Im in. I can never pass on a good deal. Heres my best deals from the last six years, all complete games

    1. Gamatron - $75
    2. Gottlieb Rock - $170
    3. Hollywood heat - $150
    4. Lost world - $50
    5. Flash $50
    6. Dipsy Doodle $100
    7. Space Mission (or lab, the 4 plyr one) $120
    8. WCS94 $600
    9. BSD $1000
    10. HS - $400
    11. BK - $400
    12. Checkpoint $350

And about a dozen EM's all under $150... Love me those deals !

Once had a $1000 TSPP , complete, on the line but the guy sold it before I could get there. This is after I rented a truck, and I was half way there. I got so mad at the guy I had to tell him he lost several thousand on that sale, he wasnt too happy.

It's no wonder you don't have your location posted. With deals like that I wouldn't either. 600 WCS...

He did... Scranton, Pa. NE Pa

Alot of these prices were in 2012 , but at the time they were still great deals. BSD price was on the rise sharply at this point, and the op just took it off route so I got lucky. These deals were also not easy to get, I had a CL autosearch I was using and all day had to sift through adds and deal with the agony of losing a deal. Many of the deals had I responded 90 seconds later I would have not gotten them.

Just missed a FREE Mylstar Jacks to Open , complete, twenty miles from my house. It woulda been the best deal to date.

I wasn't gonna assume because it was in his name that was his location, but okay.

Perhaps the true measure of a cheap bastard would be what have people refused to buy because the price was too high - while most people would have jumped on it. For example, about twenty years ago an op that I had a pretty good buying relationship with was selling a Melody. He wanted $250 for it and it was in pretty good condition, but at the time I had an informal policy never to pay more than $200 for an EM, so I offered him a lower price...he refused and sold it to a fellow collector who turned around and sold it at expo for more twice his purchase price.

Lesson learned, and I'm not quite so much of a Cheap Bastard now.

Not AS impressive but got a Williams Gulf Stream for $120....

I may have to leave the cheap bastards club in the next few months. I am slowing moving out the CBC pins and replacing them with minty newer machines. First one out was Monte Carlo it treated me well for the 9 months I had it. Black Belt will be going to a nice guy from Canada in Allentown next month. Next week I will be moving in a HUO World Poker Tour and hope to ad an AC\DC to the mix some time this year. I think Spy Hunter and Millionaire may be on the chopping block next only so much room/cash for the nice shiny pins. Oh and I almost forgot I'm sinking big bucks into my FunHouse full PF swap and about 700 in new parts ramps plastics etc. Man just a few months ago that would of gotten me at least one or two CBC pins. I think I will always have my Blackout so I hope that will allow me to continue to be the President/CEO/Janitor of the Cheap Bastards club.

Would love to find anything cheap here in central Florida, but a combination of not a lot of machines sitting in peoples basements (because swamp) and too many sharks picking what is there to be had...

I'm amazed at how many machines are listed on any given midwest CL listing vs. here in Orlando...

    #164 9 years ago

Sharks are problems here too End of good old days...

I was in Central Florida from the mid 1980's to the late '90's. I got more pins than I could handle. I know it has gotten more competitive everywhere, but I got pins much easier and for less money there than anywhere else I've lived since then. I miss those days. Good luck in the search!

At that time, we were buying out of state pins in bulk deals (100 or more) from route ops for $25 each plus shipping and clearing out old warehouses. I miss those days too.

    I'd call that epically qualified.
