As long as more new people keep getting into pinball, the price will keep rising.

Megan Fox got 4 new pinball machines delivered this week. I'm sure she has the cash and the room for more.

Megan has older machines too, and a life size R2D2.

Who needs Viagra when you got a girl with a R2D2 ?

    Quoted from jpop:

When does Stern start buying out the competition and bring them into the fold?

Stern would have to have some actual competition to buy out.

One game every 3 years does not make for much competition.....

    Quoted from Ika:

I don't think comparing an A-list blockbuster movie star with millions of dollars of disposable income to an average newbie entry to pinhead market makes any sense.

I'm not making any such comparison.

Megan Fox was not even born when I started collecting pins.

As long as more new people keep getting into pinball, the price will keep rising.

    Quoted from Wolfmarsh:

I guess I don't see why retailers buying a pin then selling it for more money is a problem.

That is what ALL retailers do.

At least the ones who want to stay in business.

If you've listed an old sports car on CL, you have had calls from dealers.

They pretend they are interested, talk a bunch, and at some point mention that they "work" at a car dealer that has some other "high end" old sports cars always in stock.

It's a shitty soft sell, but I get it all the time.

Same with Guitar Center. List a high end vintage guitar on CL and it won't take long until someone talks your ear off, only then to mention in passing that they work at GC. "Good luck with your sale, and look me up at GC if you are serious about ......"

    The market just turned.

    I could feel it.

As soon as Stern makes a run for JJP

I don't think Stern wants any part of JJP.

Other that JJP showing Stern how high it could raise prices, one game every 3 years is not exactly something to strive for.

couple low end cheapy Pins (Big Game and a Space Shuttle one)

Shuttle is one of the best games of all time.

    Quoted from ManiacMama:

I honestly think I am overpaying for these games but I do want them. He is asking $6,000 for all 3. Is that to high?

Highest I've seen a Shuttle is $2600, but you can find them well under $1000 if the playfield shot.

Condition better be great on those games.
