I'm so sick of taxes, taxes and more taxes. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't waste most of the money on a pile of bullshit and lining their own pockets.

    It's absolutely disgusting.

    Quoted from Pinless:

We pay enough to have it all, but our money is busy being spent elsewhere.

    Exactly.

    Quoted from Fifty:

The Ontario provincial government has really started getting their asses together and the province is actually working with a surplus. There are even talks of taxes being reduced soon.
No. Actually, that was all a lie. Wouldn't it be nice though?

Pennsylvania did the same thing only with casinos. “We’re leagalizing gambling so we can reduce or eliminate property taxes!!”

The year after they did that, my taxes dropped by $11/month. The following year, they went up almost $50/month.

I’m currently paying ~$6,000/year on an assessment of $270k. Makes me want to puke.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I love how everybody is a “taker” and “bottom feeder” until you actually hear their stories and stop looking at them like scapegoats.
It’s possible here might be more people
    Like oldpinguy out there.

No one ever said anything like that, but you're naive to believe that their aren't. I used to bowl with a guy that was collecting full disability for a back injury, yet two times a week he was throwing a 14lb ball down a lane.

I'm all for using my tax dollars to help people that are legitimately disabled or otherwise need assistance. What I'm not a fan of is the egregious waste and fraud associated with the public assistance programs.

There are way to many people on the wagon and not enough people pushing it. It's an unsustainable system.

I’m starting to get the idea some of you guys don’t like taxes!

If you like them so much, I'll be more than happy to give you mine.
