  Here is the latest update with the El Dorado... game wants to reset fully but does not. Score reels start for zero, but only get a couple clicks. Score motor not continuing to run to reset all reels. Then ball count doesnt seem right, then game ends prematurely.   Is this the advance unit? It has a Q relay under the playfield that advances it. Please forgive me, I cleaned up the game before I got under the hood so I have no idea where anything is yet. First time I've had an El Dorado. I've looked at every single switch extremely closely with a bright light I don't see anything crossed or closed.   My 4 and 2 year old grandsons have been playing some games on El Dorado recently when over our house. They normally gravitate to High Speed because of all the sound and flashing lights. But for some reason lately, they seem to like what El Dorado offers. haha.

  And sadly but fittingly especially with the story it was his last movie. Although Robert Mitchum is one of my all time favorites, I think I still prefer Rio Bravo as a whole over El Dorado.   I'm working on doing a PF swap on an El Dorado and I've noticed that most of the coil sleeve are just beat up and ancient, some are even missing. I know some parts sites have a package of sleeves you can buy to rebuild a whole game, but I can't seem to find one for the El Dorado. There's nothing in my manual about sleeves, or part numbers for that matter. It's frustrating that the Gottlieb parts manuals are paywalled. Does anyone have a list of the ones used in the game so I can build my own kit?

  Fucking chimp flippers! No, ever since I set up El Dorado at their place, they have actually developed skills and can figure out the rules on my games. If I get desperate I'll move it to my daughter's house so the grandkids, her, and my son-in-law can enjoy it. Possibly bring it to the Allentown or York shows.

  I see both sides of it. I'm selling an El Dorado and Jacks Open right now and nobody is interested at the prices I've listed them for. In a worst case scenario I hold on to them until the Allentown, PA or York, PA shows in 2024. These are highly regarded EM machines, but right now people don't even care enough to make an offer.

  Yup. And they’ve been tits up for 25 years. Really makes you think. But they were still in business for 25+/- years after those El Dorado look a like games. Really makes you think those games had nothing to do with them being out of business.

  Now that markets dead. Someone find me a $1500 Pinbot! X2 here on the Pinbot, While your at it...a Xenon, Black Knight, Space Shuttle, ....or or...Some EMs Like Buckaroo, El Dorado, Jet Spin, Target Alpha.   I am happy to report my Flash Gordon survived 5-6 hours of playing with no new problems. An 11 year old boy became addicted to pinball playing my Flash Gordon, High Speed, and El Dorado. Two of my favorite all time games. Nothing better than FG and El Dorado is great. High Speed is no slouch either. Good move indoctrinating them young.

  Abracadabra, Atlantis, El Dorado…. Case in point. El Dorado/Gold Strike/Target Alpha all have the same playfield layout. It's a cool table and should be considered A-list, lots of drops...just not for me.

  I’m not an EM expert, but like them and I keep an eye out for A list machines. I could probably be happy with an all EM collection. I have a Fireball, Jacks Open, and El Dorado. I think the top EM machines still sell, but other machines are probably sitting around. The prices still seem high to me. During COVID the prices of EM machines also increased.
