Quoted from EJS:

Last night. Something easy as I was starting to get the common cold. Feeling slightly better today but I’ll probably be a mouth breather through tomorrow.

Still cedar season down here. Been a rough couple of days. I said fuck it. If my face is going to burn, eyes itch, and my nose run, it’s going to be worth it.

The good news is....the fucking Eagles lost the Superbowl! The better news is our pool box hit for 21K !

I’ve been catching up with USMCSGT0331 more recently and he says hello for those of you who remember his posts. He sent me a picture of his enjoying something from a PlanetExpress trade.

Quoted from PlanetExpress:

Have you smoked the black label or L’Atelier from that calendar yet? Those are two of my favorites from Tatuaje.

love ‘em both!

About halfway through I called up the place I got this from and they are setting a box aside for me. Picture is a little blurry this is the TAA.

Right now. A wonderful Partagas Presidentes received in a trade with PlanetExpress almost 18 months ago. This stick had an excellent pre-light aroma. The initial burn was a little wonky (pilot error I’m sure), but after one touch-up it burned perfectly. I believe he said this was a ‘17 or so. Great flavor and excellent burn. Many thanks!!

One of the few value choices left in Cuban cigars (along with Juan Lopez, BBF, and a few others)

Picked up my box of Tatuaje and Gloria is following me out the door again.

Lit a Davidoff while I’m here on the right.

Well there’s definitely notes of animal crackers. Interesting flavors. For the tighter draw and length of smoke I think I’d recommend the 5x50 if I were to try again. This was the 6x60 and was a little much.

I’ve had several people recommend this and I’ve had this one for awhile I think it came in a sampler. I think there’s 2 other sizes in my humi. Definitely a quality stick but the TAA 2022 is still top choice for me with Tatuaje.

The very end reminds me of those sweet tarts candy. I posted the picture a little late but about 2 hour smoke time.

70deg night in February calls for a great smoke…. Picked up this rare one in a trade with a great BOTL:

(No he didn’t get that one from me they are too good to give up. But I suspect that one came from this box tho)

I think this was another Pinside recommendation I’m not sure who. I recall these were a little more spendy than the New Worlds by AJ. I just remember buying them at the same time. This should be the Maduro variant.

Wiseman is a good smoke. Still, I’ll take the AJ New World over them any day. It’s hard to beat most AJ stuff for the price.

I was talking to the humi manager at TG and he’s saying a price increase on most Davidoff items. So much so the lesser priced items are becoming more appealing for their price point. I’m getting a lot of Mccallan notes here which makes it seem wine/ fruity which is fine by me but nothing that would make me chase after a box.

I have a 5 pack of these Wiseman so I’m still going to enjoy them but they aren’t “box worthy”.

Just starting out this one is hitting pretty good. They can still be found but the usual suspects seem to be sold out. I’m not too familiar on the background. This is my only one so I’m not going to dig into it too much.

Smoked the Oliva and forgot to take a pic. Fantastic! Flavor bomb for sure. Easy draw. Thick smoke. I’ll have to get more.

As for the 7 20 24, burned well. Smoked exceptionally. Just not much going on with flavors. Reminds me of a Davidoff. I may have to try it again.

Yes. If I didn’t have 30 of the other maduros I would have grabbed a box of these.

They come 10 to a box so you won’t get tired of them.

Here we go! Not quite a flavored but you can imagine what it tastes like. For the price and for drew estate I’d have hoped for better construction. Ash a bit loose and wrapper starting to crack. Bought yesterday locally and they’re good with their humidifier. But mild smooth and delicious. Priced a bit high for a repeat performance

I agree with 100% of your assessment. I’d smoke them regularly at $9. Be a good night cap or roadie driving home from a booty call.

Since it’s so close to spring maybe wait a month or two for a warm day but honestly just about any time is good for me. Might be a good one for when I have to drive an hour etc

The only hard part is I have to find it now

AVO Uzezian. Smooth. Mild. Pleasant. Should’ve smoked this at midnight rather than on my way to the office. Not dynamic enough in flavor to be box worthy, but I’d smoke again for sure.

Your Avo got me motivated to try my one Caribe I got in my package deal from Ranpastrana

I’d say this one is tolerable. I can tell it’s of good quality but still has that sour wet cardboard thing going on like all Avos I’ve had.

I know I’m a harsh critic of Avo but if I’d have one again I’d have this one again.

So, that AVO I had yesterday changed on me. It turned very bitter. Almost an ammonia smell to the smoke. It shouldn’t have. That cigars been in 65% humidity and between 66-69°F for over a year. Hopefully I just had a bad cigar and they’re not all like that.

I can’t remember the last time the space heater made an appearance here. With its support and a jacket it’s actually comfortable in the garage. Pretty tired tonight so just wanted a little something. Grabbed another from the Tatuaje Holiday.
