Quoted from roddog:

Thinking about picking up a Baywatch off CL. Guy is asking 2500 for it. Do you guys notice anything suspect in these (low-res) pictures? Is there anything I should be sure to check if I physically visit the machine or should I ask any particular questions?
chicago.craigslist.org link

Nothing looks odd from the pictures. I don't' like the white flipper rubber on the shark flipper. Definitely need to see it first hand to make sure he isn't hiding anything in the pics

Quoted from roddog:

Ok I think I'm a member. What happens now? Do I get a jacket? Also, the inside of this cabinet is pretty dirty. What would you all recommend to best clean it out.

When you say inside of cabinet, do you mean the actual cabinet? If so, I just usually vacuum them out. Looks like this is your first used machine. You may want to get a bottle of Wildcat 125 to wipe down the playfield.

Quoted from Whysnow:

we REALLY need some more owners to get out there and leave your review and rating on Baywatch!
Such an awesome title and it deserves to be in the top 100 IMO. Sad to see it sitting so low.

Most people that rate it low, I believe have really never played it, or played it once and don't know the rules set. When I picked mine up, my wife said that game looks stupid. Roll forward a couple years and now she plays it all the time!

#893 7 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

Wildcat is a bad move as it contains silicone. Please use novus to clean and then ax that is only carnuba.

What does the silicone harm?

Quoted from northerndude:

Read, read, read the the forum threads that are stickied that have great tutorials on cleaning, maintaining, repairing. Pretty mucnh any question can be answered. Takes time to sift through them, but the knowledge people have here is second to none.
Welcome to the Baywatch club, love it here.

Quoted from gweempose:

Still waiting on some feedback about the Cliffy.

I installed the shark hole protector. It’s awesome! Haven’t taken the time to do the rest yet. No impact to game play. None of the cliffy’s I have put in any of my games have caused a negative effect.

#1778 6 years ago
Quoted from gweempose:

I just wanted to make sure it didn't make the shot significantly harder to hit. On some games, the Cliffy really changes the gameplay. For example, the lock shot is so much harder to hit on I500 when there is a Cliffy installed.

I updated my response after I scrolled back up and saw your question. I have cliffy’s on my funhouse, on my roadshow, on my haunted house and now on my baywatch. No issues on any of them. Interesting your indy500 has a problem.

#1779 6 years ago

With and without cliffy’s.

Is there any information on the number of baywatch machines produced?

#1926 6 years ago

I own baywatch and always look to see what my machines are selling for. Saw a sale on eBay for one and the guy listed it as “rare”. His “rare” comment made me curious and I went out to see how many were produced and could not find anything. Would agree with the comments that over a couple thousand for sure making it far from “rare”.

Heck of a drive but time spent with your family and pickup a pin is a win win.
Enjoy your bw,fun game to mod with silly figures, really love the jumping Dolphins, shaker is also out there if you like.

Always struggle with where is overboard when it comes to mods. I see you have the cliffy’s protector. Was so happy when he made it!

Lots of haters out there. I remember playing it everyday at lunch when it came out. Awesome design. Too bad people get so hung up on the theme. So glad I was able to get one a few years back.

If you can find it, I highly recommend the cliffy’s hole protector for the shark hole!

Quoted from RyanStl:

It's not hard to find. Cliffy will make it for you, just email him.

I have one.

What does the BAYWATCH v.4.01 UNOFFICIAL PATCH do? I’m thinking about getting this machine and would like to know what kinds of upgrades and updates that there are and what do they do. Thank you.

Great machine. People hate the theme, but one of the best games out there! Good luck getting one.

Seems like that broken piece could easily be reproduced with my 3D printer. Is the a common broken piece? Worth making and selling?

#3892 2 years ago

Sorry, what I meant was do baywatch owners have issues with this? I haven’t torn into mine to see. The button works so I have never looked into it. Just trying to see if this is a one off.

I can see people slapping the button to launch and possibly breaking parts inside.

Quoted from RyanStl:

That's a deal. Plus, you can get it right away. It took me about 6 weeks to get mine straight from Cliff.

It’s a must have IMO. Cleaned up my shark hole that was showing signs of wear from play
