Has anyone routed a power switch to the front of the Skee-Ball machines? Where did you mount? what switch type did you go with? Did you do a disconnect at the lane separation?

Yes, I'm interested in two new pucks.
BTW: My old pucks are 2.238" Diameter by .691 (11/16" +) thick , 10.3 oz.

You do realize that the bottom of the puck has a very slight (.002") belly to it? It's not flat; if it were, it'd stop halfway down the alley and never return properly.
The belly allows clearance for the silicone powder and causes the puck to float over the layer of powder.

Yes, this is the original puck to the game that we are doing.

The center "peak" of the bottom wears out, right through the chrome plating. That's why you need to replace it. Worn out a few over the years, and it'll be good to have a source for new pucks.

Pinball resource sells them. No need to re create these things.

I see their 2 3/4 standard and 2 7/8 jumbo puck for shuffle bowlers but not these smaller 2 1/4" pucks.

I just spoke with Steve at PBR. He does not have *targette* style pucks and he does not know if anyone makes them.
BTW: He is out of stock on standard 2 3/4" standard pucks.
Quoted from Bowlerguy:We are currently in process to make both the 12oz. and the 5 oz 2 1/4" Pucks.
Great!
5 oz pucks??
Like i posted previously, my puck is 2 1/4" x 11/16" thick weighed 10.3 oz.
At 5 oz the puck would only be 3/8" is thick??

5oz puck is 11/16" tall, for a different game.

I think I figured out why *your* puck weights more. My puck has a almost 100% edge radius while on yours the radius is smaller, making for more flat surface area and more weight.
I'm not sure why or which one is *better*, more correct, or more economical to produce. However any replacement puck is better then a rusty puck or no puck at all.
Thank you for taking this on.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Story time! Once upon a time my parents owned and operated an amusement park. It was the family livelihood from the time I was 2 until the time I was 12 (rought childhood, I know). The one set of arcade machines that never changed the entire time they ran the park, was the Skee Ball machines. We had 3 or 6 maybe? In any case, these Skee Ball machines played attract music randomly, everytime someone played a game it would go through the same music, and there was always the deep heavy thrum of someone rolling a ball. I can still hear it in my sleep. It drove my dad almost insane. After 10 years, the park closed down and my parents moved us across the country to open up a gym and start a new life. They built the gym in a strip mall, and the strip mall had a restaurant right next door... with arcade games! What was right on the other side of the wall next to my dad's office? That's right... a Skee Ball machine... You could hear every... damn... game through the wall. The horror.
Been thinking about Skee Ball lately and found this post perusing the thread. Amazing how the world can seem so big and so small at the same time haha. Great story. Reminded me of this episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. She hears the tune later in the episode and goes psycho haha.
