Hi chaps,
I have a TZ that requires a complete clock assembly as it is missing. Does anyone know where I can buy the whole thing?
Cheers
Nevermind found the motor

Easy not listed
2 bulb sockets 2 leds 2 bulb caps (1 red 1 yellow) a few e clips and 8 screws
Hard parts
You need this A-16653(the shaft) and the rods that hold the gears and the wire harness
A used one if available will be way cheaper a nos one would be about the same or more then the build option

Don't see them too often anymore. I was lucky and found one a year ago for my TZ here. Greased the gears, put in a new LED clock board, swapped faces ( I have an early sample TZ ). Hopefully good for another 28 years.
There wasn't enough left of my original clock anymore to keep it going. Literally every part was worn/shot. Better for my players to be able to start over fresh.

A day and a half left.

I own the game and was lucky enough to repair my clock.
If you had to build one from scratch, this is still kind of a deal once you figure prices of parts, shipping costs, customs charges and waiting/aggravation factor.
If you MUST have your game bone stock , again there it is.
Question: Is it important to return the hands to the original position? I took mines apart and did see that it is suggested to return to original….

Uh, if you don't, the hands will never align properly.
Unless I'm misunderstanding the question..

If the hands where removed at 3:16 do you need to be placed back at 3:16? I don’t know what the time was originally…

Oh, BIG YES.
If you don't remember what time the clock had, then follow the manual, and put ALL the gears in one by one, following the instructions. This will verify that all gears are aligned properly. (Following the directions, when you reassemble all the gears, the clock will be as midnight when you're finished.)

I just ordered the manual thank you!!!

No worries! PDF would have worked too, if you're in a hurry.

Quoted from knazzo:If still needed, i have a complete original Twilight Zone Prototype Clock Assembly for sale.
Prototype or SAMPLE?
Quoted from knazzo:It has the original Prototype Clock Decal.
Can you get a pic? All the prototype decals were replaced by the white clock faces during development of the game, though it's possible one or two got out.
Quoted from knazzo:You are right, it's a sample clock. Decal is the white one, prototype is different.
Damn, thanks for checking! I have an actual proto playfield, and was REALLY hoping you actually DID have the proto clock, because they'd look fantastic together!
Coyote
I always thought that the prototype clock face was white.
What is different about the prototype clock face?

Yeah - because the clock originally had controlled (lamp matrix) lamps in it, if I recall right they were going to have the clock me 'more interactive' - but penny pinchers, yadda yadda.. IMHO, while it would have been neat, that color pattern/scheme, for me, doesn't fit well with anything else on the game.

That prototype clock face looks like dookie. So does the white one IMHO.
The production version is the best, again, IMHO…..

Agree. Neat to know but I would not choose that clock face.
