Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I never get the appeal of frozen candy bars.
It’s the same bar, just really cold and rock hard.
Would rather have a Mando topper.

Depends entirely on the bar in question... Anything with caramel in it can't be refrigerated or frozen as it's impossible to eat...

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Has anybody tried freezing their topper yet? Or their fully-capable PC with high end graphics card?

I can seriously over clock my gaming rig if I run it in the freezer

What does all this frozen sugar do to your teeth?

Thaws pretty quickly as you're eating. Don't chomp into it like a McRib or something. Fun Size is perfect for it, but if you want to be a grizzly, go full size.

I ate a room temp 100 grand bar the other day, it was TOUGH! Still delicious though. I can't imagine ever wanting a refrigerated one.

As a diabetic, you guys are killing me with this candy bar debate!

I'm hoping someone will make a replica topper with a screen that connects into boards just like the official Topper...at these prices, it seems like a very worthy hack...

I'd imagine that any video that is output for the topper isn't available if you don't own the topper since there is no node board detected during startup.

Someone put a monitor on the HDMI output of the main LCD early on before the release and was able to see the reversed Pepper's Ghost images. The game was running at the time, so maybe there was no plan for an attract mode in the topper and a replica might not be able to have one either, but the images seem to be sourced there.

They did, but then it was disabled in the next code release.

it's is, someone posted a video when the game came out showing the video from that feed

of course it was

Yeah I saw that. I still think that now that the topper has been produced, and code has been updated for it, it will require whatever node board the topper has to output video....similar to how you cannot install IC if a QR reader is not present during startup.

You could start by giving out free frozen candy bars. Just avoid anything with peanuts just tone careful.

I’m hoping someone like tilttopper makes a topper for $500 or under.

After 700+ posts, this thread is hilarious and showcases just how much Stern has got us wrapped around their little finger. What's next, the Mandolorian Topper Owners' Club?

I still feel it's a very adequate and different topper to put on top of a Mando. I wouldn't pay that much for it myself (not even half that), but I'm glad for the pinheads that bought into this and are happy with it.

Now, should we brace ourselves for a Godzilla topper with trademark 'breaking up buildings' and 'atomic breath' effect? $3000, but will come with optional Geiger counter to measure those resulting pesky radiations..!

For $3k that Geiger counter better be real and the radiation fake, because you can blow $6 bucks on a smoke detector and it comes with real radiation already built in.

lol, you get the idea!

Quoted from KozMckPinball:

Did this wedge come with the topper? In the other Mando thread some people said it was not included...

It is in the box, but it blends in with the packing. Easy to miss.

NEW SDTM! NEW TOY!

The Mandalorian Pinball Topper by Stern Pinball

The ULTIMATE Pinball Accessory? The GREATEST Pinball Topper?

#723 1 year ago

Got my topper installed and noticing that the beskar meter resets to zero when the game is turned on and off. The Jurassic Park and AIQ toppers maintain the progressive jackpot between power ups. Is the beskar count on this topper supposed to do the same?

You have to admit, Zach getting angry with R2D2 and his funny quips is worth watching this video. LOL Good one Zach!

Zach is hilarious. I just think like 30 years from now, when he is someones grandpa.... Going to be the funniest grandpa ever.

I would think so since accumulation of Beskar gets you to Beskar Bonanza and it takes many games of accumulation to get there.

Geez...the guy posts a video detailing a topper in a thread dedicated to information on said topper...and he gets downvotes? Who pissed in your cheerios snakesnsparklers and Psw757 ?

#728 1 year ago

Looks better in Zachs' Video than Sterns initial clip that just had the static Blue lighting. At least it has some more action going on. Toppers are NOT going to be cheap going forward I'm afraid. looking forward to see what Stern has in store for other newer Pins - especially RUSH.

I can't wait for the maglev hoverboard topper at $4000 for BTTF.

If you must know why I downvoted, it's due to the clickbait comments. Nothing about the video itself.

Just got mine installed and the holograms have a cool effect that doesn't seem to stand out on the other videos. I was surprised to see the beskar at zero as well, I'll turn off and on and see if it resets. One issue is the mirror is crooked. Looks like they didn't tighten the lock screws down tight so is slid down and it's slightly crooked. Can't tell if the image is crooked or if it's my brain. Either way I'll probably have to get in there and fix it. (queue the torches and pitchforks) I don't know that the wedge was necessary on mine though, I'll have some shorter people than me weigh in. The light show in there seems better than previous videos as well. Can't wait for the crew to come over and critique it.

Well, for $1999 you can only do so much to tighten screws.. what do you expect, Stern to up the cost of the topper to $3K and actually have the person making the topper take an extra 20 seconds to make sure the screws are tight? Just be happy you got a topper, bud.

#734 1 year ago

I cycled the power and sure enough it resets the beskar meter.

#735 1 year ago

Is there a setting that be changed by chance?

Is the affect you mention that it looks beam projected from the bottom? (Can see individual light beams).

For $2K it should come with self-sealing stem bolts........ oh wait, wrong Star franchise.

Yeah man...I have never had to tighten one screw on any game or accessory I have owned in my entire lifetime.

Quoted from KozMckPinball:

No the fact that it’s not a static image. There is some flickering and a refresh line going through it kind of like an old television set.

Only question I have why is it Boba Fett’s signet that it defaults to? The nerd in me would rather see the rhino…

Mine does the same. That seems like quite an oversight on stern’s part. Hope they fix it in future code.

I reported to stern, for whatever good that does. Have never received a response in 20 years of reporting bugs, so might just as well be pissing into the wind.

Hopefully those games are far more complex then a molded plastic topper with stickers, glass window, LCD, and a few blinking LED's... oh wait, that's close to about what's in a modern Stern, just spread out more

Is your mirror lower on the left then it is on the right? it looks almost the same as mine and I’m looking at some other pictures and see the same thing.

#749 1 year ago

So what’s a realistic run rate for this topper?

If it’s <1000 pcs then that price may barely cover total development and tooling etc. cost.

#750 1 year ago

Do the toppers drop ship? Just wondering as there is adverse weather in the distros geo and I have not received shipping info yet.
