Quoted from KozMckPinball:Are you on game code 1.40 for your game version?
I am but I’m not the one with the topper issue lmao

Quoted from Palmer:Got mine today. Unfortunately it’s not working. When connected, it searches for node boards 1,8, and 9. It eventually gets through startup and but everything is out. When I power down, disconnect the Ethernet cable, and power back up, it’s fine.[quoted image]
Probably a loose Ethernet cable in the topper node board

That is what I am thinking. Or a bad board altogether. Yeah I’m on 1.40 code. Going to reach out to Stern support before taking it apart.
Quoted from 1963BSARGS:The beskar counter bug really grates me for some reason. Seems like stern would’ve fixed it by now.
I look at is as a feature, because I really can't think of anything less appealing than a mode that only occurs every X games. Talk about adding an * to a score.
Pinball should be between the player and the game, not if you're lucky enough to play game 50 after 49 other people.

Might be cool if it was tied to your insider ID?

Why?
That would just make your score every 50 (or however many) of your games equally tainted.
I don't object to the idea of toppers adding modes. If you play the game with the topper you get a chance for the mode. You play one without it you don't, and the scores between them have no relevance.
But the idea of "sometimes, through repetition or luck, you get something different on your game then the other times you play it" just defeats the point of a game where recording scores matters.
If someone wants to make a pin where progress carries over from game to game maybe that's interesting, but the scoring would have to be taken into account somehow.
If there's a separate score for any game with Mando Madness I guess that would be okay? Seems annoying still though, if you're trying to beat your last Mando Madness score that's recorded you'd have to arbitrarily wait to try. Meh.

Honestly for me newer games while I like to get a good score I also enjoy trying to make it into modes I haven’t seen. There is plenty of randomness ragardless for example Dank Farrick multi ball .
Quoted from KozMckPinball:Anybody get to Mando Madness yet?
I did, it's obtainable for sure.
I also taped the topper install which might be interesting for this thread.
(my wedge kit is still "in the mail")

Fair, and to each their own. We all play for our own reasons, I just don't really dig on something that affects the integrity of the game in that way.

Wow 200 million awarded for getting to Mando Madness!

Yikes Aurich is gonna flip a lid ! Haha JK
At least Mando Madness has to be obtained by doing stuff .
Quoted from Meldenhut:Has anyone had a look inside the topper to see what node board is being used?
Manual says 520-8530-00
HDMI Adapter-Topper
I dont think that node board has been used anywhere else yet.
Quoted from eyewantone:Anyone know when the next batch of toppers is supposed to be ready?
+1

I thought it was March/April of next year.
