In the club!! Machine isn't working, but spent some time cleaning up and doing some research tonight. Appears that I've got 2 bad bridge rectifiers. Looking forward to getting the first problem fixed so I can actually start a game and uncover what else is not working.

FINALLY FINISHED!!! System 80 did not get the best of me. Lol. If you flip back to when I got it this was basically a barn find. It came out nicely.

Looks beautiful. Nice work. Hopefully mine will come us as nice.

OK, working through my machine. Looking to solve some electrical issues (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/haunted-house-system-80-blows-f4-transistor). In the meantime, I'm also looking at some cosmetic things also. I'm missing the right and top trim on the backglass. Looks like these aren't available from any of the usual suspects including PBR. Any suggestions? Are there any alternatives that someone has used?

I would hit up Gatecrasher here on Pinside

Thanks. Reached out. Will report back here once I hear back and, if he has them, the results.

Here's a little tip

Great tip. Wish I had read it the day you posted. Lost a fuse down in there. Oh well. Hadn't thought about putting anything in there, but will do so now. Still working to bring mine back to life so I'll have plenty of small parts to save in the near future. Thanks!

He didn't have access to any right now. Marco has the lift channel but not the sides or top.

On the good news front I finally got mine playable last night. 2 new capacitors, 2 new bridge rectifiers, and a replacement power supply and I'm officially in business. Still have 2 pops that don't work and needs some cosmetic work. And I think I'll investigate LEDs too. Real progress!

One of the switches in my "Q" relay (part MA-224) is putting off a nice electric green light show at power up and eventually blows fuses. Checked Steve Young's and Marcos and don't see these switches listed for HH. Any suggestion for where to get the stack or which switch to buy individually?

Did you try Pinball Life or Lakeside?

Didn't see anything on Pinball Life but will check out Lakeside. Not familiar with them. Thanks! Ps - looks like you have a nice HH. LEDs look good. When mine is 100% that's where I'm going next.

Trying to chase down an issue and hoping folks might be able to give guidance or take a picture next time someone has their upper flayfield flipped up. The light on my pop bumper has been out. And, the far left round insert on the right side of the upper playfield is also out.

Upon closer inspection, there were two things soldered to the socket bracket for the insert light. (1) a green wire that runs to the pop bumper light and (2) a pair of wires. There was also another pair of wires that was hanging loose that looked like it fit perfectly next to the other pair. I figured this was the source of the problem. The solder broke free and the wires just needed to be resoldered and all would be good again. You'll note that i didn't mention the colors of the two pairs of wires because - here's the embarrassing part - I didn't pay attention to which of the pairs was connected and which were hanging free. (doh!)

The colors of the pairs (you'll see in the pictures below) are:
- White with Black stripe.
- White with Gray and Purple stripe.

As soon as I soldered both together, it blows my GI fuse. So now I'm wondering if all 5 wires (the pop green and two pairs) should actually be soldered to the light socket bracket. When trying to solder one pair of wires to the bracket, the heat will unsolder the pop bumper light. So, you'll notice I just pigtailed an orange wire to the bracket and then connected to the other wires to the pigtail. With my poor soldering skills, that is just a bit easier.

So, can anyone confirm the purpose of each of the pairs? Are these both soldered to the same bracket on your machine? Or do they go someplace else?

I have a manual, but don't see anyplace that seems to show the wire colors and their functions. Thanks in advance for any help.

In the meantime, I do happen to have some pics of when I had the upper off to replace my bank of drop targets.

Hey, thanks very much. Those don't have a clear shot, but actually are good enough that it seems to show only the white-gray-purple wires going to the socket. That would explain why the GI blows when adding the white-black into the mix. But still no idea where the white-black get connected. They were just hanging loose. Assume it's related somehow to the pop and insert lights not working. Definitely appreciate any suggestions or clearer shots if someone has them. Getting closer.

Still haven't figured out my loose white / black pair of wires on the upper playfield. Logically seem to be involved in the pop bumper light and far left circle insert. Anyone know where these connect? Thanks to davebart5, I was able to confirm they don't go where I thought they should. But appreciate anyone who could make a suggestion or share a pic to solve this mystery.

Sijcolo Thanks for taking the time to check that. So I had it right (I might be crazy but wasnt wrong). Now just need to find out why connecting it like this blows my GI fuse.

Looks like it's soldered on the screw plate (not the tab)?

Yeah, looks like the white / black, the green / white, and the white / purple / grey are all connected to the screw plate, not the lug tab. But, it also looks a bit like white / purple / grey could be connected to the lug with the solid green. l can see it both ways. Regardless, I tried holding the purple grey to the lug just to be sure. Didn't work (though didn't blow a fuse).

Thanks to everyone who lent a hand and a word of advice on this. Finally figured it out today. Very hard to see even with photos, but... white black wires went to screw plate for the insert light socket and the white / grey / purple went to the socket lug (not sure if that's the right name, but the side isolated from the screw plate. So frustrating and yet so simple. I love pinball.
