Ive got a Surfer I need to get off of the restoration pile...

IF you want to spend 2 hours removing the coil from the rod...there is the U metal bracket, the fiber collar, the metal collar. Hack saw to cut the collar

PBR sells most of this, you'll need coil, coil stop etc

It may be melted onto the shaft.
