Video mode is better but it's still a video mode, ugly, boring, waste coding time

Quoted from Captain_Kirk:Steve Ritchie and Dwight Sullivan obviously think otherwise.
Those guys also thought using flashers instead of spotlights was a good idea
Quoted from Captain_Kirk:And they did. They're Pinball designers. And experienced ones.
Except they were wrong. GoT (stock) has the worst seizure inducing light show I've ever seen on any pinball. It's one thing for a game to be poorly lit. It's quite another for its lighting to interfere with the game play. These guys are old timers and not privy to modern technology. A dmd based video game in an era of UHD video and a seizure inducing implementation of LEDs is proof.
Quoted from Eskaybee:And how's the lighting now?
I believe they self admittedly reported programming the initial lighting in a brighter than normal room? In any case, did they get this resolved? That's really what's most important.
Absolutely not resolved with the design of what they have. The only resolution would be to take the two spotlight flashers in the lower area and turn them into always on lights that never flash even with the GI. (This is in fact how I modified my machine). And while that helped a ton, the strobing during the jackpots on blackwater multiball is still rough. The game was designed to be played in a well-lit room. In that case, it's not really that big of an issue. Completely unplayable in the dark. Anyone trying to argue that the flashing lights is part of the challenge and fun is just kidding themselves. No one wants that crap. If you like that type of challenge maybe play with your eyes closed.
Quoted from John1210:Is there an extra intense setting?
Yea and instead of blackwater jackpot sounds, bag comes out to catch the barf for when your seizure causes you to throw up. It's great fun.
