Looks like that wireform could stand an adjustment to the left

#802 4 years ago

Its the angle of the photo that makes it look off.Its actually bang on straight.

how do you find the cliffy lane protectors? The ball often gets trapped on mine

I have not had a problem at all with them.

Keep shaking or put it on the flipper?

The ball popped up from the upper playfield and got wedged between a couple of boulders!

I think this one jumped from the right sling.

Airball during last phase of Alien Invasion on TSPP, so couldn't finish the mode. I freed the ball while the game was collecting all the balls and it for whatever reason ended my ball in play.

The outlanes are brutal on gorgar..to have the ball sitting on the post was unthinkable

In less than 300 plays i've somehow managed to get a ball in the bottom of the cabinet on MM twice.
Still can't figure out how it happened.

I got the first two stuck, then hoped the third one would help loosen things up.

Just had this happen a couple of days ago. Very slow roll caused it to wedge under the spinner bracket. Took 4 ball searches to knock it loose.

Playing ST:TNG the other night during a multiball when the ball stopped and balanced on the post between the inlane and outlane. Even balls dropping from the above habitrail didn’t move it one way or the other. A slight nudge got it loose but it stayed there a lot longer than I thought it would. After the game I took the glass off to make sure there wasn’t a reason that it stuck there (playfield issue, etc). Didn’t see anything so chalking it up to the twilight zone that sits next to it messing with me.

Not sure I've ever seen anything quite like this. Playing Aerosmith last night and not only did three balls get stuck coming off of the middle ramp, but two were stuck very briefly in the scoop. I am just amazed I was able to snap a picture.

Jp pro in the wild, yup...I broke it. I knocked the post off by the upper right flipper. It played
ok for a while before it lodged itself here. Game over man.

I hadn’t seen this myself yet...
Ball was screaming down the lane and then hit the brakes, I thought I could grab another pic angle and ball search knocked it out with the sling.

AFM....behind the saucer by the VUK. It hit the gate as it was going down and jumped onto the back plastic. The glass had to come off for this one.

not really stuck, just a tap of the flippers would jar them loose, but it was a weird lay.

Did it again, same JP Pro, same game room. I didn't think there was room for a third ball under that truck but ,go figure. Ended that run, but at least the machine was still playable.

When I first got this Big Indian four years ago, the flippers were fairly weak, and it took a good flipper-momentum shot to get to the drop targets. After cleaning the EOS and flipper button switch contacts and adjusting the switches back then, the flipper strength improved greatly, but this is the first time since then that a flipper shot resulted in the ball launching to get stuck between a lane guide and the glass! (Yeah, I know, the lane guides aren’t the correct colors, that’s how I got it.)

Nice, I bet you were judge dreading having to wiggle that one loose. See what I did there.

The actual pinball is the one on top. If you look closely, it's not wedged, just resting on the post.

As weird as it looks it's not that unusual an occurrence. I posted an image earlier in the thread and then noticed one posted prior to that of the same incident. Really screws the pooch if you got a good ball going. I've been playing it for the last month at the mall where I work and I absolutely love this title. Put up 555 million last night.

I've barely played the pin, and had it happen. I tilted the game trying to shake it loose, but still had to fix it by hand. You would think that Stern would have experienced it during testing and done something to prevent it. If it occurs too often then I'm going to have to come up with a solution.

#841 3 years ago

I've given it some thought, and a simple L bracket or even a screw mounted under the back of that jeep should keep that from happening. Wondered the same thing, why Stern didn't catch that. It's happened to me twice and there's no shaking it loose.

This is from a DE Jurassic Park behind the dinosaur sign. Although these pics are of the same time, the ball was stuck there once before.I shook the hell out of the machine but it wouldn't budge. I had to take down the glass to get it out. I get a few air balls from this pin.

Crazy, I posted this in a different thread but this happened on my X Files a few days ago. How does it only happen with one ball on a game with no magnet though?

Playfield wear from 32 years! I cropped the photo; check the wear under the habitrail. I'm sure it's partially due to small bits sticking to the ball, which often comes down the lane with a lot of spin, which wears a channel out. I've had it happen before but this was the first picture I took of it.
