As an owner of a tesla, you do not want the first deliveries of the Cybertruck.....Tesla has lots of build issues when releasing new models. I would personally wait at least 6-12 months. I waited a few years before getting the 3 and it still has some annoying issues that shouldn't be there....

Quoted from jeffro01:What is your point? Yes Tesla has recalls, and guess what... So does EVERYONE else... LOL...
Jeff

and the fix to this particular recall? a trip to the dealer? Nope, an over the air software update.....that's the future fellas....

I just read an interesting article on the f150 lighting. Towing a 6000 lb trailer simply kills your range. It will be interesting to see how Tesla deals with this issue with the cybertruck. I guess if you have a big enough battery, losing half the range may still be ok. Of course is you live in a cold climate, you are doubly screwed......

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

It's weird, and I haven't figured out how to do a 180 with only 1 hand, but you get used to it. I prefer the circular wheel but really it hardly ever is an issue.

worse comes to worse, you can always swap it out with a regular wheel.....

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I have had the Hummer EV in my possession for about 1 month now. Comparing it to my Tesla model X I noticed a few things:
-Everyone stares at the hummer when Im driving it. Nobody gives a rat ass about my Tesla.
-Little BMWs and little guys with their little tiny "fast and furious cars" want to race me when in the Hummer.. I have no idea why, very annoying. They are like little flies. One hit from my Hummer will likely pulverize them in seconds
-The Hummer is more comfortable, probably because Im sitting higher , and has more front passenger room
good purchase! I would still lean more towards Tesla for the  total tech package, phone app
Tesla = fast . Hummer = fast and get out of my way.

what is fast charging like? How long does it take to charge that big boy in fast charging?

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I just charge it over night like I do my model X. I plug it in when Im ready for bed let say 8-9 ish then 6-7 am its usually charged up.. getting like 11 miles/hr rate with my charger.
This is ok with me, I dont need to charge it faster,
but it will be able to use tesla supercharger starting next year for road trips!

Being able to use the Tesla supercharger network is a game changer. I mostly charge at home with my model 3 but when travelling the supercharger network is great. My battery is probably half the size of yours so it charges fairly quick at the superchargers.

Enjoy the ride.

Quoted from jchristian11:

Makes no sense to me why you wouldn’t buy one vehicle to cover 100% of your needs.

I drove a tundra pickup for over ten years. Now I drive a Tesla car. It’s much more fun driving a car around than a big heavy truck. I still have the truck for very occasional use but much prefer driving the car around.
