I picked up a Meteor this weekend from Shabazz18 and want to install colored LEDs. Anyone have a good guide to what color LEDs to put in the backbox? I'm thinking orange for the meteors, blue for the missiles and orange fading to white for the Meteor logo and white behind Stern.

I got a nice Meteor last weekend and am really enjoying it. I cleaned it up and added LED lights and about two days ago all my controlled lights quit working. I’ve checked the fuses on the rectifier board and made sure all the connectors are snug on the light board. I even reflowed solder on all the J1 connectors on the light board. I noticed that I wasn’t getting a good reading on TP1 on the rectifier board and it looks like a Frankenstein mess. Any thoughts on what to check next?

There's all kind of wires soldered in the back of the rectifier board as well, so it worries me a bit to figure out where they are all going, but I'm willing to dive in with a good copy of the schematics to trace everything correctly. Its definitely odd to have the bridge piece in between the molex connectors and the rest of the wiring... I'm glad there are replacement rectifier boards out there and the prices aren't bad. I'll definitely use new molex connectors since I noticed the large one at the bottom is in two pieces with some burn marks.

It ended up being a bad bridge rectifier BR 1. I changed it out and all the controlled lights are working again. I'll change out the rectifier board with a new replacement next weekend and put the old one up for sale in case someone is looking for an original Bally that needs some TLC.
