    Quoted from kaneda:

Ready for a Cargument? Turbos are a cheaper way to get horsepower, but companies aren't charging less as cars get more powerful. It's an upgrade.

I'm no gearhead but I'm pretty sure this is a bad comparison. Turbo is not cheap, it requires many other things down the line (valves, piston rings, transmission, etc) to make the entire system work (it's not just tossing a fan inline with the exhaust, that's what ricers do and blow things up. A real car company (with warranties) has to do a lot of backend work. But I get your point, LCD upgrade is cheap (or cheaper). I keep saying Stern should have tested a color capable display years ago (even if you continue to do shades of red), and then when you know you can program it and the hardware can handle things, you code the next game with color (and possibly go back to old titles and colorize them without a hardware upgrade).

    Quoted from konghusker:

The other thing pointing at no LCD in GB is the leaked back glass. The back glass seemed to be full size, therefore leaving no room for an LCD. I didn't read much about the leaked photo, only looked quickly. Unless the leaked photo is the back glass image that appears on the LCD similar to woz of course, but I didn't see it that way.

Spooky is doing color in same cutout size. Heck, if Stern wanted to be a little cutting edge they could squeeze a double height SEGA sized display in the same size bezel (just make the cutout bigger)
