Quoted from jalkelly:

I'm in but not a fan of the gold trim either. Think I will murder it out Medieval Blackness style!

Me neither....and it tarnishes anyway. I'd rather see a nice custom powercoat color from Alex. I ordered at the Pinball Sales site, and it was just the $1000 deposit. However...my invoice number is over 1000 so I may have gotten shut out already!
Good luck to all. Getting a non-le later is not a big thing since you can add the shaker and whatever color trim you want to do yourself. Maybe Jack will give us a deal on the invisiglass.

New questions for anyone who completed a preorder at pinballsales.com:
* Did you get a confirmation screen and order number?
* Did you get a confirmation email?
My friend got neither...

I got an order number and an order code on the confirmation screen. No confirmation email yet, but I'm sure they are too busy to deal with that right now.

Regarding the possibility of 1000 orders already....its certainly not impossible. How many would Wayne have taken for the Aussies? Would 200 sound right? Add what few pre-orders he still had deposits from. Then if 10 dealers across the US order 20 each there goes another 200. The guys at Expo had to be good for 50 - 100 before the day is done. Add in a few flippers ordering multiples. Thats 500+ accounted for already, but granted its all speculation.

But is Europe still sleeping? If so they don't even know the news yet. I'm sure somebody over their is waking up their friends with middle of the night phone calls.

I'm gonna go get a case of beer to have ready this evening with some fresh popcorn. This is going to be interesting to watch unfold!

If Rick had not bought the rights to Williams this would NEVER have been done and the people who put their money down would have been screwed. Now, so far everyone who has asked for a refund has gotten one so far but how long would that last and how long has Wayno had their money and getting interest off of it.

Um...I think about 5 or 6 years now. I got my refund a few years ago.

Wow! So it looks like Jack sold 300 MMs already today. Yup...buyers will be flipping them before delivery.

Its nice that so many people who wanted a MM will now be able to afford them. The high end collectors will still be high end collectors and will pay a premium for an original unmolested game. But the prices of the mid to lower level quality games will take a minor hit. There are still lots of pinheads who enjoy bringing a game back to its original condition.

There is no way all of us will agree if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But if many titles go to the selling block at lower prices due to the fear of game values going down it will bring more people into the hobby in the long run. Eventually they will also want to increase the size and quality of their collection and prices will eventually go back up due to lack of supply and the fact that new games never get any cheaper.

For those who are only in this hobby to make money sell now at panic prices and the rest of us will buy some nice games. For those of us who bought our games to play it makes no difference. We will continue to enjoy our games and maybe buy some more.

As someone said earlier in these forums....."you did'nt rush to sell your house when prices crashed did you?" So lets just enjoy our games and be happy for the opportunity to buy a game that was previously out of some pinheads price ranges. And if you are one of the lucky ones who scored a game before they got sold out congratulations! If you missed out sit tight because they said they will make more standard versions later. You can always add a shaker or change the color of your siderails and legs. If you are a top notch game collector don't worry about it. Eventually someone will work their way up the food chain of collectors and the price of a purist quality game will not be an issue for them if you decide to sell.

Enjoy the silver orb brothers. Its a good time to be in pinball.....

Anyone know if Pinballsales will accept a credit card for the additional 7K? I'm not crazy about paying all $8000 in cash (check) and I'm wondering if I should of went with a different distributor. Or are they all cash only?

My email from Jen said to send a check for $1000 within 7 days. I had ordered from their site with the $1000 deposit on the credit card. I'm glad to hear they are running it that way. I hate to see the the credit card companies making the money instead of Jack.
My thanks to gearheadroppings for the phone call while I was out of the house after lunch....I ended up being order #1084 at about 1:30PM. Hopefully that will be early enough to beat the sell out from PinballSales.

If they could find a way to bring this for 5k dollar, the marcet would have exploded, haha .
But i like it, been discussed before in several topics, would not work bla bla bla.
bullshit! 1000 selled in a few hours. Of course it works when you rerun #1 of all time.
Now bring on TAF and all other old top pins.

Oh yea! A new TAF would be sweet! Its hard to believe that they made so many of them at the time, but they are still such a popular game. Its not just the theme, but they did a great presentation of it. Its entertaining to the new players, yet a challange to the better players. And somehow the theme of it just never gets old. It appeals to more generations than MM actually. The star trek theme is the same thing. But......I won't even get into that mess.

I prerdered one so quickly but I'm now having second thoughts. For $7.5k The Hobbit in my mind shares some cool features from MM but is taken further with more toys, RGB LED lighting, is a wide body, has two more flippers, the LCD, stereo sound, deeper rules with Keith and Ted on board and more. To pay $500 more for MM is not making sense to my wallet right now.
Then again I could just get both and get a second job for a few months, lol.

Very valid points and the 2nd job thingy gives me nightmares about all the years I did the same thing. I'm SO glad those days are over! Lemme know when your WOZ comes in and I'll show you how easy things are with the Escalara.

Haha! I would like to. Here's the funny thing. I talked to my wife about it and said we may need to sell TZ or ACDC Premium to get it. She doesn't want me to sell either one of those as she really enjoys both so she said to just buy MM and have it be a new addition to the collection. I would still need that second job for a few months, haha.

Sweet! You got her where you want her now....I did that yesterday by stopping by Abel and letting her play WOZLE! Unfortunately we were on the way to where she wanted to go (the casino). Oh well, give and take.
I got the email from Jen to send a check within 7 days. Glad to hear JJP is going that way to avoid service charges on credit cards.
By the way. It looks as if Jack has started another company to run this through (Jack Guarnieri Service Co). That is where the check gets written to. With my limited knowlege of running a business this makes sense. I'd say he has some pretty good tax advisors. Maybe he has had that company running for awhile too though so don't slam me for passing on the info to where the check gets written to. Just sayin....this whole thing is obviously separate from JJP.

Interesting as I am #1083 and I got a confirmation but I did not get an e-mail about sending in a check. Hope to hear from Jen on Monday.

It took awhile for mine to come through. I'm sure yours will be OK.

New pins are all over the freaking place.....

Yes...and how are the manufacturers going to respond to get an upper hand on their competition?

ok... you win
the brass ball tracks in there look amazing. wish the new MM LE's had those.

By the time we trick out these new models we might have wished we bought a beautiful restored game.

#680 10 years ago

Uh oh...looks like I mighta gotten jacked too at number 1084. I sent the check out saturday but did not get an email today and never thought about checking the site. I assume they will have a waiting list for those that want the LE since there are bound to be some cancellations due to orders from multiple vendors, buyers remorse, pissed off wives etc. No big thing....either it happens or it does'nt. If I can't buy the max for the lowest price I'm out. Just trying to minimize my losses someday later on.
This rollout was as bad as Obamacare. Planetary definately was not ready for this much response. Hopefully someone ahead of me will change their mind. I'd guess they are kicking themselves in the butt now for not pricing them higher.

Every low order number today got an invoice. Did you check your spam folder? Did you ever get the initial confirmation?
If so, they just missed you. I would call if you have the original email to prove you are indeed 1084. That's #84 so you should be good.

Yes, I got the initial confirmation friday and checked the spam folder today...no luck. However I sent my check saturday (mailman picked it up) so JJP probably will not get it until tomorrow. If not I think its like you say...I'm on the edge and there will probably be a cancellation ahead of me. I gotta be close. Six months is a long way from now in this hobby. I might be the test case to find out how many Jack got allocated.
