Looks like the seller is trying to strike it rich in Boise from a sap.

boise.craigslist.org link

I wrote and told them I bought my Klondike for $450 in Boise 6 months ago so they should re-think their selling price...........no response from the seller to me of course.

Ken

#28 11 years ago

EM, but look at the backglass, it's got to be worth 2K right? LOL

#29 11 years ago

Backglass looks nice! Also the custom artwork on the side of the cabinet!

#30 11 years ago

Is this the same one that has chocked up billions of karma points on the forum?

Ask him if the Ghetto graffiti on the cabinet adds to the inflated price. hahahaha

Here's a great classic find for someone. Based on photos it looks in fine shape.
I'd snatch this up in a minute if I only had the cash:

Cool, I dig Hula Hula. Everyone associates Roy Parker with Gottlieb but he actually did the art for Chicago Coin's Hula Hula before Paradise and Pleasure Isle. I'd be happy to add any of them to my collection.

There's been about four EM's for sale in my area this month, but none of them are what I want.

Everything I do want is either 6-1/2 to 8 hours for a one way drive, no thanks.

I could have picked up a nice Bally Hi-Deal for $500.00, like the layout, but the artwork is just too cartoon/childish for me. I would rather have a Hang Glider even though it is a multiplayer.

#38 11 years ago

Wow- move the machine one county and the price triples!

It's so faded that you need to change the name of that one to Pink Baron.

Safari's lookin' good! I just went to pick up a Sea Ray, but as pretty as that backglass is all lit up, the playfield and cabinet just needed to much work. So I passed.

Yes it does, and no noticeable salt damage!

#47 11 years ago

Seems like the best deals are not on the web these days........too much competition an sellers have all tuned into 'man-tique' shows. Word of mouth thru other pinheads seems better.

#48 11 years ago

Still haven't got a free one yet but my best deal was a $50 '76 Royal Flush on CL. They were converting their game room area to an exercise room in the basement. They had 2 pins side by side. There was the non-working RF that broke down a year prior that I bought and right next to it was a Bally title that was working - they wanted $1000 for it.

Saw a Straight Flush for $25 in Des Moines yesterday. Was being sold as is for parts or could be repaired. Gone now.

#50 11 years ago

Craigslist seems to be unusually full of people who a) don't know the difference between a pinball machine and a pachinko machine, and b) are trying to sell a pachinko machine.
